    Hi there. Learning AutoCAD for kitchen design and am having a hard time finding videos like yours. Most of the videos have distracting music, the pace is way too fast to even know what command they used etc. I was wondering if you have considered doing a detailed video of how to draw a kitchen layout with elevations. I have used 2020 design since 2006, but many other jobs are also using CAD and I would like to learn how to use it for this purpose. Hoping for any input.

    I'd mention that when you create the dynamic restroom block, it is only for personal use. It is not acceptable to do that if you work on an office and other team members also use your drawings. You could get fire if your boss finds it. Be careful. Overall well explained Cad in Black!

      @@crispinandrews8400 sure. When you work for someone or in an office, you need to follow your office standards. They have already all type of blocks that they always use. You can not just create a block inside another block. Your coworkers might also need to work in your drawings, and have issues of manipulating this nested layers.

      Up for this

    • @inkscapepanda
      @inkscapepanda 5 місяців тому

      Since no one replied. The answer is easy: he took the interior dimensions. Just do a 0.88 square right where the 4.75 wall value ends, and then do a diagonal. When you offset it 0.3 (wall thickness), the interior diagonal can make a small square of 0.7. He kind of skipped a few steps there, and there are quite a few dimensions missing overall (he could have added some extra angles for clarification), hence why you have to do some extra subtractions here and there to get the missing values.

      Autocad also provides sample files with blocks to use in your projects. A lot of people does not know this feature. By default the files are located on:
      c:\ -> Program files -> Autodesk -> Sample -> en-us -> designcenter
      Open the files and check their content.
      Regarding your problem you can use scale with reference to put it right:
