Fantastic thanks, but is it jazz? No 2 5 1, no chord scale improvisation, na charges etc? Ok remember last years miles and it was jazz too? Or a Kind of instrumental world music?
Should we call this Jazz, when there's probably a lot of programming, and a rythm machine playing along, as seen around 4'48", when he's fidgeting with his drums, and obviously missing a hit on the snare, that (however) you can hear quite well?
Core jazz music. Besides from Nils on trumpet just magic, there are world class musicians on drums (two), guitar and bass. DJ strangefruit is providing some spice with the decks and knobs. Excellent. This is JAZZ!
Not so much space music. Just very good jazz music with some elements of let's say "modern" rythms close to trip hop and even drum'n bass. Some electronica elements in the background provided by DJ Strangefruit. Thanks for your comment.
@jazzBaltica thanks for posting this show, and for keeping contemporary jazz alive.
Nils Petter Molvaer... ein weiterer großartiger Künstler.❤
Love it that they’re back to this heavy vibe. Nothing quite like it. Soundscapes for the mind. Playing better than ever too!
...and Audun Erlien: the master of rhytym. Bombastic!
NPM band, always at the top of the art. Thanks for sharing JazzBaltica.
Super great. Great trumpet playing and the ballad style is so nice...
I saw Khmer performed in Bielsko Biala Poland earlier this year. Wonderful

thanks for such an important question
nu Jazz 🙂🙂
It's a bit like what would happen if Bitches Brew was produced by Brian Eno.
II V I is a sign for bad white music.
Frank Zappa
fenomenale
Great but don’t let the ”sound” rule over the music!
Are the drums and bass supposed to be so low in the mix? It's a great performance, but levels sound way off in many places
I think this is somewhat of a feature of Nils's music, not a bug. The studio records sound rather subdued too.
NPM and Steven Bernstein are the best trumpet players in the world.
and Greta.....
Coloris et gustibus non disputant
Why doesn´t he play in tune????
Just tune in, enjoy the journey..
Tune? You mean tuna…
I mean playing the correct pitch @@karayuschij

This is definitely jazz, and there are two drummers.
It is surely not Bebop, but yes it is jazz.
I just call it music.
Yes, we should 'cause Jazz means freedom 💫
