About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

"It has only one design flaw. The door... MUST BE CLOSED!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
the best line of this particular scene. It's so funny and so impactful, it sums up the main idea of the entire scene in one short line. Impactful (and relatable to in real life by the common folk) is one of Seinfeld's strong points. And it has a lot of them
I love that 😆
the best part is Kramer tries to blame Jerry 😂😂💀
In Kramer's defense, the door was always unlocked for the entirety of the show
_"La puerta está ABIERTA!"_
The first couple seasons have a real chill vibe about them.
There's no music so it's a calmer mood
Especially at 0:50 😉😂🤣
What do you expect from a show about nothing?
Yep, a lot slower paced
Kramer isn’t cartoony
1:52 It's only the third episode of the first season and they already delivered an iconic joke.
“ the door must be closed” 😂😂💀
Jerry was completely oblivious to the fact that Elaine used the toilet plunger in the kitchen sink. As a germaphobe, that should have sent him off the deep end. 😂
Settle down
I guess the fact he was robbed because of idiocy over powered that.
Its the reason why I stopped watching, inconsistancies like this are unacceptable.
@@nnaheim. haha
Ya, they're not supposed to be used in those drains 😂🤣🤣
George's genie move was great
I Dream of Georgie
@@davejay6855 With the dark, sparse hair...
Jeannie
It was funny and I interpreted the joke to sarcastically mean he teleported or something supernatural, but I didn't get the 'I dream of Jeannie reference" (I'm mid 30s). I've heard the title of the show but know nothing else about it. Was it that well known that most people would have got the reference in 1990 when this episode first aired?
@@cwjalexx It was still on TV in 1998, and Bewitched too
The strange thing the thief forget the remote 😂
I bet they were all: "s*** I forgot the remote."
He'll be back...
Maybe he did it on purpose
Love it when Kramer says WIDE OPEN great
I like Jerry’s calm nature in this scene
Lol well he makes very good money like when he shows them how much he made from one night so to him its nothing hes probably happy they didn't trash the place
I bet Newman was involved in this. This is perhaps how Jerry started hating him 😂
How dare you sully the good name of Newman!!
Nah, Newman may push the edge of the law, but he's no thief.
Oh Newman! Absolutely 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Newman low key snatched Geralds belongings and pawned them for foot powders and things of that nature
At first I thought it was Elaine, so Jerry would move out and she’d get the apartment
The thieves stole the television and the VCR, but left the remote control? Savages.
I love George's smarmy I Dream of Jeannie gesture. Even people who don't know it probably found it goofy enough to be funny.
I love how Kramer went from being Rev Jim part 2 to Mr. Giddy-up.
2:02 😂 The door 🚪 must be closed!!!!!!
Even funnier on speed of 0.25
At 0:11 in the upper left, you can see room has no ceiling.
Good catch!
Well spotted! 👍
It was stolen.
@@r-w-r 😂😂
does the whole room have any roof at all? i dont think. its a temporary set made up on stage and audience is watching live in front. i saw some shootings on tv.
"We'll let you know if we find anything." "Do you ever find anything?" "Naw" 😄 so true. To be fair, all they can really do is see if shit shows up in pawn shops, which basically never happens.
That was the second best line in this video.
Of course. Where's the profit gained from enforcing the law other than issuing fines to citizens with registered addresses?
@@johnnykeys1978Intense comment for this video but truth indeed
My friend had his expensive bike stolen when he was living in the capital (european country) and he put it out on social media and everywhere that it was missing. i didnt think he would find it, being a big city and all. but he got it back within a week lol. nice job
Kramer never even offered to pay him back!
Quite a leech, this fella. George was the real bro.
probably kept his spatula too.
@@kibbee5014 prob broke it and put it back lol
Jerry said to not pay him back before Kramer can offer.
He would if he had and money to begin with
He admitted he was human, so there's that.
The first season set was so different.
The quality is different
I guess...
Kramer can be the best worst neighbor at times 😂 😂 😂
There are times where I get so annoyed at Kramer lmao, not in an angry way or anything. Like the time Jerry got a suit from Banya and Kramer opened his big mouth about wanting nothing for an Armani suit. Or the red dot on the sweater. Lmao he is such a big baboon to quote his buddy Mickey.
@@notsocrates9529😂 😂
Worst yes. I don't know who'd use the term best for a neighbor who gets their stuff stolen.
This episode was the one that got my hooked on this show in 2005 when it first aired in India
What channel was it on. Did they telecast the entire series?
@@uk5993 yep, entire series, 7:30pm weekdays on Star World
@@vishalthefirst4140 Yeahhh...I would be snuggled up in front of the TV, elated that there's finally a sitcom with characters I can actually relate to. I love the whole pettiness of the characters 😆
@@vishalthefirst4140 Star World used to be good back then...before netflix
@@megsie1424 I was too young to understand some of the jokes that's why I re-watch it whenever it's on, always something new
“This is The Lock-picking Lawyer and what I have for you today is the Clapco D29…”
"This lock is fairly hard to pick with many false gates. Definitely something a novice could not pick. However, there is one major design flaw. The door must be closed."
@@00bond click out of one…
Oh my gosh, too funny, I've watched the Lock Picking Lawyer many times!
"It has only one design flaw...", not for the lock picking lawyer.
Have you ever given any thought to how totally unprepared for life Kramer was? A spatula? Kramer didn't have his own spatula? I had a spatula at 19 when I went off to college. In fact, I still have the same one 26 years later.
Well maybe Kramer's spatula broke and he hadn't gotten a new one yet
Any normal person has several spatulas in kitchen drawer, and in case of need, one can use a normal spoon carefully.... It is insane to go to neighbours borrowing their spatula.
Yeah, and they were having a sale at Spatula City. He should have bought a bunch of them.
Somebody give that lock to the lockpicking lawyer and we’ll see if its impenetrable
This is GOLD Jerry. GOLD.
THE DOOR MUST BE CLOSED!!!🤣🤣🤣
"I spent my money on the clapco D29 it's the most impenetrable lock on the market today!"
(I've got the SAME exact lock I bought from Walmart, I think it was under $20 bucks then. Funny thing is, they still have the same model!)
Elaine looked cuddly in that outfit.
Never knew why the show was cancelled for a bit after the pilot. The episode wasn't that bad and not everybody can get pilot great the very first time.
Studio hated it
Wow Kramer looks young.
They all do
He was
I'm sure we all looked young 30 years ago, not just Michael
reminds of the great scene in the big lebowski where the dude asks a l.a. cop, "are you going to find these guys? you got any promising leads?" cop is like "leads? yeah, i'll just check with the boys down at the crime lab, (he starts to crack up) they've got us working in shifts. (laughing hysterically)
Great stuff! 😄
For me these early episodes were the best. I just love them.
I think Jerry would have had better luck with the library cop than the police.
It would only take thirty years
Mr. Bookman 😄
@jonathancampbell7798 But Bookman would be on the case like a pitbull on a poodle 😂
0:50 it’s cold 🥶 in there!😉
The first season had the most intelligent writing.
No dude this whole show is golden. beats other sitcoms easily. top notch writing and great characters.
Nah
I am so glad that they removed these clips with Jerry's stand up. Didn't they used to clip to 'em in the middle of the show?
Then a year later “La puerta esta abierta, LA PUERTA ESTA ABIERTA!”
I’d be just happy knowing Elaine is moving in 🙂
ok creep-o
she lookin' fine here! could totally pull off the bra-less wonder thing.
@@YarrBr0 lets be honest she looks great in these early episodes.
"...It was a joke."
"...I see."
Elaine is so cute
She was and is adorable
It's easier to become a millionaire than to meet a cutie like Elaine
Mmmmm🥰

You can hear Julia laughing at the start
If this happened to me I would never forgive Kramer
Right? Jerry is actually quite a nice and 'chill' friend.
He should of befriended him a long time ago.
You’re mean.
He found the guy later tho
I would but he'd never have free access to my place again
" I'm On The Case ". Uhhh Ohhhh... Kramer Is On The Case! Now, I Know Nothing Further Can Go Wrong.
Elaine is so pretty IMO.
They broke in my apartment yesterday and this is the first think i thought about
"...it has only one design flaw. The door...MUST BE CLOOOOSED!"
wow. kudos to the TV execs who decided not to cancel this show when they absolutely should have. that first season was rough.
The cop was in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
I think I actually saw him door-greeting at my local Walmart last weekend. 🤷♂️
his imdb is 30 years of being a bit-part cop
Yet Jerry doesn't ask Elaine why she is holding a plunger!!!!
Then you’re supposed to give the other copy to your insurance company 😊
Hilarious. How fun to see these again!
Leads? Yeah we got the guys working in shifts
0:20 The higher pitched female laugh in the next few seconds of the laugh track is 100% Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Elaine looks very petite and cute in this one
Elaine is cute
I miss them..sooo much😢😢😢
This was before George was a short, stocky, bald man. He was just short and bald here.
What about dim witted?
@@rmarantis2962 George actually didn't act dimwitted in season 1. He acted more serious and rigid.
*WIDE OPEN!!!*
Plot twist: Kramer stole his stuff and left the door open to throw the scent off his trail 😂😂
What's the deal with robbers leaving the remote behind!?
Good one
That Porsche poster in the background is worth more than the TV
Dang! *Elaine looks GREAT*
Yay Jerry got it open!
Who takes the tv without the remote
I love what the show grew into, but only true fans appreciate the first 3 seasons.. literally about nothing and everything!!
Definitely. The first 3 seasons are actually my favorite
Sometimes I just watch Seinfeld for like 3 hours straight
At least this cop was honest.
Obviously Newman had some knowledge of this..look at all the odd mis matched items in his apartment!.
I gotta say, the thinner and younger George wasn't unattractive at all. He had a chin at least.
Seriously, Seinfeld makes me wanna move to New York .
LOL, you don't want to go there now.
Maybe 30 years ago, now it’s the nightmare of nightmares.
I've been curious about "The Bold and The Beautiful". But I never get a chance to check it out
They stole Elaine bra also !
Like Jerry Seinfeld if my apartment got broken into I would miss my tv and electronics the most
The actor playing the cop also played a cop in "Higher Learning."
The moment you discover Kramer and Charlie Harper might have the same designer
"Jerry, ~I'm becoming the Monkey King again..."
2:57 📄 😂🤣
So excellent. Thank you. : )
was NYC so bad in the 90s you couldn't leave the door open inside a building, on the third floor at the end of the corridor?
Why is Elaine putting the plunger in the kitchen?
The Bold and the Beautiful
The cop's real name is Bradford English.
Neat!
Was that his real hair or a wig or hair piece?
@@icecreamcake1457 That's his real hair.
I remember him from Halloween 6 where he died in a spectacular fashion
Orginal pitch of Seinfeld was Jerry and opposite Jerry prove me wrong

they stole Elaine's bra also !😪
Man, you have to have some big kahooneys to rob an apartment. All the people milling around and neighbors just there and carrying everything out through the lobby. Seems like too high risk for little reward
Wasn't, "robbed". It was burglarized.
Jokes aside, even though the cops won't find him it does start a paper trail.
People really have to read up on the difference between a robbery and burglary.
What’s the difference
In the pilot jerry didnt even have a bedroom
Burglary. Not robbery.
I blame bold and the beautiful 😂😂🤣
The apartment was robbed a couple of hours ago and the police STILL haven't shown up.
3:17 what does it mean?
From "I dream of jeanie"
The bicycle is also gone?
