      @@orvilledennis8217 Great question. We call this comping. Which allows you to record multiple takes then select the best take or parts of a take and put it together.

      @@JustDaNorm i mean like how lil wayne records sometimes I make the song while recording I used to use acid but acid gives u a track for every take I know in these more complex daws you can do it all in one track I've seen it with protools but I wasn't the one doing the recording was just in the studio so I want to do multiple takes for the lead vocals to do a complete song take after take not to pick the best one

    • @JustDaNorm
      @JustDaNorm  Рік тому +1

      Hmm. This still refers to comping. It’s what pro studios use when recording vocals whether in pro tools or ableton.
      You either want to record multiple takes on one track or you want to record multiple takes on different tracks.

      Hey Chinedu,
      I hope all is well! Thank you for taking time out to watch my video. I’m glad it was helpful. Yes mixing anything in the lower frequencies can be difficult sometimes.
      Are you singing your bass vocal parts or is it someone else? I find it better to get closer to the mic when recording bass parts to get more of a warmer tone especially for me because I am really a 2nd Tenor. So those bass notes will always be harder for me to belt. I will make some more tutorials around Acapella mixing.

      Hey Jesseboi. There are two options for this.
      First there is a on/off switch for "on stop, rewind to "now" marker. To turn this off hit on your keyboard - Control + W (Ctrl + W) After this you should be able to press the spacebar and it should stop and start wherever you left off.
      The other option is to keep the toggle switch on. If it is on you will have to press (Ctrl + Spacebar) then it will stop right at the "now" marker.

    • @JustDaNorm
      @JustDaNorm  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Koriexoxo
      There are a few different ways you can go about doing this.
      First off pleas make sure the beat you want from UA-cam is available for usage. If it’s Creative Commons then that would work.
      Sometimes producers will leave a link to download the track.
      If no link is provided but you are free to use the beat then you can either use a screen recorder or OBS (free software) to record audio from UA-cam.
      Another way is to find a free software like DVDVideosoft to download from UA-cam and convert to MP3.
      Once you have audio you can import it into Cakewalk then record your vocal tracks. For help with importing check out my video
