I used 12v to 24v converter. The output side I put a female barrel connector to fit the starlink cable supplied with the mini. On the input side I put on power poles and hooked it to a 100amp hour LIFPO4 battery. It works great and you still have the original cable and power supply if 110v is available. The 100 amp hour battery will run the startlink mini for 60+ hours.
Yeah I can see 24v travelling over 15ft okay. That’s very reasonable. We also just started making these adapters too, 12->36v in a very small plug that as you say just replaces the AC brick, so you can use either one on factory cable.
If you want to be safe, 100W around 10AWG, assume 8.5a @ 12V. I think 12AWG could work, but if your going to the trouble, go the next step is always our thinking.
Does the PD plug you sell need to be turned on for each use, or is it automatically turned on as long as it is receiving power in the proper range? I want to mount this on the top of my van (in a small pecan case), and I already have 12 volt up top with an on/off switch inside the van.
Your best to buy the 3 meter cable we sell, that has the double gasket starlink mini connector that terminated at a cigarette socket end - if you need Anderson we also supply it in that. As long as power is supplied it will power up the mini.
Thanks for explaining this procedure very Informative
Very helpful for this ole guy trying to figure out Starlink. Thank you. 👍

What gauge wire for 15 meter cable?
