    Regarding if the girls will play sports, none of us really know if they want to as we don’t have that inside information. But I sincerely hope if they do show an interest, Alyssa and John encourage them. Every child, boy or girl, posses their own interests, talents, etc, and that should always be nurtured in youth. It helps to build one’s confidence & identity.

      @@maryleve4793yeah but some kids are thumb and fingers suckers. Plus it was bedtime which is why she most likely had the paci plus it’s also comforting if kids have teething issues like Alyssa said they are trying to get away from the paci by not letting her have all day long.
      Plus it’s better to let the kids decide when to get up the paci so you will know when the kid is ready certain kids will suck on their thumbs and fingers which is a lot more harder to take away from a kid she is only 2. A lot of kids will be ready to get rid of a paci by the time they are 3. Certain kids could be avoiding sucking on their thumbs and fingers by keeping the paci in their mouth better for them to suck on the paci then their thumbs and fingers. Kids all grow up differently. Some kids are still learning Maci is only 2 years old. Plus better to get the kids away from the paci kind of more slowly so they will be get use to not having it.

And better to do a more slower approach of getting rid of the paci when the kid is still little she get rid of it when she’s ready Aka when she’s use to not having it. Plus right now she only gets it at mainly nap time or sleep time anyway she didn’t have it in her mouth all day long. Certain kids get rid of the paci when they are like 3. She’s only 2 right now. Your football playing nephew will no doubt a heart breaker when he's older. Rhett looks so much like Lexie to me. Love how John dotes on his baby boy, "Buddy" as well as his girls. I bet your thinking hard about family Xmas pj's and Halloween costumes them. I vote Macys is Mario! Allie is just a golden girl! Responsible, avid reader, growing up great friends with her boy cousin and other cousin her bestie, ballet & a business leader. Love how she dotes on Ms. Macy, Zoey so cute. Is he a people pleaser? Has a smile and dimples for all. and my favorite...Macy!!! The way she says "Yes", walks to her own drum, and so funny! Team activities, IMO really helps with playing, working and communicating. You & John co-parent as a team. If you worked, I could see you as a fantastic project manager (not constructing) industry) This job commands a big salary in the way you organize, plan, run that house well - everything really. You give yourself grace when you need it and move forward. This reads like a love letter, but wide wake at the hospital bored, lol. You & John show gratitude hard work, Jesus, family have what they have, their life priorities, and how they work together in tough times. Diligent and hardworking people! ☕🍕🍕 Bye! P.s. All my kiddos have been very attached to the Paci and didn't totally drop it until 3. A friend of mine encourages her kids to drop it but allows the kids to choose because it's such a big comfort so one of her had if at night until 4 and they are fine. Sometimes we just do what we gotta do as mom's! You're an awesome mom and she won't have it forever!

    • @ATiredMom
      @ATiredMom 9 місяців тому +1

      @@nancyfarkas3592 I hear ya. I've actually never had a ped really care about it bc mine have all talked well early and mainly use it at night. All my kids needed it the most around 1. Between all the teeth coming in, bumps and bruises... it's the most comforting then. Life is short and for a lot of us, the benefit outways the cost to just keep it until they are a bit older. I sucked my fingers and have witnessed many family members who were finger and thumb suckers and you can't take those away and it's way worse. Most kids don't stop until after 6 or older. I also have seen a child have paci taken very young and they started thumb sucking after. This is the main reason I pushed to get my kiddos to take a paci. Trying to stop finger or thumb sucking is so much more traumatic and even embarrassing for the kid. I have personal experience. There can be the best way teeth wise, but then there's what he best emotionally or just what a family can cope with at the time.

    It’s great that you guys take the girls to support their cousins at their various sports, but I’m just wondering if you’re going to sign the girls up for sports so they get to play as well? I’m sure they’d love to be on a team. Kids learn valuable skills playing sports. The girls are old enough for soccer, t-ball, gymnastics, dance, etc, I’m sure they’d love it all. It’s best to start kids in sports young so they can develop their talent, plus learn basic endurance & coordination. It’d be great to see the kids try something.

    The rule I had for pacifiers was that once they were walking it stayed in their crib/bed and they had it in the car seat. If we were out at nap time I would give it to them in the stroller to nap. They all had it until they were about 4 and then gave it up.
    I’m a nanny now and I have the same rule for the kiddos I watch.

And maci is only 2 certain kids will get rid of the paci by age 3. She’s still little plus she give up the paci when she’s use to not having it since she mainly only has it at nighttime and she doesn’t cry when it’s taken away from her. She just most likely has a comfort reason for having it. They are slowly trying to get her away from the paci anyway. Everyone is different

    I had a thumb sucker and a passi baby. I finally decided it was time to chuck the passi since it was starting to shift her teeth. So the Passos disappeared. At bedtime she wanted it. She asked me if I knew where it was. I said I can’t tell you but if you find it you can sleep with it. Of course she didn’t find it. She whimpered a bit but the was the end of the passi! I think it was easy because she had a security blanket and that was her best friend! Lol

      @@ruthfoss8463 Iam not all parents have to wait just that your idea of taking it away super quickly doesn’t work for everyone since kids have to get use to not having something and for certain kids it’s better to wait until they are ready to give something up since kids have comfort reasons for certain stuff. Like sucking on paci keeps them from sucking stuff that doesn’t go in the mouth.

    Parents nowadays they just give in to whatever comes easy for them, when a kid wants something they just give it to them, instead of telling them know and explaining why they cannot have it, they just give, that's real good parenting, but that's how this generation works with kids 🤔 let them do what they want and give them what they want, no trying to teach them anyting, 🤔 that is what I have seen a lot of, WOW now why didn't I think of that when I raise my five kids 🤔 just saying, not trying to be mean,🌞 but sometimes you just have to say it, 😊 be safe
