  • The Dena'ina Center opened in September 2008 and became the new home for Alaska's Native Youth Olympics in 2010. Organized by Cook Inlet Tribal Council, the Games feature over 500 athletes from communities across the state, demonstrating their strength, agility and skill in traditional games including the Alaskan High Kick, Seal Hop and more. NYO Games are open to all Alaskans grades 7-12 and foster teamwork, leadership, cross-cultural standing and respect. Dena'ina shares these goals and couldn't be prouder to be the Gathering Place for NYO!
