I've been singing the praises of Porto for a while now. My husband and I were there last summer and he fell head over heels for it. We will definitely continue to vacation there and its surrounding cities.
I visited Porto in September 2022 with my daughter for her special birthday and I fell in love with the city. We explored the city on our own when we arrived and then met up with a group a few days later. The wine tours were heavenly and food was delicious. The environment was great and I plan to return in June 2025 for more activities. Thank you for your channel!🙏🏽
Hey Loren, thank you for watching 💕 and please forgive the delay in responding. Our recent MeetUps have thrown our schedule off. 😳 We love Porto but Lisbon is home. Hey Ric & Halisi 👋. So glad to see this video! Now you're hitting close to home. We're planning our return trip to Porto to explore the surrounding area for the community we want to settle in. This time I plan to stay for 2-3 weeks. For those who are up for it, if you're looking for a great place to stay for a great price consider Sandeman Hostel, less than $20/night in the dorm room or about $40/night (I think) for a private room. Porto is definitely still one of the best keep secrets of Portugal.
I never get why everyone raves about Lisbon, it seems crowded, grafitti filled and hilly- and esp crazy in tourist season. Porto has always been and some of the smaller cities- my faves.
Cuz we love us some Lisboa 😆 - We do stay away from the tourist areas in the summer...for the most part. I realized I LOVE the city and the energy. But Porto's got a vibe that makes it a place we will be returning to on a regular basis.
Good evening from Naples ,FL I can't wait to visit Portugal ! I love your drone footage and pictures of Porto ... you are a beautiful couple ❤ Thanks for sharing 🦋

I'm assuming you mean Porto. Right across the street from the train station is Astros - best Bifanas in Portugal. After walking through the historic areas to get to the river, cross the river to the Gaia side and have a wine tasting.
I'm happy to know that you liked my city and know that you will always be welcome. However, I felt compelled to rectify small errors, so that the video conveys the most correct information to your followers: 1 - The name of the bridge with two decks is not the "D. Maria Pia" bridge but the "Luis I" bridge. 2 - The engineer responsible for the design and construction was not Gustave Eiffel, but rather Théophile Seyrig, who was a founding partner of the Eiffel Company, obviously together with Gustave Eiffel. In fact, Seyrig was a competitor of Eiffel, having both presented projects for the construction of the bridge, a competition that Seyrig won. I just wanted to make this correction because it is a common mistake that many people make, but it does not correspond to the truth of the facts. Warm greetings from a proud Porto native, or tripeiro, if you prefer.
Thank you for the information - it seems that you have to triple-check the information that you find doing Googles 🫢. Thank you for watching. We love living in your beautiful country and feel very blessed to be here.
