  • I had a really fun time bashing the Kyosho OutLaw Rampage Pro last time on 2s so it's time to try 3s. This little truck is tough but can it hold up to a 3s beating? Still rocking the crawler tires but 1.9's are mostly crawler tires lol. Can this truck handle a 3s bash, watch and see. Thanks for watching, please like, sub, and click that bell!

So, I'm running stock tires and wheels, 24t pinion on a sensored brushless 13.5 , just installed full front bumper lights and head lights in body. Desperately need a tail light. Runs great on 2s. Only running on street to see how fast it could be, need to set up stronger braking. I did run it on 3s and it's extremely fast, with a lot of body roll. I bought 2 of these in RTR, a red and a gold. And I also have two kit versions not built. I don't know what top speed is, but I will guess 35 to 40. on 3s. Its about as fast as the BBX on 3s. A stock Associated Rival 10 does 40 on 3s out of the box. This is right up there if not faster. Just harder to control. Oh and my esc is the 120a Hobbywing knockoffs that are in expensive. However I'm not bashing them of jumps taller than the truck. If I want to fly, I will go buy a plane.

I found that on my diff the out drive seals where to big , locking the diff , it made it very squirrelly and tipped over to easy . Oh yeah a cheap gyro really helped as well !

How about some proline 2.2/3.0 short course wheel and tires to replace the crawler wheels and tires?

Did you have to get a different wax to make it 3s?

Hi! Looks as if you really took the time to get to know this chassis. Hope you can answer me this:
-can I take some wheels from my big SCRT 3.0/2.2 collection and fit hem under the Rampage? Like the great pre-mounted ProLine Calibers
-the wheelbase is the same; will a Slash body fit?
-do you think this chassis will be able to keep up when competing in a stock fun class SCRT race? Asof yet, I have not found any videos of this chassis being driven on a track...
Some one commented that it’s better to buy an Axial Score and make it 2wd... good idea but over my budget....
Thanks and Greetings all the way from Alkmaar the Netherlands!

Would be a really cool truck to have a few of them and race against your buddy’s for beers. I like the 2wd for tricky factor. Keep up the vids man. You have a unique style and people appreciate the commentary/ narration. Let’s everyone know what’s going on with the builds

Looks a bit rear-heavy with the ESC on the cage ... sure it'll require extending the motor wires but installed inside, you'll have a better weight distribution that will help on jumps and a bit on control (though a gyro might be a good help from what I've seen on other videos).

Man your pumping out some content these days! Keep it up man! Hey if you get a chance to get the 3s Arrma Granite, run it a bit, and then give your thoughts on good shock upgrades etc to make them a better basher/jumper that would be awesome brother!

I recommend getting the hot racing aluminum shock bodies atf155af08 for the front and atf155ar08 for rear they are great cause they use the stock shaft and shaft guards and are adjustable. Or the hot racing complete shocks. You will need 120mm in the rear and 100mm up front. If you really want to know all the options and information Google "Arrma shock upgrade thread" one guy did a phenomenal thread on all the sizes and options. I recommend joining the forum as it's a great resource.

A lot of 2wd sct trucks have a good amount of rear toe to help generate traction on loose surfaces. Good for low to medium speeds, but workers against the truck at high speeds. Getting loose at 50+mph is unnerving lol

This Kyosho SCT is Motor on Axle design.
Toe in is non adjustable on a solid Axle.
2wd would need a scale 'sure grip, locker, or Posi.'

Tyres wise on my team associated rally i had street tyres on asphalt amd they had crap grip. The original tyres were good but wore out.. got new block style and grips way better. Although its 4wd..
When it comes to 2wd i got a vaterra glamis uno.. its a weapon on 2s 3 s it would be uncontrollable.. . But i do love the car especially on grass. .
When it comes to your kyosho I'd think a block style (motorcross bike tyre style) .. might give better grip or more traction rolling.. .
