The circle and cross buttons being swapped is just one of the quirks of the Japanese model. That's a hardware button swap with no way to change it. It has been like that there since the ps1 controller.
Yep it’s because Circle means Yes/Correct/Maru and X means No/Incorrect/Batsu. Japanese kids have their work marked by teachers using those symbols, so it’s ingrained in them from a young age
Ahhh Nick this baby is still a CERTIFIED GEM! Imo this is the TRUE OG MEDIA MULTITASKER ALL IN ONE POCKETABLE Portable Device! Plus it came out 2-3 yrs (japan 2004 release) BEFORE the revolutionary iPhone+iPod Touch. I also first came in contact with Digital Piracy (not stealing BUT Sharing+Preservation it is) and PSP had all kinds of Media I tested it on and they almost all worked flawlessly. Movies/Series/Anime Vids & Music Audio Files: Converted with Open Subtitles and it was perfect! Now Books/Comics/Mangas/Magazines: Flawed but I still made do with the [] button to zoom and move the pages around from corner to corner. Otherwise this was my Netbook (Laptops were still too bulky and heavy to bring outside back then) companion until I eventually got a much later version of the iPod Touch along with the very affordable iPad Mini Gen 1. Keep this bundle of joys coming! Long Live Ahead of their time Electronics.
I remember having to sellotape The Wi-Fi switch while playing monster Hunter freedom with some buddies as we'd be halfway through a hunt and because the Wi-Fi switch was next to your left hand it was very easy to bump it and lose connection 😂
I love the 1000 the most of all psp , it’s the best looking and the OG of them all , on top of the love handles. The battery is always fat bij the 1000 model. Also above the screen is a speaker. Compared to the 2000 or 3000 the 1000 feels way more supreme and way more solid. For me the 1000 is the best I have a couple of them included my first one ever ❤
My parents got me a PSP-1000 for christmas back when I was about 5 years old or so. Remember absolutely loving it as a kid and loved playing Lego Star Wars II on it. Great video to go down memory lane for me!
This was a video I had originally uploaded on my gaming channel but I decided to move it over here. Enjoy!

Nice video bro
PPSSPP is SOO good I just can't bring myself to buy a PSP. Maybe if I get it super cheap.

The PSP was so ahead of it's time. Still looks like a product that came out last week! Thanks for watching brother!
