You're completely right. He played it in G after the recording release. Another version I love is the one from the Concert For Bangladesh. Very nice rendition of the original recording Dylan did on the key of D. But strangely, he never performed it ever again in that key. Whenever he played it live, he always played it in G. Here is the master from 1963.

You're completely right. He played it in G after the recording release. Another version I love is the one from the Concert For Bangladesh.
PS: it's funny how the bass player misses the notes and the tempo I think in the video you send.

@@MusikMan You may be interested to see these 2 incredible live performances that went down in history. The first is from July 26, 1963 at the Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island. On stage singing "Blowing In The Wind" with the then 22 year old Dylan, was Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Peter, Paul and Mary and the Freedom Rider Singers.

This second HISTORIC performance was a month later August 28, 1963 when Dylan performed "Only A Pawn In The Game" at the historic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 'March On Washington' where he gave his "I Have A Dream" speech.

Thanks for sharing these videos. I remember watching them a long time ago. I'm a huge Bob Dylan fan. It's amazing how he is part of history. And only two years later he was singing and playing Maggie's Farm with a Fender Telecaster haha.
