@@dinh71 i bought this katana machete lol it just arrived yesterday. i must not have been paying attention to the size of it because its way bigger than i thought it would be. but it feels solid and i have a lot of brush and crap around my property so im going to put it to work. the covering the handle with something different sounds like a good idea though. the default one is pretty rough.
Inner tube around the grip. Makes a huge difference. Very grippy, even when wet. Also gets rid of the sandpaper feel. Durable too. Lasted years so far.
Right away, I took a dremel grinder to the handle on my blade. It’s an excellent machete with great reach; and woe to any zombie that pops out of the brambles!
I legit have been looking at getting this since I need something to cut the trash trees out of my back yard (and I have become a katana nerd). Those mods are very easy and will come in handy!

I have this katana/machete , it was a impulse buy. Its ok, just that it can really fk up your wrist if your not swinging it correctly. I suggest learn how to swing a katana with two hand before you even use it one handed, take it from someone who messed up their wrist just fking around with it.

I use Plumbers Rescue Tape. The stuff you wrap around leaking pipes. Works great for knife or machete grips.

I sharpened mine with an edge pro professional. It scores around 100 on a BESS tester with 20 dps edge bevels.
