@@danrunnoft6642 there ok there 500 dollars saw on at my local guitar center I played it I wouldn’t say there the best but not bad for the price I would say there’s of guitars in the same price range that’s been but it’s just my opinion
I actually did need that moment at the beginning to wipe the smile off my face and surmise that here was another warranty repair. Very satisfying! Repeated several times would be awesome.
I used to own two identical guitars, except one had the bridge tilting. I sold the non-tilting one as I prefered the lower action of the tilting one. Which makes me wonder if glueing the brace and getting rid of some tilt would actually raise the action, despite the reduced belly? Anyway, thanks for smashing the guitar to pieces. The first time ever a Fender acoustic has sounded good.
@@GlitchyPickles it’s the same as the fender strat headstock but if you see the strat headstock on a fender acoustic guitar then you know it’s a top dollar fender acoustic because that’s the headstock on there higher end acoustic guitars
Really enjoy how you walk thru the process of determining what exactly is wrong with the guitar. Your insight is invaluable to me. You have compelled me to start using magnification when setting up and diagnosing my guitars . It’s amazing and enlightening.

She might be using Google translator, right? I am not sure if you are familiar with Ian Davlin and the Looth Group. And interviewed her and her partner. I have a Fender California series Newporter limited edition ,but it's not the all solid body version ; mine is the solid top with laminated back & sides, the 430.00 USD i bought it on sale like 4 years ago marked down 100 bucks USD Mine doesn't have any of those issues discussed in this video... is it the best sounding guitar in my opinion? no. Would I ever by another Newporter? no. I think for the same price range could get something better in my opinion.. overall Mine does have nice features like binding, walnut fret board , I think the frets are medium jumbo or something, i dunno has a newbone bride & nut.. however it's called, with walnut Bride vintage style tuners ..... I dunno I think mine sounds nice with the right set up & amp, but unplugged it can't even be on the same stage with a Taylor, or any of the other brands ... I think Fender makes great electric guitars but could use some improvements in their acoustic line up just my opinion
It is in fact, the general opinion that Fender acoustic guitars aren’t exactly the best sounding guitars or even the best made guitars. I never liked the look of an acoustic guitar with a Strat style headstock. It doesn’t look well together, to my eyes. That’s just personal taste. I used to own a USA Fender acoustic when I was a teenager. I can’t remember what model it was. In fact, I never paid attention. It had a head stuck shape that was more similar to a Martin head stock shape, with a V shaped cut out at the center of the upper edge. I’m not sure if that guitar sounded any good or not. I have no recordings. Back in the day I also did not change the strings very often, and I used the wrong strings for that guitar. In fact, I used electric guitar strings on that acoustic guitar But I love the guitar and never wanted to part with it. When I moved out of the house, my mom sold it without my permission. I never got over it.

I was going to make an entire video about that, actually. In fact, I am probably going to make the video. I am European and I think metric. However, interestingly, enough, I have adopted inches for some of the measurements on guitars. I think I should make a video about that. I think you might find my reasoning interesting. Let me make a mental note of that, so that I don’t forget. I would in fact like to make a video about this specific topic. I think many people would find it interesting.
Pregnant. Omg... Lmao... See your funny. Great sense of humor without leaving the storyline. I'm learning so much. Rather ambitious fix here. On the edge of my seat. Looking forward to more.
There’s no excuse for that high nut, and especially the poor racing. But I think you’re too aggressive on your string heights, 150 is plenty low for have you even medium strumming with a pick before fretting out, don’t you think?
I don’t understand what you mean by 150 being low. Are you saying that .150” would be acceptable, action height? While action height is debatable, I go for .080” on the treble side and .100” on the bass side, measured at the 12th fret, after I make sure that the nut and the neck relief are correct. I find that to be the most widely acceptable acoustic guitar setup for most players, without them knowing anything about actual measurements. Also, I do not do guitar setups by customer request. The way I work is by me examining the guitar first and then advising the customer what the guitar actually needs in order to achieve the best playability. Or perhaps, I misunderstood what you were saying.
You never said whether or not you recommend this guitar. 🤔
I guess it would depend on the intended use, LOL.

Nice intro, just what I needed to jolt me awake. Plus, it just feels weird to have a Fender headstock on a big acoustic guitar…
That's precisely the design feature I never liked on these Fender Acoustic guitars.

A few pieces of wood, glued together, but not glued strongly, as it turns out.
