Been living in El Salvador as an American with my wife. We spend nearly half of your monthly expenses out here in Opico!. Usually monthly we spend around 400/600 dollars depending on what we need
@@twopeopleinparadise We’re just really strict with our money but not too strict because we do spend occasionally on pupusas, clothes, etc; but we never make it a habit. A lot of it is buying fresh vegetables locally and making fresh meals, preserving water and electricity when needed, and never spend on stuff you most definitely don’t need! Our rent is 200 for a house that has a lot of space and a yard, we got really lucky with this find. The further away from cities and tourist areas you are, the cheaper prices will be. We pay around 19 dollars in water, 23 dollars in electricity and around 20 for internet each month, nothing too out of this world. Most of the time we stick to eating eggs and beans, both which are very cheap and will last you a fairly long time. As long as you know how to make them right, you’ll never get tired of it. Also taking public transportation such as buses when you need to reach a far location is a very cheap option. My wife is my love but also my financial advisor! Enjoyed your video, I am thinking about visiting to see if I want to retire there, That being said; you guy's should watch some videos on how to grow food, might save you $300 a month, you can use to buy some property there.
What parts of el salvador grow coffee and vanilla ? Would anyone know ?
Love ❤️ your videos guys!!!
Since your apartment is an open concept, what do you do for mosquitos? I don't like using bug repellent, what are some things you use?
Coils and citronella candels. They Don't bother Jessica as much as they do me. I'm always getting eaten alive. 🙄
@@twopeopleinparadise Thanks!
Love the flintstones intro and the play-on-words for FUD! A+ Also you two seem like really kind people, so kudos for that! 1,200/month with laundry and cleaning services?! Jeezus...I'd live like a friggin king down there! I'll have to look through your videos and hopefully find how you go about getting/spending your bitcoin down there. I know everytime I buy it there's a week or so of having it frozen from sending/cashing out/ etc. So, unless I factored that in and bought spending sats a week or so in advance?...
Thank you
Great video! 👍🏼
OH NICE NOT BAD FOR ALL THE EXPENSES 1,200.-1,300 HUNDRED A MONTH IS GOOD MY RENT IN USA 2-BEDROOM APARTMENT IS 1700.00 A MONTH THAT IS ONLY RENT NOT COUNTING THE REST AND FOOD
The intros keep getting better and better, i liked this one! 😂😂🤣🤣
First, I want to send some love from Montreal! You guys are inspiring. I was born in El Salavdor, but I've been in Canada all my life. I was wondering if you could recommend a nice place to settle (not in the city persay... Montreal is not my thing) something like where you guys are at. A place to have your own chicken, for example. 😅 Thanks for your videos. They give a true sense of reality in El salvador
Many, many people have their own chickens all over the country. We were just speaking with a couple that lives near El Zapote, on the western side of the country. They have a little homestead out there. If you'd like us to connect you, drop us a DM on Twitter!
A lot of central and South American apts/houses come fully furnished included in rent
Is this true for ES
Great video guys! I should also check how much I'm spending here 🤔
😁
Would be great to see you guys soon!
Thanks for sharing so detailed information. Regards from Miami. Be careful with autofocus on your camera. I think autofocus does not help when one is too close to the camera.
Oh yes, thank you we are aware. Problem is that the autofocus feature is enabling itself after we disable it. It's really frustrating!
I’m planning to relocate from the Bay Area California. We’re a family of four and our monthly expenses are $6700mo between mortgage, car/home insurance, car notes, utilities. We spend the most in food about $800mo. Between bad government policies, inflation, crime increase I’m done with the USA.
Nice start
