there are plenty of successful kannadigas in chennai,and tamil nadu like woodlands,matsya,dasaprakash and in construction g.k shetty,dont forget rajnikath,saroja devi,rajkumar,arjun sarja all became more famous in chhai
I am from Bangalore and currently live in the US but have visited Sangeeta a couple times during my previous visits to Chennai. Very good and hygenic food and atmosphere. Kudos to the owner's perseverance. It is because of such hard work that some of us are able to easily walk in and order up and enjoy and leave. Kudos to kripal and team for this behind the scenes stories of struggles!!

Don't corrupt him. Let he be safe in Chennai. Now the trend in Bangalore city is Ambur Briyani, Talapa Briyani, Hyderabadi Briyani, Dhonne Biriyani, Hoskote Briyani ( people queue up from 5 in the morning), Ajmeer Briyani, etc. He cannot compete and survive.😊😊
Kannadigas from udupi region of Karnataka were the pioneers in these kind of veg restaurants in Tamilnadu came to tamilnadu, particularly to Madras with their grinding stone and Dosey Pan almost 70 to 80 yrs ago
The rava dose that they prepare here with pepper corns , cashew, chilly , ginger 😋 is so tasty and crunchy ....one of the best 👌 veg restaurant chain in thamizhnadu

My first job was in Chennai with office in Haddows Road. I have had lunch a thousand times in Sangeetha as it was walkable from my office and had one of the best food in the area. Never knew it was run by Kannadigas then, but really enjoyed the food and honest service. Had a lot of Tamil friends there who were absolutely amazing to me. Almost all of them are very successful today but still so down to earth. Love the culture. This was almost 25 years ago but love the fond memories.

So weirdly coincidental that this episode popped up today ..My friend just informed me that there is this very good South Indian place that has opened up in Parsippany NJ,USA. So I was planning to go there and it’s Sangeetha😁
sangeetha veg restaurant is something so close to my heart. I love every food from it. Being a vegetarian its hard to find an authentic vegetarian taste restaurant. So, i used to eat at aswins, manoj bhavan, and some outlets of A2b whenever i travel across tamilnadu. But after coming to chennai, sangeetha restaurant has been my best option. I try my best to go to sangeetha whenever i travel in city. very rarely if i know i cant reach the restaurant on time , then only i eat in other restaurants. I drive soon to reach sangeetha restaurant. Mostly i avoid hotel foods because whenever i take hotel food, next day i will some health issues or uneasiness. But i never had any issues with this restaurant. In zomato, 99 percent i have ordered only from sangeetha. During my exam days, i cannot cook. So, i simply order veg thali from sangeetha and take it. For a whole week, i took hotel food..Nothing happened.. I dont have my mom. But sangeetha food is like my mom's food.. Whenever i get sick, i order from sangeetha only.. I want to learn your recipes.. I am getting passionate on cooking because of the taste.. Kindly keep up the taste and give fresh food always ...Thank you. I am so relieved that i have a good restaurant near me.
Pl try the Akshaya restaurant at Velachery. It is simply superb for lunch and the taste is the best. Positively better than what has been described in this video

I wonder if good restaurants like Sangeetha in Chennai are really too expensive. A comparative quality restaurant chain like Chutneys in Hyderabad charges ₹₹200 for a masala dosa/rava dosa/poori, ₹140 for a plate of vada and ₹90 for a cup of coffee. Being a native of Guntur, I am delighted to find our great delicacy of Gongoora Pacchadi being served here at Sangeetha. A great video, Mr Kripal. Met Mr.Suresh in 1996 in his lone Mylapore outlet for a get together feast. He organised it so well - North Indian food and told us that he wouldnt charge for some extra people. We had 20 plus extra and he did not charge any extra amount. Sangeetha has come a long way, an identity of Chennai. Adyar outlet is a/c and charges high. But there are evening combos reasonably priced and very good. I live in Adyar area but due to crowd, small portions and poor service dont visit for lunch. All the best to him. Surprisingly the outlets that Sangeetha pulled out due to some issues are much better than Sangeetha today. Be it fóod, ambience, service or price.
Seasame seed rice a.k.a. ellu saadham on saturdays to his customers as a bonus,, The owner has Shani adipathyam in his horoscope and his jothisha has asked him to do this i guess. Easiest pariharam for his continued success in his business ❤❤
I frequently visit this hotel with my family as it is close to my place and not one time has this restaurant disappointed us. Adyar Sangeetha is must visit place for those who like good food. Sad that I missed meeting Kripal Amana again.
Please pay a visit to Astoria Veg located at OMR Thoraipakkam, Chennai and try their veg meals which was highly recommended to me by the localites. I'm from Bangalore, I stayed in Chennai due to work for 2 years and used to visit this restaurant for lunch everyday. My mouth is watering just by remembering the place🤤🤤❤❤

Mix Veg Poriyal . Time to savour the delicacies Staring of with the Chappathi along with the side dishes . Truly inspirational story of Mr Suresh 🙏Time to introduce the Soodu Saadham with Paruppu Podi , Nei & Gonkura chutney . This is a comfort food for me and I can happily savour this dish . The tartness and spicy GC made you , initially squirm a bit before going for the second bite 😀 VK rice is one of my favourites . The green tomato Kootu reminded me of my late grandmother. She was from Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu and this dish was her specialty.

Bangalore is no way better. The only consolation is most of the good restaurent in Chennai serve good tasty food which is far lagging in Bangalore city, of late. Seeing the left overs in the plates by customers.😊😊

Sangeetha Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia offers delicious food too but personally I find the prices are high
Good afternoon dear Kripal - Wow it’s vlog on Sangeeta restaurant. It’s one of my family’s go-to place for dining whenever we are in Chennai . Hello to the owner Mr Suresh 👋 Kitchen tour was , as always, brilliant. The kitchen is also very hygienic. Time to savour the Tamil Nadu meals ; So we have the following dishes; Pal Payasam ( in Adapradhaman style ) Veg Dum Biryani , Ellu Saadham , Avial , Mix Veg curry ; Green tomatoes Kai Kootu , Manathakkali Vathal K Kuzhambu , Keerai Poriyal , Panchamritam . Mix Veg Poriyal . Time to savour the delicacies Staring of with the Chappathi along with the side dishes . Truly inspirational story of Mr Suresh 🙏Time to introduce the Soodu Saadham with Paruppu Podi , Nei & Gonkura chutney . This is a comfort food for me and I can happily savour this dish . The tartness and spicy GC made you , initially squirm a bit before going for the second bite 😀 VK rice is one of my favourites . Ha ha time to cool down the heat by having a glass of Neer More 👍 I am curious to know why you didn’t have an Appalam either with the mixed rice or with the Payasam . Is it because it’s deep fried ? Avial is my Dad’s favourite ( will share the vlog with him ) . The Chinna Vengayam Paruppu Thogaiyal with rice is a super fab combo . It’s Rasam rice and it’s the most comfort food and yet super flavourful . The Pal Payasam is similar to the Ada Pradhanam . You polished off the Panchamirham . I love Mr Suresh’s passion to ensure that they always maintain high standards in terms of quality , price & service 💯💯💯 Thoroughly enjoyed this vlog as it brought back some wonderful memories that I had with my family & friends . Hi Rajesh, nice to learn this is your family's go-to veg place for dining in Chennai. Sangeetha Adyar certainly enjoys a stellar reputation for its vegetarian fare, that is prepared with a great deal of attention as I could see during my kitchen tours here. This Tamil Nadu meal was delicious to say the least. kripalji, Sangeetha at Parrys corner, you should visit. It is like a mess, which caters to the advocates and all the bank officials over there; without that mess, one could not have lunch daily; it is very cheap and more customers over there.
