From 17:10 to 18:22: This was one of the coolest, most mellow pieces in all of 1960s cartoon scoring EVER. It sets a mood of UTTER CHILL. Introspective. That laid-back, feet-up, nestled-in-warmth first-glass-of-wine moment.. when the outside world disappeared for a minute and all that was there was this music.. and you. Hoyt Curtin earned his COOL-OUT badge with this one. 😎

@@CartoonCade Thx! I got some inspirations from episodes of the series itself, the moods of each piece, plus background music used in the dvd special features. There was definitely a consistency in certain music cues being associated with specific characters or activities plus the Gershwin-like episode intros and exuberant finales, etc. Noticed also during the series that other Hoyt Curtin cues had been brought in from his earlier works like “Loopy de Loop” and of course some of those, as well as the “Top Cat” cues, could be detected in “The Flintstones” and other shows.
@@anthonysimpsonanygoround8749 Well you're definitely well-versed in Top Cat and H-B for that matter! It's nice to see stuff like this pop up from time to time!

You know, you've been kinda edgy lately." Jane: "I have not. And slow down. You're going too fast." George: "Too fast? We're only doing 2500 miles an hour. Relax, Janey. (chuckles) What are you, anyway? My co-pilot?" Jane: "The way you drive, you could use one." George: "There, you see? That's the way you've been acting all week. Snapping everybody's head off. Edgy, nervous, short-tempered. That's why I'll feel better after you see Dr. McGravity." Jane: "Maybe you should see Dr. McGravity." George: "Oh, boy. A little more of this and I will need a checkup."
16:20-17:11 Chief Double Q: "And that's your assignment, Secret Squirrel. Bring in the notorious enemy agent known only as Yellow Pinkie. You got all that?" Secret Squirrel: "Of course. Our target lies a few miles out to sea." Morocco Mole: "Roger."

This is great! For me Top Cat is an essential part of a NYC era, (and my life) and the music was such a key part of the series.
11:19 The music that Boomerang used for the Top Cat bumpers. And 12:35 for the Block bumpers.
