This movie is actually a masterpiece. The writing and the story is so good!
Everything except for Tao's terrible God awful acting, which almost ruins the movie.
Very heartfelt reaction. You understood what was going on. As a 70 year old man, I quote Walt "I have more in common with these tribal people half way around the world than I have with my own "new age" Americans". I enjoyed watching Gran Torino with you and I admire your values.
Walt probably also had much more in common with these two guys than his family as well.
Yay! Excited for this. No matter how old he is, no matter where you are, Clint Eastwood will always be the coolest person in the room.
"He is old but has style." That's Clint Eastwood.
Time to break the boys in with Outlaw Josey Wales. Directed and starred in by Clint Eastwood . 1976
💯💯💯👍👍
That would be a good one. Tells a story of a very difficult time in American history.
You guys are doing fantastic movie reviews, every time they get better!!
Love the insight & passion these guys bring to there reactions. They are an absolute pleasure to watch!
Clint Eastwood is fantastic in Gran Torino, he is also the Director of the movie too.
Great choice of film to react to.
Cheers.
You guys are great. I highly recommend Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby, also directed by Clint Eastwood. Million Dollar baby is a tough one to get through, very tragic. To be honest, both are.
I grew up in a community with many Hmong people. I relate to this film a lot. I grew up with Hmong gangs in nearby cities. It's a very relatable film for me and many others. The people I met there's no question they could be more friendly and welcoming than one's own family. I do know of neighboring cities where the gangs were a significant problem. Not even large cities, but places like Wausau, Wisconsin.
I’ll really never get tired of watching people watch this film. It’s that good
Can I just say, that Gran Torino is indeed a "badass whip". Excellent film!
Totally wasn't expecting you guys to watch this one today. It's a classic. I know I've said it before but you two are my favorite classic movie reviewers. I'm looking forward to joining your Patreon soon 😁
Thanks for another great reaction. Walt reminds me of my grandfather and friends dad's who faught in those wars. One of my favorite movies.
The medal is a Silver Star, a high military decoration given for courage in battle.
For some perspective, Walt was a decorated army veteran who fought in the Vietnam war. The neighbors were Vietnamese. This is why he showed animosity towards them in the beginning. Nice review!
I think he also suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of his experiences during the war -- it's one reason why he probably had such difficult relationships with his family members, and carried a lot of guilt in his life. His way to cope was unhealthy anger.
As a typical boring American I don't think I have ever listened to something on UA-cam in your language before. This Gran Torino reaction was enlightening, educational, and maybe it's corny but kind of beautiful. Thank you.
One item you might have missed. When Walt called his son but the son had no time for him, he was calling to tell him he had terminal lung cancer. The lab report is there on the table in front on him.
Walt took that into account when he formulated his plan against the gang.
Such a great movie to see Clint Eastwood the first time! And great reactions. Love how they grew to understand Walt, and honored his sacrifice at the end. They were very right; it was an old action. Something he thought about for a good while, and used to enable justice, and keep Thao's family safe. Age hath its wisdom.
I also found it funny when Walt said the bit about kids these days, and they came out with the same comment almost in unison!
Also, Clint is playing a ex soldier of the Korean war. Most soldier's came home not being a big fan of asians after what they experienced in WWII and Korea. So that's what we're seeing here. A man figthing with his own prejudice.. And of course Clint always plays the roughneck that eats barbwire for breakfast and pisses napalm.. That's just his shtick.
Clint in this movie reminds me of my Grandpa, he was also stubborn, grumpy but also a good heart when you respect him......just like me.
If you have not seen the western "Unforgiven" yet, you should first see "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" theatrical cut. It is said that Clint Eastwood reprized his famous Man With No Name character from that classic series of Sergio Leone directed "spaghetti westerns" back in the 1960's for "Unforgiven."
Check out A Fistful of Dollars (1964) -- Clint Eastwood in his first leading role as "the man with no name". Directed by Sergio Leone and adapted from the Akira Kurosawa film Yojimbo (1961). The film changed cinema forever.
Another Clint Eastwood masterpiece is Million Dollar Baby. Hope you get to watch it. It is one of Clint’s best movies if all time. Very emotional and a powerhouse of a movie.
I cant tell you how much i love these guys. i just recently found this channel and ive already binged watched all their reactions. was so happy to see this new upload and this by far is my favorite. these 2 are quite the empaths
No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends.
Great reaction gentlemen to a great movie. ❤
There are many wonderful movies Clint Eastwood directed by him. I would recommend The Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven and Mystic River.
TOJW, best western ever.
Love watching you guys reacting to movies . ❤ greetings from Germany
Hello from England 🇬🇧 great reaction as usual. Very much enjoyed it. Thank you.
Y'all have the insight of people that have spent their lives watching movies. Clint Eastwood's voice is unmistakable.
Happy birthday Mansoor blessings and love from sister Bec in Kentucky,USA
THIS is one of my favorite movies, you must have known it’s my birthday! Thanks! Haha
Hacksaw Ridge is a great movie for these two men too watch
My favorite Clint Eastwood Actor/Director films are Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino. You should definitely watch them all. Masterpiece films. My favorite Clint Eastwood Actor movie is The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. It’s the best of his “Man With No Name” films. Highly recommend it also.
Such a beautiful movie. I'm glad you were able to watch it and understand it's depth of meaning, my friends.
It really is!
I think they need to know the reason Mr. Kowalski hated Asians at first is because he fought in Korean War. During war, soldiers are taught to dehumanize the enemy so it is easier to kill them.
I love these dudes. My city has a huge south asian population and I hate so many of them. I'm not racist, but too many of them are racist to me. But I would love to have these guys as my neighbors. I love their values. I don't usually use the word "love" so often, but I really do love these dudes.
Sorry to hear. Are you black? Glad you like these guys, though.
It will be a trip when they watch something with young Clint Eastwood in it. Unrelated, but would love to see them get to watch The Iron Giant - animated classic and I think they would love it 🍿
Keep this up. I have so many movies they may enjoy.
I know it is random, but how about "Paper Moon" starring Tatum O'neill?
For some reason, I think they would get quite a kick out of it :)
Naveed and Mansoor What an awesome pair.
Love watching their reactions and feed backs. So genuine they are.
I adore both so much.
Unforgiven is also a good choice. Starring
Clint Eastwood and
Morgan Freeman.
Love your Channel.
Good reaction guys. Happy birthday Mansoor.
AWESOME! I've been dying for Naveed & Mansoor to see this and react to it as it plays out!!! Thank you! I am so glad my dear friends (Naveed & Mansoor) enjoyed the emotional ride of the film. Walt Kowalski was slowly dying from Tuberculosis and didn't have much longer to live and he wanted to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and die a death of honor as he helped to remove those filthy gang members from society. Clint Eastwood is most known for his western movies (like Outlaw Josey Wales, a great film) but I consider this his masterpiece. Thanks for getting my friends to watch it! God bless you guys! 🙏
*Maybe you guys can find a subtitled version of the movie "Paul"... it's a comedy about and alien and 2 British guys visiting America for a comic book convention, and a wild adventure takes place - NOT the movie about Paul the apostle from the Bible. Paul is from 2011. Very funny!
Great Reaction!! Million Dollar Baby is another good Clint Eastwood movie, you would enjoy it
Another great review 😊 , please show them "Driving Ms Daisy" with Morgan Freeman because I believe they would love that movie guys!!!!!😘
I love that you guys watch Gran Torino. I'm not sure if it's possible for a lot of the slurs to translate well though. 😆
Finally a good and easy to understand movie in these reaction channels. Only something wrong with your audio - noises at the end of your clips
Great Clint Eastwoow and great you guys!!! I suggest to watch even the other movies with and directed by Clint Eastwood like "The Mule" "Mistic River" "American Sniper" "Milion Dollar Baby" etc..etc... there are tons of great movies to watch
They stopped too soon. They missed Clint singing and playing the piano. Apart from being an actor and a great film maker, hes a jazz and blues musician. Hes made music fir his films since the 70's. His son Kyle has follwed in his footsteps and has become a jazz musician on a lager scale, and they have worked together on the soundtrack several times. Hes other son Scott thats actually in this movie for 5 minutes is an actor too and he looks so much like Clint that he could take over and play the same characters that Clint did. So Dirty Harry and The Man With No Name could come back in theory. 😊
Saw this in theaters. The gasp from the audience as Sue walked in after being assaulted was chilling.
Of all the movies they could have picked, I can't believe they're watching my favorite one.
EDIT: Everyone SHOULD confess their sins, but only to God, not an overeducated, 27-year-old virgin.
Can’t tell you how excited I was to see the new upload was Gran Torino, man that flick is easily a top 10. Id recommend another good drama that they would probably like that easily places in the masterpiece category; the movie “No Country For Old Men” is super bomb.
I love our dear gentleman so much! So compassionate and understanding! Love their reactions so much! I feel that they would really love the movie UP (Disney).❤❤❤
If you guys read the comments, might I suggest you react to Gone With the Wind? It’s from 1939 and it takes place during the American Civil War and it’s aftermath. While today it’s considered controversial, it’s rightfully considered one of the greatest dramas/epics from Hollywood’s Golden Age. The costumes, the sets, and the score, are more than enough to keep you interested. Not to mention the movie has one of the most complex and compelling heroines of all time.
Must watch Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry.😂
If you're taking suggestions, you gotta watch SHE'S FUNNY THAT WAY
My favorite movie! So excited to see the reaction!
Very nice reaction, from a couple of very nice guys!!
I think these guys would love watching Godzilla. The 2014 would be a good one to start with. Kong Skull Island would be a good one also. These men need to see the Monsterverse.
Walt fought in the Korean War. Which was a vicious war against North Korea.
That's why he disliked his new neighbors which ironically were Korean.
Could we give these men more play time on their reviews? I would rather them than Babu having 50 minutes.
Thank you so much for this reaction. I love your thoughts about Mr Kowalski!
Great reaction as always Chaps and it would be nice to see you both react to to more Dramas like this in the future.
he made so many movies and am sure your followers will recommend them..I could give you a list as long as my arm..but I narrow it down to 2 any which way but lose aand the sequel any which way but win.
Clint Eastwood plays a mechanic who also does street fighting as a side line to earn money his best friend is Clive an orangutan that has superior intellect ..its a comedy.
his rivals a are biker gang called the black widows and are so inept they are hilarious.
Great movie ! Great reaction !
Great movie. He was dying from lung cancer so he chose to die that way instead of in a hospital
Actually, he wanted to die that way because he knew he was going to. THIS way those thugs would be in jail for murder and his new Asian family would be protected.
The scene with the three black guys the white guy is Clint Eastwood’s son in real life. The actor is playing Walt.
Another Clint Eastwood movie I recommend is “Million Dollar Baby”. It’s so sad, but so good, just like this one.
Clint Eastwood is the best ever!
I fricken love and respect these men so much. They respect each other and seem to hold value in each other's opinions.
I always look forward to watching them. Thank you for this channel!
The movie "Blood Diamond" might be a little beneficial for their ongoing education about the world outside of their region.
At last, the lads meet The Legend.
They would love a recent Tom Hanks remake: A Man Called Ollie
Absolutely amazing how movies bring such emotions. When you empathize like this, you have a beautiful and big heart. Stay strong and healthy my friends ❤️
Watch Kingdom Of Heaven next
Awwww bro Mansoor cried. I think next u should show them 'Space Cowboys' or 'Million Dollar Baby' seems like they enjoy Clint Eastwood.
22:42 A good man (good men) :) Good journey...Peace!
No need for atrocities against anyone. Period.
its so funny but true what my italiano brother said and did in the barber shop...saluti !!!!
First comment and like ❤ glad to see you guys
Great review! Thank you.
They could react to one of Bud Spencer & Terence Hill's action-comedy movies, for example: Watch Out Were Mad. That is if they are dubbed in their language.
You should watch "Uncle Buck". I loved this reaction but too lighten things up you works watch this comedy movie.
Is this really the 1st Clint Eastwood movie you've shown the guys? And 8 months ago (at the time I'm seeing this) and you haven't shown them another Eastwood film? Time to do a Clint Eastwood series. "Pale Rider", "The outlaw Josey Wales", "Escape from Alcatraz", & "in the Line of Duty" are good starts to his material.
Look for any movie Clint Eastwood was involved with. As an actor, director, or producer... You will see a real man, holding himself accountable.
Great flick!
Show these gentlemen Eastwood's best movie, "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".
Superb film with a great but brutal message
Great Reaction !!!! Thank You
The thing most people don't get is, Kowalski was not a racist. He was a old jerk that used discriminatory terms. He vehemently disliked everyone.
"What is happening with the younger generation?" Said every generation ever.
Love your reactions guys!
i want to see ladies enjoying movies
You just told them this is his first movie! Noooooo!
This is his first movie for them😊
The dog makes me crushed. So sad.
I love this! keep posting! where are you guys from?
Next they should view The Good The Bad and The Ugly to see Eastwood in his prime
Hi, any chance of watching The Matrix? It was a revolutionary movie and way ahead of it's time. The internet was still very new and it shows the future. One of a kind action movie too!
Yes, sure, I am working on it
@@Cinephilesreact786 Awesome! You are doing a great job with the channel. Ive been subbed for a few years to the other channel too. Ive been recommending this channel to others to help it grow
Sometimes a warrior strength is not to fight 😢
I agreed with everything you guys said
