Sun Haven, My Time at Sandrock and Coral Island are one of my favorite games in the genre. 2023 was a very good year for us!

Coral Island released in such a GARBAGE state. It's full of bugs and incomplete content! It shouldn't have come out of alpha yet at all. I've been a supporter since kickstarter but I absolutely won't protect such shady practices.
@@GluckdracheSun haven was bad too, they prioritized cosmetic dlc over the main game.
Coral Island! I’ve been playing since day 1 and each new update is as wonderful a gift as Stardew Valley updates! I think it is a game changer for this genre!

I sincerly hope Roots of Pacha will be expanded upon for the next few years. It's truly cozy since you can extend the day to 20 min; i love this game so much!! I really hope Stardew's 1.6 will include that option. It's too stressful for me
Yes! Let's hope Roots of Pacha keeps updating for many years to come! I also didn't notice that Stardew doesn't have the time extension setting, hopefully it gets added too 😊
My Time At Sandrock is my favorite game for this year, I've been playing it since early access and got 400+ hours playtime.
Wow 400+ hours that's amazing! Sandrock is definitely huge, I can see how you could spend so much time getting immersed in this awesome game
A word of caution. I have 250hrs in coral island. If you really want to play it, get it on pc/ Steam. Whatever issues it has, you can probably over look them. However, there are literally game breaking bugs that have persisted through multiple hot fixes. A few top mention; deleted items, constant crashes that delete you every day's worth of progress, deleted tools with no way of replacing them, and worst of all - completely deleting your save with no way of recovering it.
The game is beautiful, simple, and fun - but this is your warning, it's not ready for general public release. Do your research and be ready to lose your game at any point, especially on xbox.
Hi! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We play on PC (Steam) and with our 400+ hours game time, we only encountered minor bugs. We are aware though that console players have a way different experience from us and do agree to always do your own research not just in buying games but in making decisions. 🙂
Harvestella, Roots of Pacha, My Time at Sandrock, Disney Dreamlight Valley and Wylde Flowers were all my favorite chill farming games this year. I get bored with straight farming/life sims and all of those has some other aspects to them that made them super enjoyable. I started Fae Farm and while I didn’t hate it and I intend to go back to it, I wasn’t super excited either. I preordered it and somehow lost my email with the preorder bonus in from Amazon so I was a little bummed about that but I think the game just wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped. It’s not bad and I’ll definitely go back to it once I hit another dry spot. I have so many amazing cozy games I’ve played and own and just haven’t played yet. The last year few years have been great for gaming. Dave the Diver, Octopath Traveler 2, Tears of the Kingdom and Hogwarts Legacy took up most of my gaming time this year lol

that overlooked mechanics was the reason i turned down the game.
oh and about Sandrock's voice acting, they're good... except the cats...
Oh no, I wasn't aware you could do that in Fae Farm 😲 And the voice acting in Sandrock is good, but I guess I didn't consider the pets 😆
@@ThalryGames yeah the cats' sounds (or should i say voices) are cringey. i mean they can put a real horse sound for the horses but can't afford a cat's sound for the cats and decided to record their meowing voices instead. 🤣

To bad sand rock is broken on switch.
It's unfortunate that the experience is different on Switch. I hope it gets better after it gets updated 😔
