Bottom line is all our favs, all the greats got old and retired. Todays wrestler isn't larger than life like they used to be, or as entertaining. That is the main reason so many fans left.

You're not alone. Just so you know, RAW's ratings over the last two weeks have been the LOWEST in history. This past RAW almost hit below 2 million viewers. People are turning off the show in droves and it's for the VERY reasons you put out in this video.
I continue to watch because I'm still a WWE enthusiast (and because they garner the most views on my channel) but I completely understand why many like you have given up. When you insult your audience's intelligence long enough, people get mentally worn out. It's even worse for people like me who WANT to see them succeed but they constantly shoot themselves in the foot.
I hope you find your love for wrestling again somewhere. If it's not WWE, even better. =)

WWE would have been out of business if WCW was bought by Eric Bishoff. The loses of the Rock and Austin would have been too much for the WWE. If WCW would have been around, we would be watching a better product than WWE is producing now.
C4Zero i love Lesnar but the way they book him to only appear on certain events (i know about his contract that he has limited appearances) but they book him in a way that makes him selfish and don’t care about the company but at least put the Championship on Drew or Strowman or Rollins that makes the championship useless instead of unique and important

The ratings system is different in the modern era..with so many streaming services as competition,cable as a whole doesn't get the ratings it used to,3 mill now is what 5 mill was then,and financially wwe hit a record year,its fanbase is still strong we just stream it now on demand

It's legitimately sad that Vince McMahon has ran people like this guy away from not just WWE but wrestling entirely. Think about that next time you want to mention how much of a genius or a savvy businessman Vince is, he's the only show in town and he's shrinking rather than growing the wrestling fan base. The only reason he won the monday night wars is because he was lucky enough to be in a position where the opposition seemingly knew less about running a wrestling promotion the right way than Vince, not because Vince was so smart or great...
Now the wrestling world has changed since then and we have a possible alternative by the name of AEW. Since it’s run by Cody and the bucks I expect it to do well. Cody’s family has a history of wrestling so let’s see

I've heard so many comparisons to WCW being that this company will be funded by a super wealthy guy who will entrust others to run the promotion, as well as comparisons to WCW because the people who will be running it are active wrestlers and essentially the modern day "cliq", but their attitude towards the business, their teamwork mentality, their ability to book without bias, and the fact that they have they're finger on the pulse of what wrestling is nowadays, what people want to see, and the ability to deliver both as performers and as backstage brass makes this situation so different than WCW that the only similarities are coincidental subtleties. I think these guys are about to fix what Vince broke.

I usually like Royal Rumbles since they usually add some nice surprises.
Its cool to see old wrestlers making surprise returns. But the hype for finding out who will win is really pointless. This year Nakamura won, is he the top star now? No. Was his wrestlemania match memorable? No. 2017 randy orton won, did it elevate the companies to greater heights? No. Thats why royal rumbles are quite pointless, i guess the only exciting factor like you said is seeing legends make surprise returns.

I respect your opinion and I agree with that to an extent, however 2005 wasnt bad and it was the last year we got the late great Eddie Guerrero wrestling in wwe. After that wwe picked up Big Time with the Cm Punk pipe bomb angles and The early days of the shield and The Wyatt family were golden, the Daniel Bryan movement, 2011 through 2015 was an awesome time. Now we have gone in a reverse again. Its like its 2006 all over again lmfao.

It's like the NBA during the eighties and nineties with bird, Johnson, to Jordan, Ewing, and barkley this company had an influx of star power and Hall of famers. Same with WWE Andre, Hogan, Piper, Savage, Warrior, to Stone Cold, Micheals, Rock, and the Undertaker. Where are these personalities in the company. Why is WWe so scripted and won't allow these wrestlers to be themselves and provide some authentic spontaneous ad-libs.

I don't watch wrestling on television anymore, but I just watch old wrestling on websites. I had been watching wrestling on television since I was a toddler back in 1993 up to 2013 as a young adult for 20 years. It was a great ride, and indeed it was. But times had changed, many old school fans have stopped watching for years because it became stale and it is not what it was back then in the '90s.
basically why I have the Network.. Just so I can go back and watch older episodes.
just go the wwe network. unless you also watch other old school wrestling, then tge network is the way to go.

I feel you dude! I love wrestling and I've been a WWE fan for about twelve or thirteen years, I love it to death. When I get free time or if I'm bored, I'll throw on some wrestling, whether its new school or old school, WWE or indy wrestling. I love it a lot, but it's been hard to watch and truly enjoy WWE the way I used to. I've spent so much of my life watching WWE, it's hard for me to just stop watching it... Being extremely passionate about something hurts a lot sometimes... I wish and hope things change, it's not as fun as it used to be. Another good vid, Tyrone... Ten million subscribers!!

I stopped watching WWE 9 years ago, I'll always have a place for it in my heart, the unforgettable wrestlers that have retired, the legendary ones that have sadly deceased and the most classic moments & memories that have been written down in history.
I always think about it once or twice every single year, but yeah it's clear that media was inevitably going to evolve.

Im not saying they get a deal for sure. but the Elite are smart enough to know if they couldn't get enough financial backing and a shot at a network deal their would be no point to this promotion and would have stayed in ROH
@@tim4469 You said major tv deal, right? Brandy and Cody could have kids in middle school by the time we see that happen. With WWE being at such a low point no major network is going to want to invest in wrestling. If WWE fails on FOX it will be that much harder to get a deal.

Like I said If they weren't confident in what they could do they are smart enough they would have stayed in ROH. It doesn't need to be Fox major just major enough where most people have the channel for free. It could be a Syfy or something.

The attitude era ended after the invasion angles with WCW and ECW. The ruthless aggression era ended when they started that tvpg era bullshit and started making everything kid friendly
The Chris Benoit incident in 07 is what changed everything they got a lot of heat for that so it was the end after that the product had to change

August 1997 to November 2007 for me is the Greatest Era of Wrestling. SummerSlam 1997 to Survivor Series 2007 that’s it for me. For TNA I loved from June 2004 to January 2010
Man I stopped watching wrestling when Stone Cold & The Rock left. The Attitude Era set the bar so high, that the WWE don't know what to do next. Triple H & Stephanie don't know what they doing. Shane should had ran the company years ago. And The Rock isn't coming back. Would you if you're making $20 million a picture?
Negative....its all vince who is out of touch and he is the one who has the final say on all scripts, charactors, scripted promos, ex cetera..triple h is doing great things with nxt but he has no word in the main roster....the product will improve when vince is gone, problem is we dont know when that will be.

You know what's crazy is that I stopped watching wrestling in 2013 for that was way over a decade when the Attitude Era was over but I noticed maybe 5-10 years before I stopped watching how the quality in the product was decreasing every year. 2003 might've been the last really good year of the product but you're right though the Attitude Era and really WCW and ECW back in the 90s as well that anything below that can't live up to it. I feel like Tyrone I've become such a casual of the industry that I feel like man I used to be so loyal to wrestling watching it every single week multiple times a week that I got to admit now that I'm a casual.

I dont understand why you refuse to look into other alternatives out here because when it comes to quality entertainment in wrestling, more than a handful of them are toppling WWE. Watch some NJPW, ROH, Impact, Progress, PWG, Dragon Gate, etc and you wont be disappointed. Also not to mention the fact that Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks are in the process of starting their own promotion AND OF COURSE, there's NXT, the most superior thing goin for WWE right now.
You’d have to learn all the wrestlers and there gimmicks and back stories as well as commit all the hours back into something you’d lost love for. Hard for anyone to get back into that

After I was like 15 I couldn’t care less. I liked stone cold but even then it felt weird caring about a live fixed story. I’d rather watch something where you knew that no one was throwing punches and it was an actual competition.

Who are you referring to in the 95%? To wrestle, to wrestle in wwe especially, you have to have some sort of training. You dont get to that elite level without some sort of training. A lot of legitimate fighters arent huge jacked guys

WWE killed my love for wrestling. I barely watch anymore all I usually tune into is NXT takeover. I’ll watch SmackDown here and there but half the time I end up changing the channel. It’s just not the same anymore.

I gave up on wrestling about 2005. I’d watched it my whole life. As fans, we needed to be kept in the dark about things. We started to know too much behind the scenes stuff. It just became silly. I knew it didn’t have long when WCW went away. The competition was good. At least it kept me entertained in the 80’s and 90’s as a kid.

Cause WWE is whack. No competition and I don't count TNA. The last great era was the Attitude Era not this pussified PG Era with predictable matches and storylines. I loved wrestling as a kid, from 1989-1998. Then i just took slight interest. But i completely switched off 15 years ago. If I'm gonna watch wrestling it will be from the late 80s and 90s era and reminising about the good times.
As a WWE fan, it's sad when I hear when people decide to give up on the product but as of late I totally understand why.
There have been so many people on the roster that the company doesn't push when it's clear as day that this is the person who the fans are invested in.
I'm still watching WWE simply because I still find some enjoyment in it, I don't get excited quite like I use to but I enjoy the small bits that I can out if the product.

Funny because I stopped watching around the time John Cena was introduced. It went downhill for me once The Rock and Stone Cold left.
CM Punk gave it some hope, then it was diminished.
I agree, I found myself the last year that I have been fast forwarding through my recordings because I was just bored. Within the last month or so I deleted both Raw & Smack Down as scheduled recordings. I'm not sure what they could do to get me interested enough to care again.
Fans just can’t be honest. No matter what they do, if they don’t make big new stars who are mainstream nobody watches
Real reason: With Cena being less than part timer, Tyrone lost his favorite wrestler and therefore lost interest.

Haven't watch anything WWE related as a full time fan since 2013. I'll come back here and there to watch a few shows like a WrestleMania or Summerslam..... that is if I care enough just to see what's going on.

are never going to change because their focus is on deals and contracts, not on improving their product or giving people their money's worth. He also can't help trolling

- I think you should start watching All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
- They already got people like Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho, Pac (Neville), Adam page and many others. Kenny Omega will definitely go to AEW. I am sure others will follow such as Finn Balor, Dolph Ziggler, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
- I know you will like AEW. They are bringing hope to wrestling again and fixing WWE's mess.
Ironically, I've just come home from an indie show (I live in London). It was awesome! I agree with you Tyrone... As an art form, Pro Wrestling is great fun to watch. But I haven't watched WWE or NXT in (at least) a year now.

You know what's crazy I think most of us in the comment section or who watched this video feels just like Tyrone where we have to admit we're casuals now like I literally haven't watched since 2013 after spending two decades watching it consistently every week and multiple times a week. I know the change in the product from the Attitude Era and NWO days in WCW in the 90s is what drove me away but sometimes I wonder if I'd still be watching it today 6 years later if it was still like it was back in 2003 which to me was the last bast year for wrestling. I know my lifestyle has changed so much but I've actually started thinking lately about getting back into TNA at least but I just don't know. I'm hoping wrestling can get back to the level of what it used to be because I would love to invest myself back into it someday.
im 17 i started watching wwe when i was 1 i make characters from tv shows and and other games and what in the games my passion for it is deep i understand why people are dipping but i don't see myself growing out of it tbh but i get where your coming from tyrone big ups.
