If you had not done the multi-craftual videos I would never have realized I was interested in other fibre arts. I hope your sharing does the same thing for others in the future.
As the owner of multiple large and smaller loom and knitting machines as well as a looper, multiple sewing machines, a serger, an extensive collection of hand knitting paraphernalia, and a good stash of dyes, I guess I, too, could be considered a multicraft maker. I just like making things, be it clothing, furnishings, furniture or food. And I love all the machines and tools. Enjoy your approach and I look forward to your multi-channel approach. I hope you find enough hours in the day for it all!
I am first a sewer. And then, discovered the knitting machine. And for two years now, I spin my own yarn. And since a few days, I’m looking after a loom 😅 So, I discovered your Channel, and appreciate your knowledges! I will support you 😊 Wish you the best from France

Felicia, I agree with you 100 percent. I love all kinds of textiles and fiber arts. Now I understand why some of my subscription channels disappear at times and then reappear sometime later. It shows that makers are able to adapt and that is why fiber arts have survived through the ages!

Attempting to share these joys here and on social media has been super challenging due to exactly the reasons you speak of here. I have a rigid heddle loom and I really want to learn how to weave next. Thank you for creating such an informative channel and for helping us multicraftual makers feel like we belong. I am looking forward to learn how to weave with your videos on the SweetGeorgia Weaving channel.
@@nanachen565 thank you so much for watching and excited to hear that you’ve found the fibre arts! It’s endless and limitless, the things we can imagine and create! 🔥

Ha! I also am a weaver, knitter and seamstress. I am from the south. live in the south. It was the name Sweet Georgia that caught my attention here. And I am thinking I have heard of your yarn. I immediately went to IG and found the weaving channel. I will definitely be following all of your makes! Thank you. .
Thank you for the explanation of how UA-cam works. I have been struggling with the minutia that shows up in my feed. I will check for new content from my subscriptions from now on. As a new weaver, thanks for creating a weaving-specific channel. I will be watching.

Multicraftual is the word I didn't know I needed until you popped up in my feed this morning! I'm a crocheter - among other things - who has a bad case of knit envy. I think this video maybe showed up because I'm inching closer to (once again) beginning the process of learning to knit. Yes, that is exactly how things work for me.

I love the variety of videos you have shared. Because of you, I have tried spinning. I'm not good at it, but I am still trying. Because of you, I have tried loom knitting. I love it! Because of you, I want to try weaving, and bought a small rigid heddle loom. I love your channel, ideas, inspiration, and plethora of knowledge. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Just found your channel, and I'm inspired to learn more. I'm mainly a knitter, crocheter, and casual sewist, but I have always wanted to weave! I'll be subscribing!
Right on!! Go for it. I especially love the weaving/spinning as that's my first foray, but truly do appreciate the rest. My problem is not the content, it's simply I haven't found a way to clone myself yet. lol... Time... the golden commodity!! Perhaps this will truly be the best way as it's going to funnel the viewers into a 'stream' of continuity. Best of luck!
Started as a crocheter. Then learned knitting. Did those for years. Was introduced to a drop spindle. I now have multiple spindles and three spinning wheels. And then…I discovered weaving. Peg loom, tapestry loom, and a 6’ triangle loom. I’m recently deep in a pin loom rabbit hole. We are out here discovering and learning.
Following the new account! Brilliant idea - funny how the algorithm tries to be smart but it can’t make sense of some of the oldest crafts in the world (and the predecessor of the computer itself!) (I love idea of teaching others about weaving with knitting yarn-my friends have threatened to steal my woven blankets made of worsted weight wool!) -The Tall Weaver
Hi Felicia, This was so helpful and we agree totally about the desire to share the joy of all things fiber arts! I (Michelle) met you briefly at H&H to tell you how inspiring you are (and have been) to us over the years. Thanks for all you do!💚
This is the first time I’ve seen any of your videos! I’m a knitter and probably will not take up different fiber crafts. Nevertheless, I’d love to learn about other fiber crafts, especially spinning and dyeing so I can understand what goes into making yarn. I’m amazed by weaving and would love to learn how people make those beautiful designs.
Thank you for sharing your struggles, Felicia. Love your videos and your yarns so much. I must admit I did stop watching for a while because I am single focused with knitting. So appreciate everything you do. You are amazing!
I shall follow both channels. I don't always see the channels I subscribe to in my feed. So, I use the search bar to find the newest videos. I also subscribe to my favorites and have notifications set up so I am notified when there is a new video. Thank you for what you do!!!
Super excited for all the content on the new weaving channel. I’ve been a weaver and crocheter for many years and only recently in the last few years have (finally) learned to knit, thanks to your School. And I must say I have always watched knitting related content l, in part because I always wanted to knit, but I also always found something interesting or gained some knowledge about yarn and fibre that I could apply to my weaving practice or crochet projects. Thank you for creating such an amazing fibre arts community.
Thank you for clearly expressing your thoughts - I think that having separate channels is a wonderful idea and I'm looking forward to learning so much more from you in the future!
As a multi crafter, I appreciate your dedication to sharing all your content so thoughtfully. Even though I’m not a big weaver, I have followed your posts just to see all the lovely things you create.
As a child, my grandmother taught me embroidery. As an adult I got into a historical recreation society and learned how to tablet weave and make lucet cording, and that brought back embroidery for me, but it also led me to loom knitting, which led me to Tunisian crochet, and now I am looking at learning to knit, and also dying and making rolags. Watching your channel gives me the support and community, but most importantly it gives me confidence that being a multicraftual maker is perfectly fine. Thank you for all you and your team do!
I have enjoyed your sharing the different fiber arts techniques. I am a multicrafter and love learning as much as possible to refine my skills. Through your UA-cam channel I have learned soooo much. Thank you for continuing to want to share your fiber journey. I’ll be watching both channels.
I am multi-craftual like many on here. I spin, dye, knit, crochet, weave and felt. Heck, I’ve even shaved an alpaca and processed her wool clear thru to knitting a bag out of the yarn, which is how I know the processing work is not my thing. 😂. I’ve been in a weaving slump, so it will be nice to see your weaving videos.
I love your videos regardless what you talk about...that's the beauty of being multi-craftual. As for the knitting content, I would love to see more about steeking, double knitting and adapting patterns to fit your body.
I am not a weaver, though it's interesting to see. I have enjoyed all the fiber content. I love to knit, by hand, on a flat bed knitting machine and a sock machine. I purchased a sock machine because of you. I love to spin, I have learned a lot watching all of your content. What I love the most is your passion for all fiber arts. You always motivate me and fuel my own passion for fiber. Moving the weaving to a separate channel is a great idea. I will follow anything you do. Who knows, maybe weaving is in my future.
Felicia, you have spoken to my multicraftual heart. In so many ways. You have inspired me to move ahead with what’s been in my own head, sharing all the things, even though I’m a knitwear designer. Thank you for sharing your heart! ❤
Just followed your other channels. I am even more multicraftual than most. I knit, spin, weave, have knitting machines, though haven't used them in years (actually decades ago I used to teach machine knitting), have an ancient sock knitting machine. I also do a lot of other crafts, most to do with yarn or thread, but I also use my Cricut cutting machine to make dollhouse sized miniatures (not kid stuff, collectable things), do micro petit point, cross stitch, sew, quilt.... you name it and I likely either have done or still do.
Thank you so much for making this video. I had no idea that there was a Sweet Georgia school. I just had a quick look and I'm so impressed!!! I'll definitely be watching a bunch of those videos. There's quite a line up!
It is so good to see/find you again! I started watching your UA-cam channel in about 2019 and then in 2021 I moved to Europe and got married and somehow I lost track of you and now I know why. I always appreciate learning about a new fibre craft and you featured weaving and I loved watching the videos and dreaming of a space for a loom. I love knitting but would never want to live in a knitting only world. I am excited to learn about knitting machines now with you and the sock knitting machines. Wishing you much success.
I am mainly a hand knitter but can also crochet, machine knit and a few other things. I am intrigued with weaving so will subscribe and follow your weaving channel also. Some people are great producers but my health limitations hold me back somewhat. (Oh, and no more space for new things. ☹️) I like to learn new things anyway, just in case right? So I will continue to enjoy watching your channel(s) and your variety of endeavours. Thank you Felicia.
I was told once that "You have a powerful thirst for knowledge" Art..Flowers...Bees thats my thing. Knitting and all things wooly is an art. Art and all mediums are varied. Gardens are art. And bees? They make lovely honey and are fascinating to work with! Life is so complex. So good on you for expanding your love of art and sharing that knowledge!
I'm experiencing the same thing right now. I've been debating starting a second channel to document more crafts. After seeing your video, I might start a second channel too instead of trying to make it work on the one channel
I have my own UA-cam channel and I am even more of an extreme multicrafter. I have a pottery wheel in my living room next to my floor loom, a film darkroom in my bathroom, and shelves of stuff for metalsmithing, printmaking, painting, etc. I have videos about so many subjects. I'm an art teacher so some are for my students and some are what I'm doing for me. My channel has been growing incredibly slow. I've also felt like I can't let anything go. I've thought about having multiple channels but I can't even produce things very consistently on one as my real job is a very busy. But maybe some consistent subjects would help more than how often. Fiber has been calling to me lately and I do dabble in weaving, knitting, crochet, tatting, spinning, felting. I've just joined a Handweavers guild which has managed to stay alive because of being open to all fiber arts and it is such a rich and open community. It's too bad it's not able to be that way on social media, that you won't reach as many people. I just think there are so many beautiful fun things in the world and I want to try them all.
@@suburbanartistry oh I totally agree. If I could have a photo darkroom and a wood shop in my house, I would! 😆😆😆 they all are amazing and enjoyable. I wish you much luck with all the videos you make too and hope you enjoy the process. 👍
I try to do it all. Spin, weave, knit, sew, dye, whatever. I love doing it but often trying to do too much or think of too many projects I want to try, exhausts me and I don't get anything accomplished. Love your videos.
Thanks, sounds like a good plan because I probably am one of those who skip the weaving videos. I found your channel because you explained how to use knitting machines. I hand knit mostly socks but some sweaters. I enjoyed watching your videos about the circular sock machine and then got a LK150 to try it and really enjoyed it. I now have a brother, a Passap and the midgauge knitting machine. I have made socks on the brother that I like after having it just over a month. I just got the Passap a couple weeks ago and have failed to get a good cast on, but I will try again over the holidays when I have more time. The knitting machines are addictive!
Great ideas! I love the CSM videos and am trying to collect patterns and ideas of things as well as socks that I can also make with mine...scarves, hats, baby things etc...
I’m also a multi crafter. I get how the algorithms can be a negative. Love how you’ve chosen to “fix” the problem. Now maybe I’ll get that loom out of the corner and use up some of that yarn I’ve stashed. 😊
Thank you Felicia. I'm multicraftual, with knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, dyeing, as well as sewing and quilting. I've learned so much from your UA-cam videos and School of Sweet Georgia, and look forward to learning more from your new weaving channels. I joined Discord, but haven't figured out how it works. Maybe a little tutorial would help some of us low tech people.
Thank you for being here and thank you for joining the SOS too! For sure, I think have a little Discord primer here sweetgeorgiayarns.com/how-to-join-the-sweetgeorgia-discord-server/ but let me know if you have questions and we can help!

Brilliant idea - funny how the algorithm tries to be smart but it can’t make sense of some of the oldest crafts in the world (and the predecessor of the computer itself!)
(I love idea of teaching others about weaving with knitting yarn-my friends have threatened to steal my woven blankets made of worsted weight wool!)
-The Tall Weaver
Thank you so much for following the new channel!! Hoping to spread more love for weaving! Will be watching your channel too! ✨
@@beverlyfusfield8709 welcome! I’m glad you found us here!! We do talk a lot about knitting so I hope you find something you like here 💗
Thank you for sharing your struggles, Felicia. Love your videos and your yarns so much. I must admit I did stop watching for a while because I am single focused with knitting. So appreciate everything you do. You are amazing!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you are back. 💖
I can't wait to subscribe to your weaving channel too. I'm a spinner, knitter, felter, and, weaver. I love it all!
Thank you for clearly expressing your thoughts - I think that having separate channels is a wonderful idea and I'm looking forward to learning so much more from you in the future!
I am SO excited about this!
As a multi crafter, I appreciate your dedication to sharing all your content so thoughtfully. Even though I’m not a big weaver, I have followed your posts just to see all the lovely things you create.
That's so kind! I'm glad you're enjoying the content.
Wow you so gently said it all! I’m here for all of it!
I’ll be subscribing to SweetGeorgiaWeaving for sure👍 And I’m looking forward to SweetGeorgiaSpinning, sweetGeorgiaInkleBands, SweetGeorgiaTatting…..
🤣
As a child, my grandmother taught me embroidery. As an adult I got into a historical recreation society and learned how to tablet weave and make lucet cording, and that brought back embroidery for me, but it also led me to loom knitting, which led me to Tunisian crochet, and now I am looking at learning to knit, and also dying and making rolags. Watching your channel gives me the support and community, but most importantly it gives me confidence that being a multicraftual maker is perfectly fine. Thank you for all you and your team do!
I’m sure you’ll figure it out!! As long as we know your name we will follow ❤
Processing alpaca fibre from scratch!! That's awesome! I think that's why we "multicraft"... to find out what it is we like and don't like :)
I am all of these and Thank You for teaching me how to use my CSM !!!! You are an inspiration and we are fortunate to have you ! Thank YOU!
I am a multi crafter as well and enjoyed watching your videos.
Hugs to you. I enjoyed your gentle reflection and explanation. You are a gem.
I love it all!!! The only thing your missing is Felting...lol
Ooh yes! FELTING!
Ahhh hahahahah yes! One of our SweetGeorgia team started a channel for felting! You can find him at @hoiarts (youtube.com/@hoiarts)
❤I want do it all. UA-cam is where I go to learn a new crafts,
I love your videos regardless what you talk about...that's the beauty of being multi-craftual.
Thanks for the support! So glad you’re enjoying the content and thrilled to hear that you were inspired by the sock machine! 💗
Yes yes and yes! Sewing and quilting are part of my world too! Love it all. Thanks for being here!
Thank you so much for making this video. I had no idea that there was a Sweet Georgia school. I just had a quick look and I'm so impressed!!! I'll definitely be watching a bunch of those videos. There's quite a line up!
I love it all! Keep going, I watch them all!!!!
I would like to be your neighbor!
I think this is a great idea. I look forward to watching both of the channels.
I'm experiencing the same thing right now. I've been debating starting a second channel to document more crafts. After seeing your video, I might start a second channel too instead of trying to make it work on the one channel
I am a multi crafter. YOU make beautiful things in different venues, and you inspire me so much. Thank you!!!
I would love to see more hand knitting and machine knitting
Feed is for fun and new discovery. I go to my subscriptions to check for new content from people i follow. Algorithms suck.
I try to do it all. Spin, weave, knit, sew, dye, whatever. I love doing it but often trying to do too much or think of too many projects I want to try, exhausts me and I don't get anything accomplished. Love your videos.
Thank you! I will be watching your knitting. I like all the other crafts but don’t always want to hear about them. I am a knitter!!
@@GG-wi4ur YES to knitting machines!!! Thank you for watching and I’m looking forward to more things we can do with knitting and machines 👌✨
