Before gravel and the concept of off-road racing on road bikes, there was Paris-Roubaix. Created in 1896 by Théodore Vienne, l’enfer du Nord is infamously the hardest one-day parcours in professional bike racing. An epic distance, cobblestone sectors or pavé, headwinds and mud - a great testing ground for the Café du Cycliste Gravel Team to recce as they prepare for the new season.
