Kyo, after Surtr's HP drops to the minimum, as you know she will stay alive for some seconds and she will retreat herself automatically giving you the DP as if you manually retreated her. So you do not have to worry about retreating her manually on time like the rest of the operators for DP. You can see your DP counter sudden increase (4:53) when Surtr retreats automatically. Nice strat! Thank you!
if you wait it out, she takes longer to be re-deployed. retreating her before her auto-retreat means he can re-deploy her that many seconds faster. its not the DP, its the Re-deployment time that he's worried about :p (usually, anyway)
the DP increased because myrtle's skill was active...
@@kachosuffer7 then youre not paying attention. at 5:00 the exact moment Surtr dies, DP goes from 49 to 64. that aint from Myrtle. thats from Surtr being 'retreated' by her skill killing her.

You know you grew up as a dokutah when you can clear cm levels w/o Kyo’s guides
Yet it also took me ~4 hours with my best teams
Took me 4-6 hours
And the funny thing is, the one who finishes both of the bosses during my run is not SA or Surtr
But Ifrit S2 for the Archer and Amiya S3 for the Hammer boi
Suprisingly, I just need 5 attempt to clear this damned stage (the fact I exclude 6 tiles in normal stage seems worth the efficient for my brain work)

this guide is just "use surtr"... tbh all guides from now on will be like this which defeats whole purpose of a "guide"
Why is that a problem when Surtr is easy to borrow, and for the levels you actually need farming on, there are guides that don’t use support units
@@tntproductions1996 not really, if you have friends who ahve a surtr, it most likely wont be all of them, and even if they have her they only have 2 slots for 6*, couple that with how difficult it is to get a specific friend to show up and if you lose the stage it might get reset, then boom, you got a problem there

I just don’t know how you do it man....this was such a pain in my ass even with E2 M3 op all around the timing of everything was so hard it kicked my butt every single time !!! Your video helped me figure out an alternative strat using almost the same set up as mn-ex-8 normal but for challenge.
1. Begin the same as mn ex 8 normal but use bagpipe or another vanguard to catch the bot lane behind the X tiles. Deploy myrtle and use skill when possible. Retreat bagpipe to refund dp, deploy h.defender to catch the 2nd crab. Let the first one pass and catch with beagal. Use beagal skill when possible to reduce damage.
2. Deploy sniper to hit drone the same. Retreat to not kill crab.
3. Same setup, kill dudes with SA. Make sure to catch leak with deulist guard. Put a healer right behind to help with healing.
4. Stall as per usual.
5. Same sniper/SA/caster set up.
6. Retreat beagal and swap in bagpipe to kill crab when ready.
7. Ranged units should kill all drones. Retreat all except SA group.
8. Same as before, pop skill when enemies appear.
End is the same. You have full stuns, so you can use the same strategy as normal mode by counting stuns. Has leeway for mistiming or killing one way too soon (like i did) because of abundance of stuns. The hardest part is the beginning where dp is very tight.
I'm at least happy i modded kyo's strat, haha.

Thank you so much for this Kyo! I had to use this strat from normal to cm coz the low end squad normal won't work in my runs so I resort to this and it works. I had to tweak the last part that I didn't do the final stalling for redeploy for Surtr but instead I've straight kill them both in one go and just keep in check the archer hp and burst the hammer guy at the same time when I feel I can kill the archer one along with the hammer guy.

I don't follow this strats since I'm blessed with high end squad, but kudos and hats off to Kyostinv dedication for this. Even with my squad this stage is still quite hard.

this one can be done with shcwarz, Eyja, Ifrit and Sliverdaddy, Surtr was simply the most brain dead strat that's it.

If you guys have problem stalling the hammer guy i have a tips for you, if you have W you can use her S1 to stun him to reset the hammer guy skill, works with W S1 level 7

W S1? That skill has 20+ second cd no? Are you sure you are not talking about Weedy?

Finally got it, man this was tough. DP management is a must. Stalling really helped. Thank you Kyo, you're a lifesaver. Only failed once, which I'll take.

Projekt Red with Skill 2 works perfectly on timeline to bait the Aerial Hammer Knight.
Use Cuora to tank and fast-redeploy Red everytime that knight jumps to reset his CD, and then retreat for waiting next jump until Surtr is ready

The way I had to modify this plan to make up for my Surtr's lack of M3, lack of mats, that meant she failed to kill before she died while being attacked that means she dies before killing first wave and/or second wave was stupid but it works, because friend support is dumb and I couldn't keep refreshing for friends super maxed one...that QOL improvement needs to come early to global please.
It was even more stally of using Coura and friend's Hoshiguma to hold those spots and use Surtr from above which left one high defence enemy left which would then slowly be killed by a defender being healed that let me set up for the 2nd attack before the drones even came with 99 DP and everyone but the soon to be retreated archers either deployed where I wanted them or ready to be deployed. This fight was pain even once I reached the end since it takes so long.
Kyo's guides are godly for at least giving me the right idea of where to properly place everyone to minimise chance of failure.
Took me 4 refills and with 20 hours left before event ends. Thank you papa Kyo.

@@alexandersebela370 chapter 8 is presented with Mudrock and Rosmontis, who appeared in CN for its Half year anniversary. The game was released in January 2020 for global. Hence, its half-year anniversary will be in summer (around july) because half-year means after 6 months. Remember W release that everyone was begging to come in Xmas. And it came beginning of January which is the anniversary for EN. Hence, we won't see Mudrock, Rosmo, and chapter 8 until summer. In the meantime, expect CC3, re-runs or future banners like the surprise Suzuran banner we got out of the blue last year.
Thanks for this strat. I kept tweaking my own and others I found but couldn't get any to stick just right. I loved this event but dang was it tough to beat this last one.
I saw a crazy video by Khron of them doing this with only 2 units, the catch being they're maxed-out lv90 SA and Surtr. Not exactly common fare. But I have a maxed out Surtr and although my SA isn't close to maxed, I found one that was in support. But I wasn't confident with my timing so I decided to kind of hybrid both your strategies. That actually caused a lot to go wrong.

woah, thanks for this guide Kyo. luckily i have friend that has surtr support. i got at least 10 tries before i beat the stage. the trickest part is the surtr vs hammer part..the burst healing really helps maintain hp of surtr..if you dont heal surtr she will not stay longer in the field and easily retreated (one of my concern) and the other is the alignment of 2..have at least a stun at the end, if the other one boss survive the other one rampage and hard to kill..really need a proper timing.

Notes : If you're using Elysium, Your Courier will probably die, plus you might not have enough DP to deploy Cuora to block first wave of enemies. Myrtle has a passive skill which regenerate your Vanguard HP as long as Myrtle is in the Battlefield.

Struggled doing this on normal yet alone challenging but this one actually got me through both. The stall tactic at the end was very forgiving even for my shitty arse though I feel *really* bad for my girls.... (I used Zima instead of Courier for the increased DP gain so it ended up as an all female squad).
I did find that Surtr E2lvl25 S3Lvl7 required fairly tight timing to ensure the enemies you needed dead actually died (the 4 red dudes, 2 stick men then the 2 knobheads). Too early and she dies before they do thus bork the entire run.

Strat hella good as always. Brought Projekt Red with me with her S2 M3. It helped with stalling the hammer dude. Just make sure the defender is tanky and have Red timed well (Just on another note I brought SilverAsh as well, and Red is Pot 6).
