@@thaimcgrathmusic Really I mean what I said. I just can do a list of everything that is cool in this:
1: Hollow knight's music are already bangers on their own so mixing them with such skill can only make another banger.
2: The animations are amazing, I love the differents styles which all fits the idea : "turning Hollow knight into an anime" (special mention to the one who included Quirell's teleportation skill).
3: The lyrics. Just the lyrics. They're not only amazingly written (in japanese and english), they also talk about actual lore from the game and one of my favourites characters : Pale King.
4: The voice give absolute chills.
5: The simple idea of making an anime opening for Hollow Knight. This video makes me want to watch an Hollow Knight anime for real, it makes me think of a last season opening that go deep into lore and sad parts but also act as a reminder of the past events.
To conclude, I would put this as my phone ring if it wasn't forcing me to listen it all when people call me.

Ah, this is still pretty underrated. Really loved how you messed with the grimm troupe motif. There's not a lot of renditions of that soundtrack out there that struck me as appropriate or bringing justice to the given material. You also developed each individual song really well by amplifying, transforming, and expanding-upon the different rhythms, dynamics, and emotions, and adding some choice personal touches as well. A year later, listening to this, and I realize you put a lot of effort into this one. Really enjoyed the sequence and structure of this composition. Sublime!!

As always this doesn't disappoint, the instrumentals are amazing and some of the lyrics being the thoughts of the vessel is interesting but still REALLY cool! I love how its unclear which knight the lyrics are talking about, just like how when you play the game, its unclear who the Hollow Knight is until the end. Its such a small detail but it really makes the difference, it could even be referring to them both.
Thanks! With the lyric I naturally leaned more towards the Hollow Knight since they had a more interesting story but I went back to knight for the verses to tie back in a lot of the story and game elements ^-^
Which is why the lyric contains a lot of contradictions with having no thoughts but then having thoughts of being hollow.
The ending sent chills to me the way the ending of the TV size version did, 👏👏👏.

Some tidbits I found delightfully interesting to note, mostly as a lore fan
"Father, can you see me?" - Possible reference to the cut dream nail dialogue of the Hollow Knight ("Father...?")
"Aren't I bland?" - Both a more literal tidbit in reference to the Hollow Knight, but can also be misheard as "Aren't I Blind?" (blind adoration or focus)
"Father, I'm just the way you made me." - Literal AND metaphor! Literal in the sense of vessel construction, and metaphor in the sense the Pale King *did* teach the Hollow Knight/Pure Vessel to be the way they are.
"Hollow, hello." - Can be read both as it's written (a possible greeting from either Ghost or the Pale King), or Hollow Hello, an implication of an empty pleasantry directed toward someone, either the Hollow Knight (partial pun in that case too!) or in the terms of courts and nobility, where hellos are often a hollow pleasantry.
This is how you make a community happy. It was a really nice work!

I love how your voice/lyrics is on par with the same beat as the original music. Like Greenpath's beat 2:55. I would LOVE if Hollow Knight got turned into an anime. However, that's not gonna happen since that means one ending is going to have to be canon while Team Cherry said that "Every ending is canon in its own way."

I’ve already commented on this, but I’ve listen to this so much I need to do it again. This is song is absolutely amazing and paired with the stunning visuals it’s gives me chills every time I watch and listen. This song has so much lore in it. It feels like such a good way to end the first Hollow Knights legacy and start the (hopefully soon) releasing silksong.
