  • Under the command of #IFD Special Ops Dive Commander Bryan Fleck and in partnership with #DNR, #IEMS and #MESA, IFD Tactical Rescue Dive Teams 7 & 14, conducted real world training scenarios at Eagle Creek Reservoir this week across all 3 shifts. 7's in the AM 14's in the PM.
The training scenarios involved the following situations: a car into the water with a "family" on board, an entangled DNR rescue diver, an IFD diver, unconscious in the water resulting in cardiac arrest and issues with "witnesses" providing conflicting information or being disruptive to the point they became an additional concern within an already layered incident. Crews successfully adapted to unexpected malfunctioning equipment & last minute personnel shortages also very possible in a real world situation.
The crews were given no information prior to their "dispatch" and were responsible for mitigating the training as they would an actual incident. After which a post training review provided valuable lessons learned, reminders and opportunities for discussion on how to engage resources more effectively and efficiently.
The pictures and video are of the A Shift - both Stations 7 & 14 during their shift on Monday.
#TrainingMatters and well done by all involved.
