This tells me that when you are watching something you don't pay attention , Katie and Travis were just joking around they did not give Hailey any honey , stop making them sound like bad parents , these two are amazing parents ❤❤

Some people just can't pay any attention and then they just have to freak out!!
Suggestion from a Mom of 4 - save your bottle feeding for daytime when you can afford to wait for it to warm up and nurse at night. Don't turn on any lights, change Hailey, not talking to her and quietly nurse her, burb her and put her back in her bassinet. Any lights or interactions will only completely wake her up, stimulate her and she won't go back to sleep quickly. It'll work 8 times out of 10. Sweet nighttimes!
We nursed at night and supplemented during the day. I pumped with a hands free bra while bottle feeding to protect my supply. Your hormones are made to help you sleep better after nursing as well .
As a Mom of 4 I AGREE 10000000%.

My baby is 40! But he woke up just like Hailey. Dr. said to add baby rice to her bottle. He slept like an Angel.

Travis you are doing an amazing job being Hailey's dad, mistakes are all part of it and the fact you are willing to do everything for her is admirable. She is such an angel indeed 💓

My (unsolicited) advice with feedings at night is keep lights off, get a nightlight if needed to see, and don’t do things that encourage her to stay awake. The calmer the feeding is the more relaxed she’ll be and she’ll easier to fall back asleep. This is something I learned with my newborn that helped a lot.
Especially as they get a little older, I don't even look at or talk to them.

that just sounded funny. I was picturing them much later age 6 or 7. I get you though. Not long after my son could pull up, stand up in his crib, one morning I woke up to my son in bed with us. I asked my husband if he put him in bed. He assured me no he did not. But it kept happening. I would just carry him back and put him back in his bed.
But in all reality it may have just been the ghost that lived in his room bringing him into our bed. Ha.
Best thing for milk supply is to never skip a feed. Make sure you pump for every bottle you feed. That plus TONS of water, brewers yeast pills, and oats!!
You really need a sling or carrier. Baby wearing allows Hailey the contact she needs and allows mom or dad to be able to get things done!

Once you’ve had a child they’re not yours for just 18 years, they’re yours for life because they will always need you!
Everybody wants kids until u have to raise them
I’m a Lactation Consultant. Ideally mom should not skip any feedings if she wants to protect her milk supply. If the baby gets a bottle, she should be pumping during that time. This is because breastmilk supply works on supply and demand. If it’s feeding time, and mom does not nurse or pump, that sends a message to the brain that she has too much milk, and it cuts back on production. That being said, missing a feeding once in a blue moon probably won’t hurt anything I wouldn’t do it every day.
I think the fear of not knowing how much she's actually eating is making her more likely to give her bottles. It will work out. Fed is best....as we all know. Baby is thriving and doing great and Mom and Dad are chill.
@@beethistlewinery6682 you know by how many pees and poos in 24 hrs. And it would be a shame if she lost her milk because no one told her. Personally I don’t care if she breastfeeds or not. But she should make whatever choice she makes fully informed.

I just want to say that it has been a joy watching y'all become parents. Travis is so in love and watching him be so nervous at the thought of a newborn (which I totally understand.....been there) to always smiling and telling Hailey how much he loves her. The best is when he keeps saying look at how cute she is....she's so beautiful.....It's just so amazing to watch. Y'all are doing a great job!!

A baby crying in church is a beautiful sound!
When my daughter was born she was an amazing baby (and still is) but she also started getting fussy weeks after birth and it was mainly because of the food I was eating. There are surprisingly a lot of foods that cause our babies to have gassy tummies from our milk. Hope this was helpful 🥰 Hailey is so precious!
She is precious. Right now she looks just like her daddy for sure. I love she is so alert.
My first, I had a very difficult delivery with extensive 3rd degree tears that took two doctors over two hours to sew up, and me a year to fully heal.
The babe catnapped 15 minutes out of every hour around the clock for the first six months. So, no such thing as sleep.
He projectile vomited, protectile pooped, and was colicky. I wore bath sheets to burp him because he would soak the whole thing with one burp.
It was quite the introduction to motherhood!
I remember a little old lady coming up to me during that time and telling me to "treasure the season because it was the best time of my life" 😱 ... and I thought if it gets any "better", I'll die! Lol 🤪😭🤪
All our other babies were so much easier in comparison, thank God!

I know people have mentioned before that Hailey looks like Travis’s mom, and she really does! I know we’re going to see Bates resemblances before too long, but I think it’s so sweet that we can see her grandmother to start with. Hailey is such a beautiful, sweet and lovable baby and she has the most precious parents! I look forward to seeing your little family every week now. 💘😇💘

Yes, we liked this 24 in the life...video. Travis coming to realization of the limits to perfectionism is inspiring. Inspiring to forgive... first oneself and probably then forgiving others more easily... Parenting is the ultimate effort and reward.
She is so so cute!!! There is a wonder week at 8 weeks old! Its one of the developmental stages and they get really fussy during it! There is an amazing app you can get that shows you when they will go through a wonder week and what to expect during that leap and gives you lots of info. It was SO helpful for me when I had babies, I knew when they were going to be really fussy and it gave me peace of mind, and also when to look forward to the calmer phases!!

"Seed" is GREAT. I had some very difficult issues and since taking seed it has stopped. IBS, heartburn, etc. Haley is an absolute doll, you both are such great parents. Just enjoy each moment. Time goes by before you know it.
