I just bought one of these! Pros: •VERY.... and I mean VERY fun blowback gun •Mostly aluminum construction •Realistically heavy (I love the look and feel of this gun!) Cons: •Not accurate (due to the barrel shroud being easily rattled and a TERRIBLE sight picture) •Not that powerful (although there was no claim that it was) •Extra magazines are ~$40 •Small set screw for barrel shroud easily comes loose, and no included screwdriver to fix it •Eats through CO2 like CRAZY Final thoughts: I’m having a lot of fun with it and wouldn’t dream of returning it. However, I won’t be purchasing another one. If you’re considering buying one of these for yourself, keep in mind it wasn’t designed to be a cost-efficient accurate plinker or a pest control solution.
I totally agree with you. The Mauser is a joy to look at and shoot. Some like it, others don't. For me it's the best of the best - and the only semi auto gun I have ever owned that has never misfired on a single occasion. Interesting story. Winston Churchill had one and it saved his life, when he was attacked by 7 natives in Africa. The normal pistol would have been a 6 shot Webley revolver but he was given special permission to use the Mauser. It's ironic that his life was saved by a German pistol.
I have one. Don't shoot it full auto until you run thru 2 clips at semi. If you run the first clip at full auto it will keep on firing until co2 runs out. A waste of co2. One tube co2 for 17 shots. Gets expensive
I own one of these, and while it's fun to shoot and looks good, my experience has been that it has a couple of mechanical weaknesses. First, the barrel shroud attachment is dodgy: it relies on a tiny, insufficient set screw to hold it firm amid the oscillations. The thing kept coming undone, and finally failed completely. I fixed it by drilling out the hole and using a stainless steel screw registered into a carefully-shaped nut that fits between the shroud and the actual barrel. Second: I suspect that firing it at full auto broke a couple of spring-retention parts within the sliding bolt. Umarex was real quick about getting me spares, but they sent me a kinked spring to replace a kinked spring. I found a better one from another source and now the gun works fine, but I'm cautious with it. So: buy one if you want, but be prepared to deal with repairing it.
I bought this couple of days ago. German shop so only semi because of the no-fun laws still realy fun but 2 things i have to say: the barrel can become loose but a little tape at the base can thighten it up. And the long screw from the charging handle can come loose and “fly out”. Same tape method can fix it.
I've got one of these, and yeah they are beautifully made. Unfortunately, here in the UK we are not allowed the full auto. The sliding button N-R still moves but changes nothing. I'm curious as to what the full auto looks like when stripped. I'd like to compare them to see what's missing.
@@felixdagger549 The full automatic option in the British version is disabled before leaving the factory. It is an offence to reverse this. Nevertheless, I want to. To do this I need to see what the full auto looks like inside so I know what has been removed. The button on the side still operates, pointing to semi or full N&R respectively.
Weird question probably. Is the KWC M712 magazine compatible with the magazine receiver on this gun? The two are nearly identical to each other. The only notable difference I’ve been able to see is in the feeding spring.
Where might I get hold of a UK spec version of this? I cant find it in stock anywhere. Is it EOL? Indeed, if you ever release a "DL-44" version , I would love to buy it immediately

Honest question, is the legends series of guns made under KWC and marketed by umarex? Because from what I know, there’s a non umarex Legend m712 and that just shoots semi and is a mix of polymer and metal.
Agree this is a great-looking gun. In the UK ANY auto-fire gun is illegal, including this, so it is available ONLY as a single-shot pistol. Having an auto-fire gun in the UK could land you in jail for a few years. .
I love the uk double standard where semi auto 400 fps metal BBs are absolutely fine, but if you want to just not have to pull the trigger for each shot it is completely banned. I bet if you brought this argument up to a politician though they'd have semi auto banned too. Sometimes I feel bad being a Briton.
zu Lwowitz Ever since I receive a M 712 from Umarex about 4,000 BBs ago , I was wandering about the claim of 360 FPS (on the box and everywhere ) since the couple of ‘wandering BBs at the beginning of my shooting escapades went clearly through the 1.5 inch wooden door at our bathroom . This feet couldn’t be reproduced by my other airgun SA 10 which claims a FPS of 430 - 440 . Both guns produce , at best , the same FPS -----shooting 5.4 gr steel Daisy BBs ( my SA 10 doesn’t like pellets of any kind or fashion )-----as futher velocity tests done with the same external condition ( including the time ) have shown . My contention is that FPS-----as one , if not the most , important stats for the customers-----should be taken much more seriously. The difference of almost 100 FPS shown above is clearly impossible to swallow and , thus , all reviewers ( including this one ) should start with chrono test . I believe that a lot of expensive misunderstanding could be thus avoided .

Yes it will. It helps improve accuracy in semi and full-auto mode and when your done shooting, just pull out the magazine and it fits inside the stock just fine with just a little modification with a Dremel tool or a file to make room for the selector switch. You can find replica stocks on Ebay for around $60.
There is a slot for the stock, however keep in mind the frame is not steel and the tabs are thin, so it would probably wear and potentially break when force is applied
What are you talking about, he showed all the functions, including semi-auto, the clip’s bane, it’s just full auto in slomo (Which I see as demonstrating the action better than you could see it in real time)There’s other vids too. Be grateful there’s any good in this world at all, or you’d be seeing more of the real ones in action.
You have not shown the main failing of this super fine replica. The main problem with this excellent pistol, is that it has no bolt/charge handle 'holdback' on last shot and can be fired on semi-auto and full auto with just gas because of that. It will carry on firing with no BB's in it. You might want to look at my vid @ ua-cam.com/video/xmyRWg8O_MQ/v-deo.html . It is my modified M712 which has 'holdback' and will NOT fire without BB's in it. Mine stops firing on last shot in both semi-auto and full auto. It does not waste gas and you can then get 2-3 magazines worth from one CO2 capsule. I am aware it does need quite a bit of gas to throw that bolt/charge handle back and give it a very realistic recycling speed. IT IS STILL A SUPERB REPLICA THOUGH.

does the gun keep firing when the bullets run out?
How many magazines can you use with 1 co2 tube?
On full auto you'll only get 3. So use a speed loader and have a spare mag! It should stop firing on empty.
Yes it keeps firing when empty So you need to count shots. This is the major drawback of this replica for me.
