    I was searching for this song & found this amazing history & truly God breathed words. They resonate with my whole being & understanding of how God wants us to feel about one another. Christmas blessings! Praising God for sending His Son!

    "Peace on Earth, goodwill towards men!"
    Lest we should forget we should all give thanks to those brothers and sisters, family members, neighbors, citizens of our U.S. and her Allies who won't be home for Christmas or these Holidays in general. Thank you all for your service.

      The song was arranged by a contemporary Christian band named Casting Crowns. Their arrangement is based off an older hymn of the same name.

    I am a member of the Magic Valley Chorale. The director found this video and would love to share it at our concert while we sing this song. Is that a possibility? You did an amazing job on this!! It would add so much to our performance!

    His wife's dress caught fire and burnt her alive?

    • @MeledieKnopf
      @MeledieKnopf Рік тому +2

      Yes. She was standing near the fire stirring the pot that had been cooking over the open flame, which at that time, was in an open fireplace inside the home. As I recall, she got too close to the flame and her dress caught fire. Her husband tried to put it out quickly, but her burns were too severe, and pass away. Unfortunately, the dresses of that era were as such that they too easily caught fire on too many women.

    Hello,
    I would like to ask permission to use this video in our services and in our online live stream. We would use the narration portion of the video and then play the song live. Thank you for your consideration.

    I wanted to write to ask for your permission to use this fantastic video. I'd love to be able to post this (with attribution, of course) for Christmas on the blog for my documentary (www.invalidcorpsfilm.com). It'd be a post under the "Latest News" section.

    This is one reason we don't remove monuments!

      This is the reason you do remove the monuments, that were erected after a war that divided the country and used to divide the country and intimidate the black people who fought and helped build this country. The ones who are so intent on keeping them are mostly white people like Trump whose families were not originating from here. They come over and want to go back to those days when white supremacy reigned.

      Don’t you get the song? Peace in earth goodwill toward men. Everyone should lay down hate, prejudice, war, jealousy, malice in order to usher in the peace that the Christ-child brought into the world. Let go of the old hatred, embrace the new peace!
