- Israel Defense Forces has confirmed it carried out an airstrike on Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, which has reportedly killed dozens.
IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said the commander of Hamas's Central Jabaliya Battalion, Ibrahim Biari, was killed in the strike.
IDF claimed Biari was“the main leader of combat” since Israel's entrance of the forces into northern Gaza and was one of the leaders of the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.
The IDF spokesperson added that during the strike on Biari “many other terrorists were killed”.
Mr Hagari said targeting the budlings where Biari was also led to the collapse of underground infrastructure.
Could that 'unfinished sentence' be: Hamas continues to use civilian populations as human shields?

Every casualty is reported on as being civilian deaths despite there obviously being thousands of militant Hamas terrorists actively fighting since they went on attack on 7 October. Why are Palestinians always in a refugee camp even in Palestinian? At some point, hopefully in the first year, people have to be good citizens of the new country they are a part of. This is how immigration has been done for thousands of years. Can the Jews reclaim ownership to their land that they were forced to flee in Arab countries?
They are hoping for the day when they can move back to where their families once lived. In many cases, that means Arab villages that no longer exist that lay within what is now Israel. Many are actually 1948 refugees' descendants. I don't know how many of the original refugees are even still there. It wouldn't be many.
