- Its none other than Terry Mc Entee (Dublin City University) v Amat Jobe (Top Yard).
Having boxed each other at the Manchester box cup final a few weeks ago, Terry and Amat do battle again for Gold at 71kg to round up the action in Group C.
With 86 wins, 19 losses, Terry the far more experienced of the two boxers and marking an incredible comeback after 18 months away from the sport by winning Porto Box Cup, The Montana Belt Box Cup in Paris and The Manchester Box Cup within 6 weeks of each other with 7 wins across 3 tournaments coming into this competitions.
Mc Entee won his first Haringey Gold at 60kg in 2018, 2nd Gold at 64kg in 2019 and his 3rd Gold at 71kg in 2022.
Amat went into this with an emphatic KO over 2 x London Champion Tyrese Yaseen Ramsey of Islington and stopping last year's Gold medalist Antonio Brien Dobson of Trentside by RSC.

We got alot of 71kg and 75kg seniors at our gym so some more of that weight would be good great content thanks
There were 5 groups for make snr 71kg so no surprise i caught a lot of 71 boys.
I’ll do some group A and B - Have more of group A with Lewis Lawton winning it

Yeah credit to Amat he came out strong and kept trying till the end. Some beautiful boxing by Terry. I particularly like the way he lands his hooks to the body whilst getting out of harms way.

That was a hard group. Yaseen 2x London Elite Champ, Amat 31 bouts and NABGC and Dev winner, Antonio, regional anc Haringey champ and Terry over 100 bouts and too many accolades for me to remember. Competing with them is mxing it up with some of the best!

There's some 60kg in the next one before a more comprehensive 60kg group episode, but I'm waiting on a boxer for some info before I can get to work on that. It'll be worth the wait though!
When l was boxing wouldnt of got a standing 8 count for that
For a senior elite that you
could argue that it was a bit of a soft count but the ref will always put the boxer’s safety first and you can’t argue with that. Sometimes they are way too soft though I agree.
