Tactical assault airlifters with VTOL capabilities, or vertical take-off and landing, have been in development and successful execution for decades.
But where do systems like this begin? With test-craft like the XC-142A, utilizing a tilt wing model to see if ideas like this could be used in a larger scale by the @AFBlueTube.
