exactly... Claudio Sanchez is one of the greatest song writers of our time.. i mean the expressions he puts on peoples faces.. its amazing.. i saw him at NeverEnder tour.... he was so good at what he did... LA tour was the best in my eyes... THis is about my favorite song to listen to over and over again..
I dont know about you guys but i think that sound the camera makes is creepy and fits in with the song. or maybe its about to blow up because it is witnessing epicness!
It's not beyond you... You played this song at this time so the world could be blessed with this version. No doubt in my mind cuz this is the shit coming from a fan of 20 years
Every time I watch this, I am more amazed by his acoustic skills. He does sounds on that guitar that are so epic to the song. He adds notes between the normal notes that give the guitar a "twang" sound. And then he goes and does that part near 4:10! How?! Claudio is so damn talented.
I'm really digging the lyrics he has toward the end in this one. I mean, I love the album version, but I love even more getting to hear a different version of it, at least coming from Claudio himself.
@DamonHoward-1983 it's something like "I beg whoever did this no more, I'm tired and I'm wondering what you earned. I'm coming through the floor." This has been something I've tried to figure out for almost two decades now haha. Keep in mind this was a rough draft of The Crowing at the time it was played, and he coulda just been saying some random stuff to fill space. The second time is even more confusing haha. Think the second one starts "I plan whoever did this will know, I'm tired and im wondering what you hold. I'll run through the door." or something like that.
ahhhhh my favourite song ever in acoustic^^ cant wait to see these guys again they are amazing live best show ive ever been to hands down. this song in acoustic is just amazing i love claudio haha. jake(one among the fence)
i am a heed fanboy, and i must tell you, even if i wasnt! everything from the composure to the performance is A+++ lol. Thats why i love coheed, Claudio for president!!
Well, no, the song was never called "Watch Over Me". Early members of the Coheed message board dubbed it that after this was recorded and we got a hold of it (I hosted the video as soon as it was released, and am responsible many people even getting a copy of the video). We asked Claudio what it was called and he said it was still untitled. So while this song is known among many old school fans as "Watch Over Me", it was never officially the name of the track.
@SosukeAizen5 thats because this version is kind of a demo. this was recorded before they released In keeping secrets of silent earth 3. Also its not uncommon for artists to slightly alter a song during live performances
They both just get creative flows and when they find a riff that sounds good, they use it. Whether it be Claudio using Travis' riff or vice versa. I'm almost certain that Claudio is the creative element behind most of it though.
It is a shame his range isn't what it used to be, I would have really liked to hear this song live in concert before he started singing a half step down... Never the less, this is the best band of all time and always will be!
Surprised no one's replied to you in a whole year. This video surfaced several months before the IKSSE:3 came out. It was likely a demo version, changes were made.
@Zebrahead519 Not trying to start an argument here, but the Lateralus album by Tool was pretty progressive and it was released before IKSOSE (of course, all of Tool from Aenima onward is pretty progressive, but definitely different than Coheed.). That said, In keeping Secrets isone of my all-time favorites.
this must be like the original version of the song before the Crowing song on In Keeping Secrets - they lyrics are different mainly at the end bit around 6:32 onward
hah, did you hear the 2nd change to the 3rd..or even the 3rd change to the 4th? they experiment so much with each album that they almost get a new style of music for each album. I love it tho, keeps it freash, tho i hope they revisit their roots for the prequel..
i can take a guess, bye measuring the length of his hair now, and by hm saying this is on our new record, this was around late 2002 or anywhere in 2003.
no im not trying to quote it... if i was id have parenthesis.... trust me i know how all his songs go by heart....... every single song hes ever written trust me....
This is beautiful. I mean this is music at it's finest. It sucks today most music seems emotionless because bands are afraid of being called "emo" by the insensitive retards who think they are so tough. Fuck labels, music is meant to express emotions. This is what I love about coheed and cambria they don't seem to be afraid to explore different sounds. This song was great.
his stories are still in the music but it's just not as noticeable if you ever watched the Neverender bonus content he even says Justice in Murder is the hardest song to play for him because of the memories it was based on all of their albums had some poppish songs but that's what receives air time. you can't expect the apollo's or end complete's to be on the radio now can you
@ecwork09 They are pretty much the same just this one verse is completely different. He says " he's coming through the floor" that part and what follows it
Anyone know what kind of guitar that is, I know its a Martin... i want the same one because yeah, i'm a tool, but been a fan since sstb days and always wanted that guitar ever since seeing this video.
@SosukeAizen5 idk for a fact but i think they are pretty much the same. Just look the lyrics up online and use that as a guide line to figure out this versions lyrics.
does anyone happen to know what lyrics he sings here towards the end? i cant quite make them out....also if anyone knows whether he just changed the lyrics up a little bit like he normally does live or if this is a demo version that would be sweet......im guessin its a demo since he said its gonna come out on the "new" album but still....
It seems pretty old. His hair is shorter and his voice sounds less forced. He is still just as amazing, though, so on a scale of amazing-ness, it would be impossible to tell how old this video is.
Claudio changes the lyrics around 6:30-ish... He doesn't say "I'll bless the hour that holds your fall, I will kill you all"... etc. What is hey saying? I'm curious
nono, There will be one more album, which will be the prequel to SSTB. Then the -story- of Coheed and Cambria will be over, but they will still continue to make music.
@mambaKB24mvp i know, i hate that! i have showed Coheed to so many of my friends...and the first thing they notice is his voice, which i think is unique and awesome, but they completely overlook all the musical talent RIGHT there =/
I Like How It's A Demo And Not The Song Even Though There Both Awesome, I Just Like More How He Changes The Word, It Would Have Been Awesome To Be There....
I think maybe he did quit smoking. I'm pretty sure he quit around the time they were touring for Good Apollo, but started again when they were writing and recording No World, but the only time I saw him smoking on the Neverender dvd's was a cigar at Travis' party, so maybe he at least cut back. I could be wrong though. If he hasn't, I agree. His voice has already gotten a lot lower over the years. I don't want to see him ruin it. No, I don't have a life, in case you were wondering.
The "Dear Ambellina.." part always give me goosebumps
ive been watching this for years. Its still soooooo good.
I'm so glad it's on youtube, i remember getting it from napster or limewire way back in the day lol
I still say this is greatest song from Coheed. It has a little bit of just about everything and it's just perfectly paced.
exactly... Claudio Sanchez is one of the greatest song writers of our time.. i mean the expressions he puts on peoples faces.. its amazing.. i saw him at NeverEnder tour.... he was so good at what he did... LA tour was the best in my eyes... THis is about my favorite song to listen to over and over again..
if it was not recorded, no one will believe this exist. out of this world guitar skills, voice and pure talent. just visiting. from 2020
I dont know about you guys but i think that sound the camera makes is creepy and fits in with the song. or maybe its about to blow up because it is witnessing epicness!
The different lyrics in the breakdown have been stuck in my head for days now! Love it!
does anybody else get goosebumps when Claudio screams towards the end?
It's not beyond you... You played this song at this time so the world could be blessed with this version. No doubt in my mind cuz this is the shit coming from a fan of 20 years
why is this the hardest song to play and sing at the same time? damn you claudio for being too good at music....
In keeping secrets is my favorite because it's a perfect mix of sstb and everything after secrets.
And yet every song has a special feel only Coheed makes.
Every time I watch this, I am more amazed by his acoustic skills. He does sounds on that guitar that are so epic to the song. He adds notes between the normal notes that give the guitar a "twang" sound. And then he goes and does that part near 4:10! How?! Claudio is so damn talented.
LOVE HOW HE CHANGES THE SONG!!!!!!!!!
Claudio is the man..
I'm really digging the lyrics he has toward the end in this one. I mean, I love the album version, but I love even more getting to hear a different version of it, at least coming from Claudio himself.
Yea I can’t quite make it out but “I’m tired…” is a great line 🎶🎵
@DamonHoward-1983 it's something like "I beg whoever did this no more, I'm tired and I'm wondering what you earned. I'm coming through the floor."
This has been something I've tried to figure out for almost two decades now haha. Think the second one starts "I plan whoever did this will know, I'm tired and im wondering what you hold. I'll run through the door." or something like that.
OMG....This voice... How I miss it :(
ahhhhh my favourite song ever in acoustic^^
cant wait to see these guys again they are amazing live best show ive ever been to hands down.
this song in acoustic is just amazing i love claudio haha.
jake(one among the fence)
This is so good it gives me chills
the left hand is alien!!!
muscle mass
i am a heed fanboy, and i must tell you, even if i wasnt! everything from the composure to the performance is A+++ lol. Thats why i love coheed, Claudio for president!!
Im tired and the thoughts of what you learned, Im coming through the floorrr!!!!
Surprised he didn't snap that guitar into pieces he's playing so furiously. Awesome.
But, I was talking about on a scale of awesome-ness. He is, will be, and has always been, amazing.
Omg 6:00 it gets so good.. my god Claudio will save us all.... The prise wishes us too watch over me...
oh thank god your camera caught the audio allright.
i saw the shaking and was like "this is gonna suck"
C&C are brilliant.
7:01
CHILLS. EVERYWHERE.
@SosukeAizen5 thats because this version is kind of a demo. this was recorded before they released In keeping secrets of silent earth 3. Also its not uncommon for artists to slightly alter a song during live performances
My favorite song by them
not only words but how he plays is different too
this song jams acoustic style
I know for a fact that this is at LEAST 4 years old.. I think he smokes but he is still a living legend
hes so goddamn good
I wish they would play Amway in Orlando.
No one ever comes to the Daytona beach area, they all go to Jacksonville .
Damn good!
john mayer and elliiott smich were definitely legends in the game. Big ups to elliott smith...
@21rush12 yea!! also my fav record...
They both just get creative flows and when they find a riff that sounds good, they use it. Whether it be Claudio using Travis' riff or vice versa. I'm almost certain that Claudio is the creative element behind most of it though.
I like the guy thats pocket drumming in the background! haha
that run at 4:03 is SICK
goosebumps
this vid is so amazing :)
please god (claudio), make an acoustic coheed album
u were my favorite
the camera frequencies are fitting in the blank spaces
a monster !!!!
It is a shame his range isn't what it used to be, I would have really liked to hear this song live in concert before he started singing a half step down... Never the less, this is the best band of all time and always will be!
I have this exact audio on my ipod! :D
Interesting lyrical changes in this. I suppose as the artist, he has free reign, but I find the changes intriguing.
Surprised no one's replied to you in a whole year. This video surfaced several months before the IKSSE:3 came out. It was likely a demo version, changes were made.
The only song (to my knowledge) off the whole album that is played in dropped D is 21:13, everything else is standard.
@Apocol0id Dude me too. First I heard was A Favor House Atlantic and I was like wtf is this. Then I heard Good Apollo and it just grew me.
@Zebrahead519 Not trying to start an argument here, but the Lateralus album by Tool was pretty progressive and it was released before IKSOSE (of course, all of Tool from Aenima onward is pretty progressive, but definitely different than Coheed.). this must be like the original version of the song before the Crowing song on In Keeping Secrets - they lyrics are different mainly at the end bit around 6:32 onward
He rhymes something about coming though a floor and a door, I don't know why he changed it. I loved those lyrics in the original.
ohh, hiss voice *hmmmm*
in luvv♥
XDD
@Guyverxero117 actualy this is an earlier version of the song. so he changed the words after this... i think
amazing acoustic would love ta see a peroper music video of the acoustic version no offence quality as good as can be.. but you know haha
hah, did you hear the 2nd change to the 3rd..or even the 3rd change to the 4th? they experiment so much with each album that they almost get a new style of music for each album. I love it tho, keeps it freash, tho i hope they revisit their roots for the prequel..
@ecwork09 So yes that brings me back to my question. What are the lyrics to this version to the song?
@japhyryder1205 but the lyrics on here are different from his final version.
i can take a guess, bye measuring the length of his hair now, and by hm saying this is on our new record, this was around late 2002 or anywhere in 2003.
no im not trying to quote it... if i was id have parenthesis.... trust me i know how all his songs go by heart....... every single song hes ever written trust me....

A lot of the words in this version are different from the current studio and live version. I wonder how old this is?
2020 yall?
Good only one person who has watched this is turd and dislikes it. This is LOVELY!!
@ecwork09 They are pretty much the same just this one verse is completely different. He says " he's coming through the floor" that part and what follows it
Claudio...you always rock that shit, acoustic or electric you make the crowd your bitch i wish to meet you soon!
Anyone know what kind of guitar that is, I know its a Martin...
i want the same one because yeah, i'm a tool, but been a fan since sstb days and always wanted that guitar ever since seeing this video.
@ajelizalde I'm pretty sure that wouldn't of stopped Claudio and his story.
@SosukeAizen5 idk for a fact but i think they are pretty much the same. Just look the lyrics up online and use that as a guide line to figure out this versions lyrics.
Does anyone know what the lyrics are he sings at the end of this? They're different than the version on IKSS:3.
does anyone happen to know what lyrics he sings here towards the end? i cant quite make them out....also if anyone knows whether he just changed the lyrics up a little bit like he normally does live or if this is a demo version that would be sweet......im guessin its a demo since he said its gonna come out on the "new" album but still....

i know that much, but how does that tie into the amory wars?
Hey, bro! Nice! Thanks for this one. But where is the Time Consumer Acoustic video? Do you have any idea where they put? Thanks again!
isn't my brother's blood machine by claudio as prize fighter inferno the prequel???
Claudio changes the lyrics around 6:30-ish... He doesn't say "I'll bless the hour that holds your fall, I will kill you all"... etc.
What is hey saying? I'm curious
claudio always changes the lyrics in the acoustic versions but it still sounds amazing
What are the lyrics after the first Dear Ambellinas? Starts with I bet or been...
riiiiiight
nono, There will be one more album, which will be the prequel to SSTB. Then the -story- of Coheed and Cambria will be over, but they will still continue to make music.
i want to know
is it true that C&C is only doing one more album, then going their separate ways?????
@mambaKB24mvp i know, i hate that! i have showed Coheed to so many of my friends...and the first thing they notice is his voice, which i think is unique and awesome, but they completely overlook all the musical talent RIGHT there =/
"fap fap fap" the dude just couldnt hold it in lol
He seems to be using different lyrics near the end....anyone know why?
2018 squad

240p we meet again..
I Like How It's A Demo And Not The Song Even Though There Both Awesome, I Just Like More How He Changes The Word, It Would Have Been Awesome To Be There....

No, I don't have a life, in case you were wondering.
2006.
Um, why are the lyrics different? "I will come reformed" and such I mean.
whats SSTB?
Is he playing in drop d or standard?
@toekneeism Its ok, we all do.
eh if you're trying to quote it's actually "dear ambelina... the prize wishes you to watch over me"
and I walk through the door....
anybody have lyrics for this
