    Bruce the shark from Jaws transcends the label of a mere movie monster; he epitomizes the quintessential movie monster, embodying the very essence of cinematic terror.

    Of course it is. “Bruce” with all its imperfections is the most iconic movie prop of all time. Breaks my heart to think that it was left to rot on the back lot. But again things were done differently back then. And Universal couldn’t possibly know how important and iconic that original shark would become. I wonder wish some group would reconstruct the original. Not the full platform and apparatus. But just working the shark on a base like the one they used in the tank for the underwater attack at the cage.

    Very much so. Universal film famous for Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Mummy, and similar water shots like The Creature from the Black Lagoon. It most certainly is an abnormally sized great white if we are to believe Quint correcting Hooper on it's length.

    Of course! His predecessors are The Birds and Creature from the Black Lagoon, and so many others! Absolutely! He is less just a shark than a movie monster!

    The first kill, Chrissy such a great scene. It’s the unseen that’s really terrifying in the ocean at night Spielberg sucks you right in from that moment. 5 minutes on screen and goes down in history as one of the most, if not the most terrifying in movie history. So yes. 🦈😱

    Definitely! When a Movie as Iconic and as Popular as Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolfman OR JAWS becomes a film that is now a part of History in Pop Culture, there is no longer any dispute that JAWS is right up there with the Classic Movie Monsters.

    Jaws is the definition of sea monster since it is not your typical shark. I agree that Bruce is a classic movie monster.

    The perfect woman! 😁. If I was to make a fifth JAWS film, it would be a set in period, with a faithful retelling of the book. I can recommend 'The Pike" by Cliff Twemlow for a good read. I'd love to see it made into a film. Several attempts were made, but didn't come to fruition.

    22 minute mark. I like how the aussies, and other creatives from outside of north america, make their versions of 'Shark!'.
    'There is something in the water' (movie) does come with lessons on how not to die in the water.
    Last Breathe will be out soon.
    there have been a load of Shark content over the years.
    not just the 'Deep Blue Sea' franchise, but also 'Open Water' has a franchise.
    47 meters down, is two movies. The Reef (two of them)
    then u get handed out movies like: shark bait; great white; the requin, 'Blood in the water (british Jaws meets SAW)';
    plus there has been: the black demon; the Meg movies; shark killer;
    The Shallows is a Great movie.

    Yes. The shark in JAWS is not a normal shark. No shark would do the things that shark did. It is a sentient force at war with Amity.

    14 minute mark. JAWS lasts due to it being a Great Made Film. the Music alone scores an audience. John W is one of the greatest artists of all time, of all human history. throw in some good actors, most well received, and Story matters.
    cutting out the story of the Mob, the sex between Hooper and mrs Brody, helps make it a movie all swimming types can Feel as if they too might meet a shark. John Williams has added more eyes, not just ears, to so many Opuses.

    29 minute mark. I like her idea. for JAWS 6, the omen. man makes shark. i like her idea. wonder who would be cast as the Inventor.
    would they have to cast a female as the lead? i think the general audience would want a man/boy of creative wonder be the inventor of the Shark - that kills only certain people, blood types. the previous works have included mostly real sharks, some being converted or controlled.
    The USA defense dept would fund a shark that will swim along side their ships - and protect any sailor that falls off, during battle or not.
    dolphins are great, but they r not as predatorial as a shark. a shark could help save swimming sailors from other sharks.
    What IF? the USS Indianapolis' Fate brought money into R&D, loads of it, that meant to make sharks, that would save swimming sailors?
    myop with the back story of the USS Indianapolis, and there being money for such R&D (since the end of ww2), IT might well make enough sense to a Producer. and then the current day, it took 80 yrs since D-Day, but the navy finally has a shark (mechanical) that will swim along side the ships, and protect any fallen sailors
    Heck, the sharks can be tested saving fallen pilots - into the water. the pilots float and could be saved by one of the M sharks. and the shark can then Pull that sailor from the crash set (in the sea/ocean) and back to the closest ship.
    yeah, the more i 'Ponder' (word from the movie, 'Gross Point Blank'), the more i Like her idea for a JAWS movie.
    it ties to the USS I's story, which puts it into the Jaws cannon. without Jaws, no body would have known about what happened to the men of the USS Indianapolis.
    I prefer JAWS 5 be about the landsharks on Amity Island/keep the beaches open. then drop this JAWS 6 idea. reboot. / spin off the stories from the speeches from JAWS. 'that is a 20 footer'. "twenty-five. 3 tons of him' //
