And her facial expresión in 0:20 helped to sell the message
You know what’s crazy? The VS wiki places Wordgirl at Tier 7-C. Long story short, Tiers are split between 11 rankings, each one on a certain level of power. The letters A, B and C divide those even further, comparable to each other but closer than the numbered tiers are. For instance, Omniman is considered “High 6-A”:Tier 6 is “Tectonic”, ranging from Islands to Continental power. Thus, Omniman is considered “multi-continent level”.
Anyway, thanks to some meteor feats and flying to the sun and back in like, 5 seconds, Wordgirl is placed in the “Nuclear” tier, ranging from towns to large cities. Being 7-C, her power is capable of destroying an average sized town.
What’s humorous about that you might ask? Well… Homelander is only 8-B at best. As in, Urban tier, City Block level at best. Basically, chuckle as you imagine PBS kid friendly Wordgirl being able to stomp edglord Homelander’s face into the dirt with little effort.
@@TinkatonOCorviknightBodies So what you're saying is that wordgirl can overpower omni-man?
@@Him575 unfortunately no. She could maybe hold her own, but omniman is still a full entire tier higher than her. “Multi-continent level” vs “town level”. Still, that would also be hilarious.

You're right
For I minute I didn’t know what you meant by the “Joker” treatment, but then I remembered. “A fist though the heart, and Batman’s too late you give Superman a bad name”
@conradbarnes9671 not even the first time Superman gives Joker the Joker treatment. Joker has actually tried to switch Bats for Supes multiple times, but Supes has learned to brutally embarass/scare Joker if he tries to take the first step. It usually ends with Superman politely yet sternly reminding him that he may be the Blue Boyscout, but he DOES NOT have the no kill rule
"Joker treatment" as in Injustice Joker?
@@shiggydiggy8308 I think that's what most people forget about Superman. The only thing preventing him from killing people is the fact that he generally dislikes the idea, and that there could be severe implications depending on who he kills. Take Lex Luthor for example. While Lex has done more than enough shit to warrant Superman killing him, the effect it would have on Metropolis' economy would likely devastate the city for years. As for someone like Joker though? His death would have a more positive effect on the world than good. My guess as to why Superman doesn't already just kill him is that he knows he can just scare him off, and that he knows Batman can handle him

Yea, but it wouldn’t have that same hilarious shock.
Just like invincible
Nah, it's funny to see kids shows try to work around the censors.
"If only" 💀 bruh what
If this werent a kids show, Wordgirl would be whooping ass left and right
Villains disturb WordGirls peace.
WordGirl: so you have chosen death then.
''You exist because I allow it. And you will stand down, because I demand it.''
Damn, I didn't know Wordgirl was the vanguard of our destruction.
When she was on T.V, I was instantly reminded of when a goon walked in on batman then shut the door behind him like nothing happened. Carries the EXACT same energy
Goon sees himself being in the hospital bed hooked up to an ICU for months while in agonizing pain.
Yah exactly the man was just like I choose live
lol yeah
"Evening Jeremy, let me get you the usual. I thought you would still be at work."
"Was, but then Batman looked in my direction when I entered a room. You?"
"Had a moment where I remembered a 10 year old could dishonor me."
"...Let's pray she didn't hear that."
@@thebudderblock2149 dishonor or dismember?
For a PBS show, the writing is God-tier.
Yep
PBS in general was the goat and it wasn't the diet version of CN/NICK/XD, it was the Zero version
Which makes sense since it's a show about words.
Fun fact. Former family guy and the onion writers worked on Word Girl
*Cries in Arthur*
She really kept the smile until exactly the moment she started bending the bar. She's evil Bro 💀💀💀
I think it only just now hit the Butcher that the 5th grader he fights on a regular basis could turn him into literal ground beef if she felt like it. No wonder she has such a friendly rival dynamic with all her villains as opposed to actual hatred; anyone she seriously disliked is already 6 feet under!
Ik damn well the moment WordGirl snapped, all of us finna learn the words “R.I.P” and heaven soon lmfao
Same goes for spiderman, people forget spiderman can be strong.
@lainhikaru5657 there was one comic he didn't hold back and broke all of the green goblins bones in a single punch

Wordgirl is the definition of "This is only 1% of my powerlevel".
Shaggy, several alternate realities over: *I sense a new challenger*
@@hobomike6935 nah better "Ah I srnse taht my niece is actually showing of her power. Poor fool whoever angered her"
Thanks. Now I'm scared of her.
Atleast she's saying its only for the next coupke of hours. She very easily could've said "Hey, if you're a criminal, do Not leave your house for the next week, or I will maim you in the street!"
Becky/Wordgirl: You have existed only because I allowed it
Has the WordGirl fandom been reviving lately? I remember seeing these videos about half a year ago and there wasn't as many views or comments as there is now. It's nice to know the fandom isn't completely dead yet. It's crazy to think it's going to be 15 years since it premiered and 7 years since it ended. I wish WordGirl got a revival. It looks like there's a lot more the creators wanted to do with the show before Soup2Nuts shut down. Hopefully PBS makes the right decision to bring it back.
Yeap, it’s gotten a rise in popularity since last year
Thank god, I miss this show so much.
This was literally my favorite cartoon on pbs
I think media Momentos might have aided in that.
Been finding NEW Doctor Two Brains fanart and Toby art as well, glad it's making a comeback, but still surprised
I have also seen memes about Martha speak
I can see why its one of your all time favorite moments, its so damn funny. More kid shows need to take notes from this show. 0 babying the audience and top notch writing and comedy. This was a PBS kids show mind you. Meaning this was for little kids, and its still this good.
Once again, we need more kid shows like this.
Yes, this was one of my favorite shows when I was really little, and I can see why me and my siblings liked it so much.
Pbs kids go use to be the sh*t
Yah they some how mange to hit the mark for not just kids but adults which is wierd
Like the show doesn’t hold your hand on explaining things it just does and. It works
@@sammyjaohnson5631 yah what happened to it
@Sheldon bro how and why did you get here
I think the one small change that could have made this even funnier is if WordGirl chattered away while folding up the steel beam, barely even looking at it: "I've really been looking forward to this and I would just HATE to be called away by one of you causing trouble! I DO hope you understand me when I tell you that I _really_ can't be doing that (✿^‿^)" all the while showing off her metal origami skills. "You would have to go to jail or _worse,_ I would be VERY angry, so neither of us want that, you know? I hope we've reached an understanding here." and she ends with a big, slightly too wide grin 😁 as she shows off the steel beam folded into a swan or something, tossing it up and down like a baseball.
That would be genius
I love how this implies that she is totally fine with people trying to commit crime as long as it's on her schedule.
The Butcher was like, ‘Yeah. No. I’m good.’😂😂
His voice acting would be perfect for that line! I could totally hear it.
This show was fucking hilarious if you guys don't remember. She's basically a Kyrptonian, but since her villains are so pathetically weak it forces her to hold back her true strength. Her capabilities aren't anything to snuff at. She's probably just a tad under Superman/Omni-Man level.
She's just 10 years old, a little girl. Maybe when she's older, she becomes as strong as Superman, I mean she is based on him.
At least at full potential with training and more experience
“I feel like I’m in a world made of cardboard” -Wordgirl
The villains aren't weeeaaak
At least two of them are geniuses however of is also fused with a mouse brain and the other is just... idk what is Tobey.
