Ukrainian Servicemen playing AMAZING music in the bay of #IFD Station 7 tonight was definitely not on our 2024 Bingo Card. Members of Ukrainian Cultural Forces, part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stopped by the station and asked if they could include a stop here as part of their 40 day Gratitude to America thank you tour. Of course we said yes.
"Professional artists before the war, now active duty soldiers, Cultural Forces presents a wide variety of music, from Ukrainian and world classics to covers of popular hits. Most of these artists fought in some of the fiercest battles of the war. After recovering from injuries, they get back to playing music." The tour cities include Washington D.C., New York, Cleveland, Detroit, Kalamazoo, Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Dallas.
Through culture and arts the organization provides for educational, moral and psychological support of the Armed and Security Forces.
