Really wish she had a defeat like other outlast villains. It was even set up perfectly in her last encounter. Make it a requirement to trick her into getting her drill hand stuck in the meat grinders, and watch as she's chopped and sliced into bits, meeting a fitting end for all the patients she's grinded up

It's really cool that they really have an effect when the player collapse in water and the sound of being choked underwater and mother gooseberry's dialogue heard unclear when you're underwater. These little tiny details really adds up to the immersion which is what Outlast was known for eversince ❤
Holy Hell her screams and grunts trigger my fight of flight mode. I punched the screen...that's why I can't watch the Outlast games people.

Gooseberry reminds me a lot of the Clown from Dead by Daylight. Both lacking mothers, both violently tortured by their fathers, both driven insane and having a gruesome love for theatrics and playtime....plus they both have freaky fetishes for body parts. Kind of makes me wonder how Phyllis would react to the Realm. It might be paradise for her.

You really shouldn’t. Our dear “Mother Gooseberry” according to evidence documents within the game, used her children’s variety show and a mail order “dental drops” business to hook a generation of children on narcotics, violence, theft, and quite possibly murder. She was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, and racketeering, and then she killed two police during a raid on her studio. She was then subjected to “dermatological experiments” in prison, such as exposure to carbonic acid, dioxin, and grafts of infected corpse flesh to test commercial products for a company, causing her… less than stellar appearance. Even so, You and I can and should still feel bad for her. She’s still a human being and no one deserves… this. No one, not Billy, not Trager, not Chris, not Martin, not the Ex-Pops, not Coyle, not even the whole of the Testament of New Ezekiel deserved to have Murkoff root around in their brains and start rearranging the furniture to their liking. Truly vile people.
@@noxamillion4514 Well when she was young, she had to deal with a very abusive father. How and what that abusive father did to her is remained unknown but whatever happen lead her to develop this disorder with the puppet and her changed beliefs for children. It's even stated that the corpse of the dad was never found, making it more disturbing, considering her relationship and semi erotic behavior with the puppet.
Again, she still a monster but she wasn't a cold blooded criminal all her life
@@OctavianAfton I assumed as much. I would most likely assume her father was a dentist, manifesting in her split personality as that grotesque duck puppet. I would perhaps feel more sympathy than I already do if we knew the specifics of her upbringing, but it is still unknown. Even so, abuse doesn’t justify kidnapping or murder. Still feel bad for her, as I said above, but it is tempered. As I said before, no one deserves what Murkoff does to them, not even her. I (metaphorically) weep at the potential possibilities of the person she could have been without Murkoff’s and her father’s influence, just as I weep at the lives the rest of the Ex-Pops could have lived with Murkoff’s meddling.
As you said, “she’s still a monster, but she wasn’t a cold-blooded criminal all her life.” The only thing that is left is to feel sympathy for the devil (metaphorically speaking on the devil part).

Ok so I’ve seen people everywhere saying that Phyllis’ dad just abused her emotionally, but the lines “Give him the Goose Grease daddy!” followed by “it’s best to just let him finish” doesn’t leave any room for speculation in my mind of the kinds of abuse he put her through.
