I left my AK47 in Nicaragua, lived more than 2 yrs as refugee and just before Honduras deport me and my other two brothers back to Nicaragua in that right moment Australia open the doors for us. We are living our life in this great country ( the best) I graduated from Technical Collage, I married a Nicaraguan sweetheart, we have 3 kids and 2 grand daughters. 🤣🤣Sorry, we weren't clear about that. The tongue twister was the street that we were on, Calle Real Xalteva. The city's name is Granada, even a gringo like me can pronounce that one! Nicaragua took us a bit of time to master as well, for some reason we were saying Nicaragra. We blame it on our aussie accents!
They are very cute! The colonial houses look colourful yet unassuming from the outside, but when you step through the doors you are transported to another world! Most homes here have gardens that are the centre piece of the home and it's amazing to experience.
Wow, this is a long video but it's very informative. I'm sure you guys did a lot of research and effort doing this video. This place is large, I guess you spent around more than an hour to explore? How about the lock down there? It seems that everything is under controlled?
Hi, thanks for watching! Granada is not as big as you would expect. It took us around 15min to walk through the main parts of the city and it is another 10min walk down to the Lake (the biggest in Central America!). There have been no lockdowns in Nicaragua, however there is mask wearing. Yes, I believe Nicaragua has been relatively lucky in that it is not densely populated, is a young population and so on world standards has not been impacted heavily by covid. We count ourselves lucky to be stuck here!
Thanks! It is hard to gauge what is happening with Covid. Granada cases have appeared to have been low throughout the pandemic and I read a couple of days ago that local doctors have seen cases drop off a lot in recent weeks. However, I also read that it appears that in other cities there appears to be a resurgence.

I like your b-roll on the map showing your path. Since you mentioned the coming hurricane, it gave a weird surreal feeling (in a good way.) I think your Spanish accent is doing very well. I can tell you put in effort for that.
Masks are not mandatory outside, we are just taking precautions. About 50pc of people here wear masks outside. Masks are mandatory in some businesses like the supermarkets. Thanks for your question and for watching!

@@RAMAKAVYA we met a massage therapist who was working at Eden on the Chocolata in San Juan del Sur. I'd suggest you contact that hotel and get their thoughts. At the moment there's hardly any tourists here, so it would be hard to get much work.

Thanks! It is hard to gauge what is happening with Covid. Granada cases have appeared to have been low throughout the pandemic and I read a couple of days ago that local doctors have seen cases drop off a lot in recent weeks. However, I also read that it appears that in other cities there appears to be a resurgence.

Masks are not mandatory outside, we are just taking precautions. About 50pc of people here wear masks outside. Masks are mandatory in some businesses like the supermarkets. Thanks for your question and for watching!

@@RAMAKAVYA we met a massage therapist who was working at Eden on the Chocolata in San Juan del Sur. I'd suggest you contact that hotel and get their thoughts. At the moment there's hardly any tourists here, so it would be hard to get much work.

Nicaragua hasn't had many tourists lately due to the pandemic, so that may be why it's so empty during the day. If you watch our video on La Purisima you can see how busy it is at night for a festival.
