In the video description they say this is a continuation of a brooding story from 15 years ago, the year ghost opera came out. So for all those asking if this is a sequel, is sure as heck is and i loved every second of it
Kamelot is one of the reasons why I fell in love with symphonic metal over 10 years ago. This song brings out the best of their music, with the symphonics and metal guitars in harmony. This really is an opus, and to hear just the orchestra from this song would be amazing as well. It is definitely an evolved ghost opera
A friend introduced me to Kamelot back in 2003, when I was 15. It helped me get through some rough patches in adolescence & thus became one of my favorite bands. Man, after all these years I just keep coming back to their songs. They have this ability to transport you to some mystical place or something. And this one, friends, is another masterpiece. Tommy's voice is out of this world! Bravo again, Kamelot!
This is a really promising start to the upcoming album! I feel like it has more energy and variety than the stuff from Shadow Theory. Tommy is pushing himself more than the last couple albums as well. I'm hyped!
YOU DID **NOT** JUST MAKE A SEQUEL TO "GHOST OPERA" This song is driving me to tears. So goddamn amazing. I've been dying for new Kamelot and it's only a few weeks away. You're all amazing.
I hope you also listen to his songs with Seventh Wonder. He writes and/or co-writes melodies and lyrics for both bands. I believe I also heard him say he plays bass, drums and keys. He has said in an interview he sees music in color and lines. That means he uses multiple senses when it comes to writing/singing music. He is amazing. What a voice and talent.
[Verse 1] It was cold the day they found you by the river Broken dreams had turned to ice upon your cheek It was cold the day I swore Until my dying breath I'd be give my life to heal those broken dreams [Pre-Chorus] I've waited Longed for the day To show you To take you away [Chorus] Rise to the queen of the symphony Watch her step into the light Surrender your heart to the melody Let it take flight She'll sing to you The opus of the night [Verse 2] Trembling steps into a world she had forgotten Dusty roses on a royal velvet seat And the letter in her name Brings her back again Familiar the notes upon the sheet [Pre-Chorus] I've waited Longed for the day Seduce me Take me away [Chorus] Rise to the queen of the symphony Watch her step into the light Surrender your heart to the melody Let it take flight She'll sing to you The opus of the night [Instrumental Break] [Bridge] A dark silhouette Lingering age old desperation Reviving grand nostalgia Come shivers of pure admiration [Pre-Chorus] Close your eyes Now let your emotions take flight Goddess in white [Chorus] Rise to the queen of the symphony Watch her step into the light Surrender your heart to the melody Let it take flight She'll sing to you The opus of the night [Post-Chorus] One last encore for the queen of the stage One final bow for the old prima donna [Outro] I sing to you The opus of the night
When people say it didn't die, I immediately know they started listening after he left lol. It's just not even remotely the same quality. Tommy is just not even close. Who does "we will rock you" chants at a metal show?! Unfortunately the whole genre is trending in a lackluster direction so at least Kamelot will be among friends.
He is incredible regardless of what he sings. Have you listened to Against the Grain (acoustic version) and Beyond Today by Seventh Wonder? They both showcase his voice. The inflections in his voice say it all and his pitch always seems perfect. He has stated he sings to express emotion and get a message across. He is one of the best singers in any form of rock as far as I am concerned and I am a 74 year old who really hasn't cared for power rock or progressive metal music in the past.
I like to write poetry, mainly listening to Kamelot, I wrote a ghost opera poem, only in Portuguese (I'll try to adapt it to English as soon as possible) and now I have this other masterpiece to inspire me, simply amazing
This is mad good! Lyrics, musicality, everything! Also, the references to the Ghost Opera are very welcome and sound great. I’m SO addicted to this song!
Whether in terms of the construction of an album, the composition, the writing and the visual, in my opinion there is nothing above Kamelot... And this voice that transports us, what a voice!
Masterpiece! They're not symphonic metal, they're not power metal, they're not progressive metal.... They're all well mixed in their own style! Amazing! Beeing a Kamelot fan for years and the new songs always surprise me! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻 See you e one week! In Portugal! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Ghost Opera vibes and I love it! One More Flag on the Ground requires a few listen for me to like it but this song made me fell in love in the first listen. And I did not expect an ending like that on the 5:12 mark. What a song!
Super encouraging start to the new album! It has more power and energy than any of the stuff from Shadow Theory in my humble opinion. Really hyped now!
Tommy's little gasp at the end of Opus Of The Night shows what attention to detail goes into the songs. Tommy of course is incredible. I really love it when he sings ballads, whether from Kamelot or Seventh Wonder. If you haven't listened to Seventh Wonder yet, you need to. Tommy's voice really soars in the melodies. I prefer their music to Kamelot's. Are you aware he is working toward doing a solo (possibly acoustic) album? Can't wait.
Hard to break the silence having hit by this song. Hard to say anything on this. I think this is more than anyone might ever expected even from Kamelot! A song which is incomparably better than the first single of their new album, wasn't bad at all. This one should be given 5000 likes / hour not each day!
This song is at least 10 times better than "One more flag in the ground". A new Masterpiece that both written in the style and continues the story of Ghost Opera. The song is so strong, so addictive, so heart stopping that I guess no any rivalry would be able to compete with it in the comming months. Tommy sings the stars out of the sky!
Happy Valentine's Day Kamelot! Thank you for this gorgeous song, it's so moving. The instrumentals are stunning, Tommy's voice really infuses the song with so much emotion, and the lyrics paint such a vivid image.
Guys. Seriously. I almost drowned my phone. So many tears of joy and pure bliss... How can you have the ability to speak directly to my soul like this?! Am I that transparent? Wow. This new and improved GO aced it in so many levels...I wish I could put into words how I'm feeling right now, but I simply can't.
Suuper cool strings over here. A bit more symphonic than regular Kamelot stuff, totally loved it. The vocal melody in the chorus reminds me of Veil of elysium. Tommy's voice is absolutely beautiful (it alwasy is), specially at the end, with that dramatic angelic touch he added
You can never ever go wrong with Kamelot or Tina Guo but when you put these two forces together on one track, you get an unbeatable combination and they sound fantastic. I am more than ready for The Awakening. LET'S GOOOO!!!!!!
Ghost Opera. Resurrection.
This song is like a sequel to to Ghost Oprea
I had the same feeling when I heard the intro of the song!!
That’s freakin awesome!! 10/10
Yes!!!!!
I read somewhere that it's a sequel to ghost opera
That's exactly what I thought as well!
Welcome all to curtain call... rise to the queen of the symphony! ;)
How can a band still be so Amazing after so many years? Thanks Kamelot !
Like Videl from DBZ!! 🐉
That's the question 💯🎸🎤
In the video description they say this is a continuation of a brooding story from 15 years ago, the year ghost opera came out. So for all those asking if this is a sequel, is sure as heck is and i loved every second of it
Perfect blend between Ghost Opera and Veil of Elysium.
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant ...
THIS is the Kamelot I fell in love with ears ago! Really missed their older style...
This new track is awesome! At 1:57 I can hear the melody of "Welcome all to curtain call..." from Ghost Opera! Such a gorgeous callback!
Same time signature/speed as well :D
@@TheRogueDM And key signature, I think!
A friend introduced me to Kamelot back in 2003, when I was 15. It helped me get through some rough patches in adolescence & thus became one of my favorite bands. OMG. Ghost Opera meets Veil of Elysium! I cannot believe how amazing this is
This is a really promising start to the upcoming album! I feel like it has more energy and variety than the stuff from Shadow Theory. Tommy is pushing himself more than the last couple albums as well. I'm hyped!
My thoughts exactly
YOU DID **NOT** JUST MAKE A SEQUEL TO "GHOST OPERA"
This song is driving me to tears. So goddamn amazing. I've been dying for new Kamelot and it's only a few weeks away. You're all amazing.
I simultaneously hear their old and new sound, and it's a masterful blend 🔥What a progression!
Tommy's whole vocal is just❤🔥
I hope you also listen to his songs with Seventh Wonder. He writes and/or co-writes melodies and lyrics for both bands. I believe I also heard him say he plays bass, drums and keys. He has said in an interview he sees music in color and lines. That means he uses multiple senses when it comes to writing/singing music. He is amazing. What a voice and talent.
This is everything I've ever wanted in a Kamelot song, it genuinely might be my favorite song in their whole catalog.
The instrumental in this song is insane, so many layers. And Tommy's voice??? I can't even. Amazing is all I can say
This might be the best that Tommy's voice has sounded since joining Kamelot. He's really pushing himself this time and it's awesome!
The most beautiful song ever. Such a romantic goth story. I'm in love💖💖
A return to that old Kamelot sound -- AMAZING!!
I love that they briefly inserted the melody of Ghost Opera at 3:05
[Verse 1]
It was cold the day they found you by the river
Broken dreams had turned to ice upon your cheek
It was cold the day I swore
Until my dying breath
I'd be give my life to heal those broken dreams
[Pre-Chorus]
I've waited
Longed for the day
To show you
To take you away
[Chorus]
Rise to the queen of the symphony
Watch her step into the light
Surrender your heart to the melody
Let it take flight
She'll sing to you
The opus of the night
[Verse 2]
Trembling steps into a world she had forgotten
Dusty roses on a royal velvet seat
And the letter in her name
Brings her back again
Familiar the notes upon the sheet
[Pre-Chorus]
I've waited
Longed for the day
Seduce me
Take me away
[Chorus]
Rise to the queen of the symphony
Watch her step into the light
Surrender your heart to the melody
Let it take flight
She'll sing to you
The opus of the night
[Instrumental Break]
[Bridge]
A dark silhouette
Lingering age old desperation
Reviving grand nostalgia
Come shivers of pure admiration
[Pre-Chorus]
Close your eyes
Now let your emotions take flight
Goddess in white
[Chorus]
Rise to the queen of the symphony
Watch her step into the light
Surrender your heart to the melody
Let it take flight
She'll sing to you
The opus of the night
[Post-Chorus]
One last encore for the queen of the stage
One final bow for the old prima donna
[Outro]
I sing to you
The opus of the night
Been listening to Kamelot for about 15 years. Still get chills from their music. Absolute legends.
What can I say after listening to this? My love for Kamelot's music is endless. 2008 vibes in this song. Refreshing and beautiful
This reminds me SO much of Ghost Opera. It's -SO- good. By far, one of the best Tommy Era songs yet, and we've had some absolute bangers.
The natural evolution of the good old 'Ghost Opera'.
A catchy, dark and melodic opus. Kamelot at its best🎶
When some people say Kamelot died after Roy left the band, show this song and tell them how wrong they are.
Masterpiece, beautiful and powerfull song.
THIS. This is the Kamelot style I've been missing. Just brilliant. ♡
Sounds like a perfect fusion of Kamelot and Seventh Wonder.
Tommy is really doing a good job here!
The emotion in Tommy’s voice right at the end, unbelievable!👏
I like to write poetry, mainly listening to Kamelot, I wrote a ghost opera poem, only in Portuguese (I'll try to adapt it to English as soon as possible) and now I have this other masterpiece to inspire me, simply amazing
Please link it here when you you finish the English translation! 🙏🥺
This is mad good! Lyrics, musicality, everything! Also, the references to the Ghost Opera are very welcome and sound great. I’m SO addicted to this song!
It's such a wonderful reference to the album that got me listening in 07. I love this shit. And it's got Tina in it, and she's always a win.
Wow the lyrics definitely have a Phantom of the Opera/Christine and the Angel of Music love story feel to it. I'm living for it 💜
What a crescendo of gratitude... This is my song! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now finally a song who reminds me of the old Kamelot
Whether in terms of the construction of an album, the composition, the writing and the visual, in my opinion there is nothing above Kamelot... And this voice that transports us, what a voice!
Kamelot --- Kings of metal!
This song is phenomenal, the album is definitely going to be an absolute banger.
What powerful music. Kamelot NEVER lets me down. I'm really happy. Rescuing the elements that are the essence of Kamelot
Yep, it's Kamelot.
I'm really surprised on how good this is! Amazing song with the deep essence of Kamelot! That music is gonna be amazing to listen to it live.
Tommy is not of this planet! His voice is simply "INCREDIBLE!"
One of the best bands I've ever seen perform live!
Holy shit. Absolutely fantastic.
The sound of Kamelot Ive missed so dearly.
A Kamelot song is not something you just listen to, it takes you on a journey. All these years later still delivering \m/!
It's always a journey with Kamelot! Your description is perfect!!!
My heart can't bear this piece of art! The orchestration, the guitars, the bass, the drums, Tina's cello and Tommy's voice! I'm in love!
Classic Kamelot is all we need
Strong Ghost Opera vibes!! I fucking love it!!
you have entered the world of K A M E L O T ..
A sequel to my favorite kamelot song! Hell yah! Sounds incredible
Holy shuuuts guys, that ending 😍🤩🤩
When do you know that a song is good? When you have goosebumbs on you entire body for the full song.
Wow! Excellent song! I love those typical Kamelot melodies with Karevik's wonderful voice. I love it!!!
Masterpiece! They're not symphonic metal, they're not power metal, they're not progressive metal.... They're all well mixed in their own style! Amazing!
Beeing a Kamelot fan for years and the new songs always surprise me! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
See you e one week! In Portugal! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Finally real kamelot are back with Amazing sounds and voices!!❤

Welcome back Kamelot! You have surely be missed!!
~1,5 years after the release of their latest album I tend to say this Majestic band is still improving!!!
Whoever mixed this should get a raise!

Perfect piece of music, can't wait for upcoming concert in Warsaw, see u there.
Hard to break the silence having hit by this song. Hard to say anything on this. I think this is more than anyone might ever expected even from Kamelot! A song which is incomparably better than the first single of their new album, wasn't bad at all. This one should be given 5000 likes / hour not each day!
Very (maybe intentionally) Ghost Opera Part II ?? Love it!
Two songs released and they are both amazing! The show in Brussels is going to be epic!!

This song in MY mind is the best Kamelot-song with Tommy on vocals
I've ALWAYS wanted to hear Tommy sing Ghost Opera on a studio recording. This blew away my expectations!
🔥🔥🔥🔥KAMELOT ,OTRA NUEVA HISTORIA está por comenzar nuevas sinfonías 🔥🔥🔥🔥💞
Impresionantes Coros exelente instrumental 💞🔥💞🔥💞🇲🇽
The best song of the album

This might be my new favorite song from Kamelot. Wow.
Unreal love it kicking ass!! See you in pittsburgh!!!
Kamelot showing It's still worthy of the round table, keep the amazing work 🤘🤘
Happy Valentine's Day Kamelot! Thank you for this gorgeous song, it's so moving. The instrumentals are stunning, Tommy's voice really infuses the song with so much emotion, and the lyrics paint such a vivid image.
I got goosebumps when I heard and watched the lyric video. Tommy is incredible.
Beautiful light
Kamelot and Tina Guo is a great combination!
Guys. Seriously. I almost drowned my phone. So many tears of joy and pure bliss...
How can you have the ability to speak directly to my soul like this?! Am I that transparent? Wow.
This new and improved GO aced it in so many levels...I wish I could put into words how I'm feeling right now, but I simply can't.
And also recording equipment is just so much better these days you can put so much more into

That little gasp at the end was so cool. What attention to detail.
Masterpiece! Please come to Bucharest!
Damn. Kamelot never disappoints. NEVER!
Jeez, I can't say which one is better.

This is a fun song, but Ghost Opera is a masterpiece.
Just pure symphony to my ears 🎶🎵
I can’t tell which single is better, but I do know that this is gonna be the best album of all time ❤️❤️
You can never ever go wrong with Kamelot or Tina Guo but when you put these two forces together on one track, you get an unbeatable combination and they sound fantastic. I am more than ready for The Awakening. LET'S GOOOO!!!!!!
Magnífica canción!!!!🎼🎶💖👏👏👏
♥️♥️ was able to attend a Kamelot concert - one of the best ever ♥️♥️
Another masterpiece inspiring to all musicians who enjoy this genre.
It is clearly a sequel to "Ghost Opera" song. Masterpiece!
