Your work is so lovely! Is this available as a pattern? Also, it would be great to know more about how you *create* and design the pattern itself. There are lots of videos about specific stitches, but I find it hard to get guidance about how to actually go about creating my own designs.
@@sarahgershone1327 Thanks so much! And no, this isn’t available as a pattern (yet! 😉). But, what a great idea about creating a tutorial of how I design my patterns! I’ve put this on my content to-do list! ☺️
Beautiful, would love some information about how many threads you use in your needle and what sort of fabric etc, I am in UK so can’t buy from your shop sorry
@@suewaddy7390 Thank you! And thanks for the input! A quick response to your question: I usually use 2 strands of DMC’s embroidery floss in a size 26 DMC tapestry needle. I work on a medium-weight cotton duck canvas fabric. I’ll keep in mind making a video that goes more in depth about the products I use!
@@susanperry4177 Pretty much…I use a technique called thread painting which incorporates several basic stitches, including the long and short stitch. ☺️
@@byaku7550 Hi! I just try to evenly disperse the amount of stitches and only layer until the base fabric isn’t visible anymore. I also try not to overlap too much in one spot. If I’m not sure if I’ve added enough in a particular spot, I hold my work up in front of my window and see if I can see any light peeking through…if there is, I’ll add a couple more stitches. Hope this helps!
This is so beautiful, thank you for the close up shots. It's wonderful to be able to see the texture of your stitches.
@@beakeeper5243 Thank you! ☺️
Beautiful!

What stitch are you using? Long and short?

Hello, how do you (you or other people seeing my comments) know when there are enough stitches so the thickness is the same everywhere ? :o
