Gday Steve. Dunno why people don’t like the tractor episodes. It’s mucking around with old machines. Isn’t that what makes the world go around? Every episode is a memory of good and shitty days in my life. The old logic of “ I bet I can make this bloody thing run”. Always a pleasure to watch your channel 😊
Yeah Mick im not sure mate. It’s nothing about them being Australian, it’s just my channel performance I’d say. Anyone into tractors or anything related would watch regardless of where it’s made. Apart from the Mercedes video I put out a while back, all my videos perform fairly similar
Old tractor looks like it’s got its share of battle wounds throughout the years Steve! But well worth it for an old family tractor! These old pieces of equipment are close to our hearts! I have plenty of faith in your skills to get the old girl running! I buy from eBay too and refuse to buy anything from Amazon!
She’s got a busy history mate this one. She’s done a lot of work over the years. I love this old stuff mate. The old grandfather would be wrapped to see it here if he was still alive. I like EBay mate yes. Some good companies sell through there and even the Chinese stuff on there is good because it gives blokes like me an opportunity to afford parts
Good to hear her breathe again. When I was a kid there was a cartoon about a car in the junkyard and all it wanted was a new owner to give her a little care because the previous owner just abused it. So a young man purchased it cleaned it up, replaced some parts and the old girl smiled. She just wanted to be of service again and loved the new owner because he cared. I never forgot that. I'm sure the Chamberlain feels the same way. Jim BTW I think that cartoon was from the 60s
Hi Jim hope you are well mate. Yes I think I know the story. How wonderful. I’m sure most of my rescues feel the same way mate. I text you on the phone a while ago. Not sure if you got it

Great stuff Steve, a big smile & a cold lite snack sez it all, I enjoy your videos where you talk and explain while you work, keep it up and I'll keep on watching 🤠
Hi Matty. Yeah mate it was a bit nostalgic to be honest. Hopefully the old grandfather was looking down at her. It’s got a blown head gasket so I will be doing that sooner or later too mate
Talk about a trip down memory lane. As a young nineteen old in 1974 went to work for a company out bush in Central Queensland. They had one of these Chamberlains with a backhoe on it. Boss ask him if I could operate it and being young , full of confidence, I told him yea no worries. Talk about a steep learning curve. I do remember that all the pins and bushes were flogged out in it. Thanks for the video Steve 👍
Just as I remember as a kid those old chamerlains keep running .keep getting them Steve they are still around out in the paddocks. Great vid mate seeing her come back to life after all those years
Hi mate. They are great old tractors. I currently have 5 that I have saved. They are getting very expensive though. I just have to come across ones that need a lot of work or the owners don’t know the value of them. I’d love to save more of them
Another great episode Steve. Good looking battery charger, now we just need someone to invent some type of spray to coat the outside of tyres to fill the cracks and leaks and Marin these types of videos will become a lot cheaper. Keep up the great work
Good one Steve, Looks like a touch of lung disease with the old girl mate. Might be a tight valve or a head gasket perhaps. I fit electric lift pumps to my dozer and old tractors. No mucking around with mechanical lift pumps then, just flick a switch and prime them, when they start turn off the electric lift pump and let the mechanical take over. Woks for me.. It would be interesting to see if these new tractors are going to be around in 50 years like this old stuff. They don't make them like they used to any more. Cheers mate..
Hi mate. Yes it has a head gasket gone. Got the parts already but not priority at the moment. Those electric fuel pumps are good for the right application, but have had them let me down before. I guess the good brand ones are better though. I don’t think new tractors will last this long. Not sitting how this one was anyway
Another one saved and running.👍 I have to get my Grandad’s Farmall H home soon as the home farm is getting sold. But it’ll be a lot easier, only a dozen miles away, always shedded and I started it a couple of years ago.
She's a runner again! That'll be a handy machine Steve, as I'm sure your Grandad found. I see you got the A514 tractor split in the background. Tractor clutches are always such fun...er...but I guess that's why cold snacks were invented! Cheers.
Hi Jeff. She will come in handy one day mate after a bit more work. Yes the 514 is in half. I haven’t put out that episode yet because I haven’t got all the parts. I ordered a clutch part from the USA about 9 weeks ago and still waiting. I can be in America tomorrow night if I left now. I don’t understand the time frame for such a small part
@@stevesplacedownunder The cost of it, and delays these days in shipping are a real pain these days. I've had stuff stuck in customs here for weeks, in the past. Usually because there was some official idiot quibbling about the paperwork not being filled out exactly perfect. Not fun. Hope your parts arrive soon. Cheers!
Awesome stuff again Steve, I love you guys who love this old metal machinery and breath life back into them. It always amazes me how they can sit lifeless in some random paddock for years and years and yet with a little love and attention they fire up and get ready for another hard days yakka. Great stuff mate, well done.
Forty years ago i put one of those loaders on an a 6G industrial with a rotary pump. Still using it today. Sounds like it has done a head gasket. Common problem they don't like airostart. Easy fix. I have three still in service. Thanks for the video
Hi John. That’s great you still use one mate. Yes it has done a head gasket. It blows coolant straight out. I’ve already got the parts. I will be filming the job when I get to it mate so keep an eye out for that one
Just like a stubborn old bloke. Should be retired, but still keen to work. Makes ya wonder if these modern machines will still be willing to go after so many years
Considering my mate had Bosch vp44 fuel pumps on his Navara d22s bugger up 3 resulting in 3 pump out jobs. All near the 20 year old mark. On one channel about the CAT 3406E engine needing batteries in the ECM that aren't available. Plus other observations. I doubt most modern machines will be able to be revived like it.
Testimony to a great engine. Awesome! Last century when I lived at Surfers, I got to like Castlemaine 4x ... a bit like a diesel getting hooked on ether.
