That’s one of my core memories. I remember beating the CPUs on the lightning cup for the first time, and this started to play… I’m 6-7 years old, it’s a warm summer day, probably around 5pm, the sun’s setting outside my open window. I yell in triumph as I finally beat the CPUs across the finish line. Then, after I get my trophy, this plays. I’m in awe, as I had never seen anything like this. I’m filled with joy and triumph, beaming at myself until the credits end, and the words “Thanks for playing!” pop up on the screen. I slowly walk down the stairs and to my dad, exclaiming: “I did it! I beat Mario Kart!” My dad smiles and says “great job buddy!” and hugs me. To this day, I don’t think I’ve ever felt as accomplished, as triumphant, as happy as I did during that time. Sorry for the little story, but the two ending scenes and songs hold so much for me. Thanks for listening.
Even though me nor my family ever got to this credits music, it still engulfs me in nostalgia. That is the pure beauty of this track, and why I always come back it listen to it. Never stop making great music like this, Nintendo!
I remember in Lockdown, starting in February 2021, I played this game every single day for at least 3 months, I got a gold trophy on every cup and loved the game so much I would literally listen to the soundtrack while doing homework. After finishing it, I felt like the end credits scene was the most incredible reward I could’ve ever received. 3 years later and after switching from an original 2006 Wii to Dolphin Emulator on my PC, Mario Kart Wii is still my favourite game of all time.
I was born in the same year when Mario Kart Wii was released, and I still managed to experience the greatness of the Wii, like Mario Galaxy and Wii Sports, but one thing I'll never forget together with the Galaxy final battle and sequence, is the Mario Kart Wii Staff Roll, at the time I didn't know how to trigger it and I thought it was random, and every time I finished a Grand Prix I hoped the staff roll would arrive. I will never be able to thank Nintendo enough for giving me this childhood. If the grammar isn't totally correct, I'm sorry, I'm Italian.
What a way to end Mario Kart Wii.... guys this game was all apart of our childhoods so listen.. your childhood only happens once, don’t let it go to waste. To anyone reading this... have a great day

I’ve been playing that game for more than 10 years and never 100% it, the only thing I had left to do was get 3 star on everything, which is gonna take months, maybe years. Half a year ago, it was DS. But now, after getting all the characters, karts and bikes, I recognize that Mario Kart Wii was my favorite all along, no nostalgia required.
This is the first MK I ever played, I was 10 (I think) when I got a Wii for my birthday with this game. I'll turn 20 next month, but I still love this game for absolutely everything, and mostly the memories I made playing it.
I'll never forget getting this game just after my birthday in September 2012. That era might be when I had the best memories of this game. Interestingly, this came out in 2008, when the Marvel Cinematic Universe began with Iron Man. Then I got this the year Avengers came out. I love how this game paralleled the MCU, and how much both sparked beloved memories.
