Spider celestial staff. Its not "the enemy" that needs to be in a poisened state, but the destined one. I.e., you need to self-inflict poison for it to work.
How can the fuban shooting be A tier while the spider celestial is S, that is simply insanity. Not only does the fuban have immensely more base dmg, but the 25% crit alone makes it possibly the strongest weapon in the entire game, only barely surpassed by the defense one with multiple NG completed and the correlated defence stacking armor.
Adept spine-shooting Fuban staff is definitely S-tier. It has a 25% critical chance, and with the staff, you can reach nearly 50% with medicines, soaks, and armor. Also, you missed Dark Iron staff, another S-tier.
Spec for crit % and damage, play in thrust stance and use the see through into the special effect with tripoint spear, im fairly certain nothing is more powerful. You can jump right back in for spinning thrust which increases your crit %. Use aura amplification pills and or loong aua amplification pills. I'm 99% sure unless someone has seen or done something I haven't that this is pretty much the fastest time to down on a boss, especially with zero set up other than casting spellbinder.
@phoenix3510 I do a swap build, mana stack: curio/spirit/wukong head piece, use incense to teleport, teleporting counts as respawn/resuscitation, triggers preservation orb curio, use spellbinder. Then switch spirit, curio to Def based, 3x gold spikeplate (+32 def), 2 or 1 agate jar (+15 def) and use waterward orb as situational curio (+49 def while in water), then I equip dark iron staff, switch to normal play build, nonable spirit, 2 cats eye beads, 3x beast Buddha. My stats are 935 health, 410 mana, 510 stamina, 392 atk, 664 def, 137 stamina recovery, 32% crit %, 208% crit dmg, 10% dmg bonus
You have to get a certain material to craft the dark iron staff from chapter 5 secret five cart quest it’s in the bishui cave and the tri point spear is upon the completion of the secret ending where defeat erlang
Dark staff best for me as attack power is based on how high ur defense is and as of right now mine is at 687 so u can imagine my attack power with the bull king armor and u can switch out the arm armor for wukong as it gives u more critical

You don't need to be at NG+ to craft Blazing Karma. Got it on my first playthrough.

Forgot the dark iron staff. Easily S tier when paired with the great sage armor set.
I prefer bull king armor set with dark iron staff. Since it's scales with defense
