This game is so bizarre... but the bosses are insanely well designed. While very difficult they have clear indications of when they are attacking. I've never seen a no-damage showcase of this game, so I wanted to give it a go. Also someone asked for a 2D Sonic game speedrun the other day, so Enjoy. :p P.S. There are some cutscenes were you always get hit, so these don't count as it's not gameplay related - like 2:46.
This game really is at it's best when it really magnifies the scale and scope of things: Sonic's blazing fast speed, Eggman's deadly machines, the raw power of the Chaos Emeralds. I wish I could see something that could really match that unbeatable feeling someday.
You should try this ROMHACK called 'Sonic Boom'. It has more or so the same feeling as this game, and a really cool third act. It even has a amplified Sonic which is so fast it can run the maximum Sonic 2 stage size in 20 seconds lmao.

I think the only criticism that I have of this game is the music, it’s a bit chaotic and out of place (offbeat sometimes), but overall, it is a very well made boss-rush game! (We don’t talk about the ending tho, lmaoo!)🗿💀
