Unable to go this year due to an illness in my family; but having been to Copenhagen several times you are making my eyes mist for Denmark at Christmas.
Hello! This was before or after Christmas? I'm planning to travel to the Scandinavian this Christmas but was told that it's quiet in Copenhagen on the eve and on Christmas Day itself.
This is before Christmas 🎄 it was early December, but it's such an amazing Christmas city! Make sure to subscribe & I have lots of videos on Christmas Markets 🎄 😊 & more coming this year!
@orhtrz so every city is different. I believe that Copenhagen starts around black Friday & it can get pretty cold there, btwn the wind & b/c it's on the water, so it gets damp. I've been twice there for the Christmas Markets, the first time was a bit more mild than last year. But thermals are a good idea to wear, and your 10 yr old will love it! If you are heading to other markets you should check the dates, b/c I know one of the markets I want to see this yr doesn't open until Dec 8th...
We will be in the other part of Denmark this Christmas. We were looking at going to markets in Germany, Vienna or Poland, but your video convinced to just go to Copenhagen instead. We really enjoyed your video. The only thing we cringed at was your pronunciations. At least you finally got hygge correct.
@byfilipa9549 Hi 👋 , sorry I was traveling. Just know the location is great, but we never slept because it was so noisy...that's why it isn't listed, b/c I wouldn't recommend. www.airbnb.com/rooms/19772795?viralityEntryPoint=1&s=76
@@byfilipa9549or just find a place outside the city center, that’s more affordable prices. We have stayed at a hotel in Amager in Copenhagen and the just taken the Metro into the city.
@@hollycaputowanderlust Greetings from a local 😀! Tip to your other followers 😁! Everything is basically shut down from the 23-27th. December. If your here for the X-mas markets, I recommend the first two weeks of December. Start at Nyhavn (pronounced "Newhown" 😁) and work your way up towards Tivoli Gardens. There are several X-mas markets from Nyhavn to Tivoli. Depending on how long your here for, I recommend the "Copenhagen Discovery Card". It gives U free public transportation, access to over 80 museums and entertainment spots (Tivoli Gardens among them) and a free Canal tour (from "Gammel Strand" - Not Nyhavn) + Hop on - Hop off tour buses. No! I Don't work for the City or any of the above! I just loved your Vlog and would like others to come visit also. We like North American Tourists 😁 ! There mostly well behaved and nice people. Denmark is expensive, but U don't need to tip, since Servers make a decent living here. If U wanna tip regardless, round up or give 4-5%. Know that if your eating out, you won't get the check, before U ask for it! Also! The Servers won't "hover" around U, as U may be used to from home! Need contact! Get eye contact and raise a finger. Not offensive here!
Amazing!! Having lived just outside the city for many years, but never really digged into the Christmas market in that way. Keep it up 🎅👌
Thank you ❤️ please subscribe 🙏 😊 lots more Christmas Markets coming!
