Every day without a new Seventh Wonder album is a rainy day for my heart.
Yeah he's great in Kamelot, but his own style is much better, imo. It's so much more impactful, because no matter how great he is in Kamelot, it always has a sense that he's holding back.

Paul Niemczyk Tommy was the perfect choice to take over after Khan left. Silverthorn is also quite incredible. He is definitely an extremely talented vocalist. And he's a firefighter on top of all of that.
Incidentally, this could be a massive release for 2017. Imagine Tommy being involved both Haven and this new album, each unique to their respective bands. Haven is a work of art. How could one person be so talented and so fortunate?

Fantastic song, and part of the Inner Enemy double-concept. But as Andreas has said, neither of these songs will be on the new album due out early 2017. While Andreas and Tommy did some rewriting on the lyrics earlier this year, we are still looking at music SW wrote at least 2.5 years ago. Whatever lies in wait for the new album will be even more evolutionary :D
Finally, some music. :) The song is great. On first listen, it has a very "mercy falls" sound to it to me which is not a bad thing, but we all know how progressvie music works, connecting with the song and all that. Great job so far, guys!!!!!!!
Great musicians. It is really big joy listening them. Great production, great harmonies and melodies. Bass player is one of the best that I have heard in metal.

Well, the two songs are just excerpts which, when you take songs from a concept album it removes the context so it may not seem like it, but it's quite possible they may be doing a new concept on their upcoming album.
The only conceptual are the repetitive "We will survive" and "Tonight is your night" into Inner Enemy and this song. Maybe are conceptual or poor lyric creativity.
It's not "poor lyric creativity" because both songs (Inner Enemy and The Promise) are connected, two parts of the same story, so it's only natural and normal that some ideas get repeated. Besides, when they released The Promise they said that the lyric "Tonight is your night" is a direct reference to Inner Enemy :)
Despite the fact that the name of their next album sound more like a Disney movie than a metal album, I hope for a darker tone, similar to Mercy Falls.
I think this song is about a drug addict that is fighting addiction and looking for a way out. He's lost faith in everything (i'm pretty sure in Inner Enemy he says he doesn't believe in salvation), and The Promise is his way of finding his way back to life after kicking his habit. He has a very negative view of the world to begin with though. Love analyzing lyrics.

"Hear the siren calling"; "crown" rhyming with "clown" ... god, how many times i have to listen to these kind of lyrics in metal songs?! SW = great band, but the lyrics on this one song are just really really bad.

I must say that I much prefer this to the new single, Victorious. Probably the best song they've done (except maybe The Great Escape).
However, Tiara's Song is just epic! Plus this has grown on me loads since I first heard it.
