- Nobody was expecting Tsaritsyn to drop on CTE after Gamescon, but luckily DICE decided to give us a surprise. Even though Tsaritsyn is not even close in being my favorite map, but it was a joy to edit this. It was really fun and it was awesome to be little bit creative. And we're actually getting the Russian Revolution in the game, and that alone is awesome.
Tsaritsyn is a brand new snow & urban map for Battlefield 1 that is based on Russian Revolution, and it's part of Battlefield 1 "In the Name of Tsar" DLC. It features the Russian White Army and Red Army, more 5 maps and brand new 11 weapons. Map will be released in September 2017 and is available to Premium users and "In the Name of Tsar" owners.

3. Человек жил в среднем 150-190 лет. болезней не существовало кроме трудовых мозолей.
4. Если на улице споткнешься и упадешь - люди подбегали, талоны в карман засовывали, в губы целовали, предлагали выпить, породниться.
5. Зайцы и куропатки сразу на сковороду залетали.
Хлеб покупаешь - тебе еще доплачивают.
К реке страшно подойти было: налимы в котелок прыгали.
6. Дед рассказывал: люди ночью просыпались от счастливого доброго смеха. Утром все обливались ледяной водой из ведра.
7. Срок беременности составлял 4.5 месяца. Дети рождались по 12-15 килограмм с белокурыми волосами и ясными голубыми глазами и волевыми умными лицами - сразу на производство просились.
8. Вода в Волге была сладкая как патока. А Енисей состоял из тёмного пива.
9. Зимою было минус триста, все румяные ходили.
10. Ягоды росли на опушке с кота размером. Коты были с собаку, собака с корову, а корова как цех, а в цеху мужики в шахматы играли по методике Ботвинника - конём мат ставили с первого хода!

I don't know how many people have realised this but Tsaritsyn is Stalingrad. That's what it was called during the Tsarist era. Even though it's in the wrong war, they just couldn't resist including a Stalingrad map in their game. Love it.

Now we have shitty censorship of everything and internet also, shitty because it can be bypassed. Because it is not about ideology, it is about stealing state money. I think, reds could do censorship better because they LOVE it. I don't want to have only two sites available. And I don't think that perestroika could give promised winds of freedom in the end. And I don't want to eat only buckwheat because local official doesn't want to trace supplies but want a Lenin bage instead because of perfect accountability and dacha under Moscow. Though I can. I have to. The only good thing Soviet Union made - created conditions for appearance of russian punk-rock. We don't need USSR back. We need freedom. And the more the better.

Социализм - неплохая идея, но человечество еще не готово для его реализации. Он предполагает работу и рост ради других, ради общей цели, но люди в массе своей эгоистичны и не стремятся к развитию. Такова природа человека, в этом нет ничего неправильного, но это действительность, которую нельзя изменить за десятилетие и даже за поколение. Революция как обычно делалась романтиками, считавшими, что человечество готово к социализму, но реалии оказались иными и вместо вкалывания он рассвета до заката ради лучшего будущего получили ленивую массу, отсиживающую свои часы на работе ради зарплаты без желания вообще что либо делать. Получили общество, в котором нормой стало воровать у государства, ведь всё же общее, верно? Получили в общем совсем не то, что ожидали.
В социализме нет ничего плохого, однако мы еще не готовы к нему и именно в этом была главная ошибка большевиков, они переоценили человека. Я уверен, что однажды человечество сможет построить работающий социализм, но думаю не раньше, чем лет через 100 или даже больше.
Я вообще за анархию, но работающая анархия - это словно Стар Трек в живую :D О таком действительно остаётся лишь мечтать.
Ну, большевики, я думаю, просто хотели успеть раньше других, суть идеи не так важна была. А на счёт революций - ни одна и не получилась, всегда всё пойдёт через жопу. А что б работать ради общего блага, надо любить людей вообще и своё государство. Ни те, ни другие и шанса не дают на подобное. Собственно, мне не так уж и хочется, на самом деле, унавоживать своим трудом почву будущим поколениям, я хочу здесь и сейчас, ведь после меня будет жить кто-то, а не я. Все это понимают, поэтому красные идеи оставались всегда только на красивых знамёнах, в задушевных песнях и в стандартизированных речах. Да как и любые идеи, я думаю. Народу много, прекол один. Отсюда всякие ереси. Ящитаю, это всё такая-то хуйня. В пизду такую жизнь.
Любая революция делается людьми. Ленин был мечтателем, думаешь он написал все эти тома лишь ради того, что бы взять власть и жить ради себя? Я думаю у него, как и у большинства революционеров идея была превыше всего. К сожалению позже власть уходит в руки сильного, кто готов убивать. Такие люди живут, как ты и сказала лишь ради себя, поэтому после каждой революции всё и идет через зад. "Революции делаются мечтателями, а пользуются её плодами негодяй" (с) кто-то там.
Однако это лишь подтверждает тот факт, что в этом мире не так уж и мало мечтателей, готовых жить ради других. К сожалению и эгоистов достаточно.
Не отчаивайся ты так, пусть пока что не так уж умны массы, но каждый из нас всегда может построить свой собственный, маленький мир из своей мечты.
Да, это замечательно. Но я не намекал, кстати, на то, что Ленин с друзьями жулик или вроде того. Даже не знаю, как объяснить, что сказать хотел. Что-то вроде "раз не X, то уж лучше Y, чем Z" или типа того. Ну да ладно.

The city was known as Tsaritsyn from 1589-1925 when Stalin renamed it Stalingrad after himself. It was renamed again in 1961 to Volgograd as part of Nikita Khrushchev's "de-Salinization" program.

@@Journey_Awaits A big part of Khrushchev's policy was getting rid of cults of personality and the worship of the leader, so it makes sense not to name anything after himself. After destalinisation none of the Soviet leaders really had anything named after themselves.
@@dainironfoot5198 not really. In 1991 Leningrad was renamed back to Saint Petersburg, but oblast (province) is still called Leningrad.

kwazooplayingguardsman The war that turned a backwards, broken, almost defeated nation, into a superpower that won World War 2 almost singlehandedly, and went toe to toe with the United States of America.
Arise Proletariat! The war that revionists like to proclaim is proof of imperial russia's horrid "backward" state, when it was the very same government whos action gave russia a permanent hold to a half of two continents.
This revolution was the deathbell of russian superiority and made it into a north korea for 60 years, a state who's only form of global influence is its militarist behavior and nuclear arsenal.
kwazooplayingguardsman wow, so Russia was a fucking superpower? it was industrialized? it could compete with actual efficiency against the west? the people were literate? women were emancipated? people had access to social services and some form of security? seems to me like the only revisionist here is you. Russia was a backwards shithole, before it waa dragged kicking and screaming into modernity and to a superpower state. Russia under the "same government" (I presume you mean the Tsarist government) could have never gained the same level of power it had under Soviet leadership. Moscow's influence stretched from North Korea, to East Germany by the mid 20th century, the Tsarist government could have never accomplished that in 200 years, let alone the 30 it took the Soviets. I have major gripes with Stalin, the Bolsheviks and even Lenin, but don't try and spin some story that Russia was some sort great power, but then the big bad Bolsheviks came over and destroyed everything and stomped on its ashes, thus ending the beautiful pseudo-Utopian society under the Tsar. Life was much worse under the Tsar, and although the Russian proletariat was wary of the Bolsheviks (because the Bolsheviks destroyed the leftist opposition i.e Anarchists, SR revolutionaries, Mensheviks etc. and had took various anti-socialist actions post-1917) they were not willing the White Army to take back power. the reason the White's fell so quickly after the West stopped supporting them was because the White's entire existence was dependent on aid, while the Bolsheviks had the support of the Russian proletariat. despite the whole world sending aid to the White Army to fight off the Red's, they failed, because again, the people were not willing to take back the Tsar. Although there were better alternatives, Russia was better off with the way it was than with the Tsar and White's. Also the Soviets were militaristic, and had nuclear weapons, but the Americans and west weren't? America has been at war 222 times out of its 239 years of existence, and had used a nuclear weapon on a country that was going to surrender and was defeated in all sense. the Soviets were nowhere near as dangerous as the Americans were, and Soviet policy was pretty isolationist when compared to the fervently expansionist jackals in the West.

Arise Proletariat! Its amazing how the forced collectivization of the kulaks (ie the budding agricultural industrialists of russia) led to the famie that killed millions. But how could industrialists be collectivized if russia was just backward basin?
Russia was already on its way to industralization, communism just redirected the focus of the industralization to expansion and communists agendas rather than commerce and actual beneficial trade.

Planet KC, The British and US were backing up the White Army with tanks and supplies and a US Battalion that were stationed there (These were only US Military Soldiers to ever step foot on Russian soil but they never fired a shot though)
