      How much paper work is involved in importing?

    • @SmartFurnishing
      @SmartFurnishing  8 місяців тому +1

      There’s only a few documents needed.
      First, they send you an invoice, you pay 50% via wire transfer. (Cheapest option, depending on your bank it can be $20~$50) then 50% before shipping.
      After you pay the other 50% you will receive “bill of landing” which has all the details about shipping and tracking.
      Before the shipment leaves the country you must file ISF (Importer Security Filing) to avoid fines
      Just before the machines arrive you will receive Arrival Notice from the shipping company you will need to pay import fees
      If you have a broker, they will temporarily store and file entry packet for you with the US government and you will be required to pay import fees based on the current percentage amount you paid for the machine.
      If you don’t have a broker you can take delivery but you must file and pay import taxes with the government yourself within 30 days.

    thanks for this video, Yes I had a good business experience with StyleCNC, it was almost at the same time before the pandemic I ordered my laser fiber from them. First, I was worried since that was the first time I ordered a machine from China. But my fear was lessened with the continuous communication updates from them. When finally it arrived after 2 months, the equipment was good, I was not disappointed with their suggested upgrades when I was given the options. No regrets and I also plan to get this model as well.

    Great video. I've been trying to buy all the parts and build my own 5' X 12' LASER/CNC table since 2019 with almost ZERO luck. Parts were ordered, but then cancelled form China. When relisted, they were twice the price ! Bought a 1800mm Ball Screw for the X-Axis... nope...FedEx lost it in shipping, only to find it 3 weeks later. Then, returned it to the seller because the box had been so badly destroyed some how. So I still need my 4X 3600m Guide Rails, and 2X 3600mm Ball Screws. NOPE, Chinese company wouldn't ship, said the shipping Max Length for Air was 2500mm...I didn't ask for Air, but no sale.
    Aaaaand then COVID really kicked in, and everything was a no go for 6 months. So I'm $1,800 into a project I originally slated for $2,500 total, but that $2,500 won't hardly cover everything I need to finish it now. It is ALWAYS something ! Glad you got yours done the SMART way !!!

      I honestly do no know how you thought you could build such a huge machine for so little money...maybe with rollers on aluminum extrusions and rack and pinion drive it would be possible but never ever with linear rails and ball screws. Doesn't matter where the precision parts come from. Precision costs money and cheap Chinese stuff is no particularly precise 😟 I'm sorry to have to tell you this.

    What stepper drivers are these at 9:05? Btw great video,
    As I understand The spindle VFD requires 0-10VDC to adjust the speed. The cnc controller usually generate a PWM output for controlling the spindle speed, you need to use a PWM to Analog converter module to convert the PWM signals to the equivalent analog voltage

    One issue I am having with picking out a machine is the voltage rating. One machine says 220V/380V 3 phase. Does this mean 220V single phase/380V 3 phase or both 3 Phase? I have only a 200A 220v single phase to the shop and getting 3 phase would be costly out of town a few miles away from main power lines. This is in the US.

    • @SmartFurnishing

So yes, they can use any parts that you choose on your machine. They didn't even try to upsell me on these during the process, I just asked for them and they quoted a price. Mine has an LNC MW2200 controller with nice full computer screen - Taiwan made and not the greatest support in english, but looks super nice as a controller when you learn it. It has on-screen G-code simulations. It is all about price and what you want to pay for. Pay a little and get old controllers, pay some more (usually very little extra cost) and get better components.

      I have a STM1530C (5'x10' with ATC and small removable 4th axis) on the way (Feb17th,2023). I got prices very close to the listed website price without negotiating (Final price was $19k shipped). I only asked for a $500 discount towards the end, but made it clear that I wanted them to take more care to build it right, than to make it absolute lowest price. This was after asking for several upgrades to the specs to make sure that the parts were top quality (Yaskawa 850w servos, Delta inverter, pneumatic rollers, extra vac pump, etc). You don't get something for nothing, and they can substitute components around to get the price you ask for. Or use better parts to get the quality you want. It doesn't make sense if you use this for work to care about $1000 in the end if you will have lower quality or hassles.
      I don't have my machine yet, but I had no issues with the purchase, spent $125 on an inspection service that visited the factory, saw my machine (it has my name printed on the gantry), took pictures, identified components, measured sizes, test cut, etc.
      So time will tell, but the company is legit and I have talked to several others in the US that have StyleCNC machines.

      I’m not sure what F value is. But I do know that it didn’t use to read the set feed speed. After changing the settings it does. So if a cut needs to change feed speed half way through the cut it will do that. However the spindle speed cannot be set in G-code: it can only be set manually before the cut. If spindle speed is different half way through the code the machine will pause for 10 seconds to allow you to change it. Also if you have a coolant setting in your G-code, that can also be read, so I use it to run air blast at the bit. And I can turn it on or off in the G-code.

      We ordered this machine from China a year ago, the cost of shipping, taxes and delivery were crazy. The machine is amazing. This was for a side business a friend I started but our daily jobs take more of our time and we are willing to sell. Located in Houston Texas. Let me know if you are interested. Our machine is the same as the one from the video but has the water tank to cut metals too.

    Thank u for your video. I'm shopping for a CNC router machine for cabinets and this video helps a lot. I like the price. It's a fraction of what the others are asking. Can u please let me know if the software is include and quality and precession. Thanks in advance

    • @SmartFurnishing
      @SmartFurnishing  3 роки тому

      There is no software included. The machine operates on a usb drive. So it basically has its own computer. But if you’re asking about G-code, there are lots of different options available to generate it. I personally use fusion 360, after you model your 3D object, you then switch to manufacturing tab where you create the G-code for the machine. There are lots of UA-cam videos on that. Other then that, the machine computer is easy to use, as you can see towards the end of this video.

      Are you referring to fusion 360?
      I was mostly self thought. I was introduced to it in college and then learned to use it watching UA-cam videos. But overall it’s very intuitive and easy to use once you get a chance to play with it. I would recommend starting by making a semi-complex geometry, that way you’ll be able to quickly learn the basics.

    They quoted me $3000 to ship the same machine to Portland…. Wonder why?

    • @SmartFurnishing
      @SmartFurnishing  2 роки тому

      That’s because the shipping industry is very busy right now with a lot of back order, so it takes more time, which allows shipping companies to rise prices.

      @@SmartFurnishing yeah I figured, that’s unfortunate because the price point is great. I have a few questions. Are the motors nema 34? I assume they are servo motors? What is the rapid movement speeds it can do when in the air? And can it cut around 500ipm full depth on 3/4 ply with a 3/8” bit? That was what I used to run my Ez-router at.

    • @SmartFurnishing
      @SmartFurnishing  2 роки тому

      Only the spindle is a servo motor.
      The rest are Steppers and there doesn’t seem to be a limit to how fast you can run them. I was able to run mine at 850in/min
