I bet this narrator, love is war, Stanley parable and powerpuff girls narrator would get along well!! They're all just so charming and quick to talk about each character. Whether it's at their expense or not, its so funny to have the omnipresent voice...😂😂😂
I really love how the narrator actually tries to help the characters in the story, by telling them what certain words are or trying to convince them to make good decisions. that's such an interesting concept.
Imagine the way everyone finds out Becky is Wordgirl is Narrator just fucks up and says something like “and Becky flys off to save the city again as Wordgirl” and her family’s just like, “TF DID YOU JUST SAY.”
they can hear the narrator and sometimes they interact with him, like in “dinner or consequences part 2” the mom tells the narrator to stop explaining what happened in the 1st part or whatever
Something I find funny is not everyone can hear the narrator, but Wordgirl and the villains can without issue. Either this narrator guy chooses who can hear him or he’s a figment of Wordgirl and the villains’ imaginations.
I know it’s not the point of this video, but I never see anyone talk about how amazing it is that the writers made everything Miss Question has ever said be a question and yet it always sounds natural
I honestly wish there were a few more of them or at least the ones we have now being more popular. The only examples I can personally think of with the Narrator being their own character is this, Stanley Parable, BattleBlock Theater, and Kaguya: Love is War's Dub. There are probably more, but I imagine not that many. It's a fun concept that's always awesomely executed. Makes it feel like there's someone beside us experiencing it with us, feeling the same way we do.
My favorite part is in the pilot 2min shorts, wordgirl's encounter with chuck he starts with "... by the hands of chuck the evil sandwich guy- *dies laughing*"
This video sure shows a good way to be a writer, instead of just making a narrator being a person narrating about life, it's also communicating with the show. We should all try to make things that are positive and not negative. This is a good example of one.
HELP IVE NEVER EVEN WATCHED THE ACTUAL EPISODES OF WORD GIRL BUT THE SHOW IS REALLY FUNNY. I like how it does teach kids but it also has a cool plot and fun jokes!
Dr. Two Brains: We both know you're just stalling because you have a silly schoolboy crush on her. Toby: *blushing* I-I do not! Narrator: Do too, do too! Toby: Stay out of this!
Now that I think about it, their interaction with each other sort of reminds me of how Little Misfortune interacts with her narrator. Probably just me🤷🏻♀️

I love the fact hes an ACTUAL character who actually can affect the plot
yes. we stan wordgirl narrator
Wordgirl ran so The Stanley Parable could sprint tbh
you're so right and you should say it
After this the Narrator decided to create a world of his own instead of inhabiting an already existant one. Thus, the Stanley Parable.

The narrator's voice actor is definitely having a blast.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to get Chris Parnell to be the narrator of this show... Absolute genius.

Can the family hear the narrator? The villains definitely can.
You know what? I see where the show's resurgence in popularity came from.
probably from someone who uploaded a popular wordgirl clip, a wordgirl meme, or probably a popular wordgirl episode.
