The problem with people who dislike power metal is that it really doesn't matter what one says to those people, because they are determined to believe that it is "cheesy," even given the absence of a decent definition thereof.
Cheesy is more often a lack of context or valid reason, rather than a simple action.
Power metal. Excellent musicians and singers, singing coherent lyrics about a fantasy world they created, interspersed with emotional songs, action songs, political and religious songs, and also stories woven together from song to song.
We get break-downs, bridges, choruses, verses and long instrumental interludes ranging in styles from a soft piano to a sweeping movie-score piece.
Once again, it does not seem to have any "cheesiness" outside of the usual suspects; poor writers here and there.
And even then, usually it's not so much "cheesy" or "groan-worthy" as it is "repetitive" and "unimaginative."
i just only wishing that nuclear blast spend money more and more to twilight force, the sound always awesome, they are NEVER disapoint us, so...
please pay attention for mixing and mastering more, it takes money but they are desreve to get it.

I LOVE this kind of ultra-cheesy, ultra-thematic power metal. This is the stuff I want to hear right before a D&D session.

The band comes from the same city as Sabaton: Falun, in Sweden. I believe they are good friends. I live in a town next to them. The keyboard player/narrator, was one of my teachers when I went to university there. Looking forward
to their new, upcoming album. Ridiculously cheesy and gloriously powerful choruses. Just as we like it. :)

Twilight Force reminds me of old Rhapsody aka Rhapsody of Fire. I love it
Sounds like Freedom Call, not at all like Rhapsody. And Rhapsody is 1000x better.
Maybe might sound a bit more like Freedom Call, some kind of mix. Classic cheesy powermetal but with their own sound.
Rhapsody today suck but old Rhapsody was great, one of my favorite bands for sure.
Twilight Force is great, but Rhapsody if waay better. What makes Rhapsody so good is the story

I am really glad I found this band. I gave both their albums a listen and I loved EVERY SINGLE SONG on the albums. It is like Twilight Force understands perfectly what my definition of music is. I really hope they continue making songs that "they" like and not be swayed by the opinions of others. I can't wait to hear what they will make in the future.
Also, Twilight Force just made it to my favorite bands list along with DragonForce, Freedom Call, and Power Quest.

And thats not a bad thing, Rhapsody of Fire is an amazing band! I remember i got hooked on power metal after my friends older brother played Symphony of Enchanted Lands for us, back in 1998. I bought that album a few days after, and im surprised the cd isnt worn out from all the use.

I don't get it. Their first album had a "cleaner" production, this feels a bit...noisy, maybe? it just sounds muddy to me. I also noticed that Christian isn't singing nearly as high-pitched as he did on the first album, not that that is a bad thing, just my preference I guess. he sounds like he is now performing his vocals in a way that matches his live capabilities. he often sings parts live an octave lower.
overall, this is sick. can't wait to hear the rest. \m/
Might have a different sound on the "real" song.
He might have realized that people expect him to sing so high live and then he doesn't, obviously it's hard to maintain such high vocals for a longer time.

Twilight Force is my new fav band (or let's say has been since 2014) but can't help to point out that the ending vocal melody at 4:52 is exact replica of Domine's True Believer song's ending at 5:28. DOmine's album was issued in 2004.

So glorious, pure musical joy. I find myself grinning like a child in front of my computer right now! It's not very innovative or anything, but these guys have their own style i think, they play what they want and to me, not all music has to be deep, serious and re-inventing all the time. Reminds me a bit of Gloryhammer, minus the parody. :D
OK i just listened to the track once more. Fucking amazing, not even kidding! Many compare them to Rhapsody and its not debatable that they must have been a heavy influence, but to me, they still sound kinda unique, just some nuances here and there. +1
