This vlog is so peaceful! Thank you for posting so often during this time. And it’s so nice that you now have a drone! Stay safe, stay well, and God Bless
Lovely to see you two, and there's nothing more satisfying than watching a cat taking pleasure in a dust bath. You two have such a wonderful mix of whimsy and dry humor. Its great fun. Thanks for sharing yourselves with us.
Great vlog as usual. It must have been nice to move the boat and stock up in groceries. The weather looks awesome. We won’t take our freedom to move around as we please for granted. Stay healthy Hugs💕🇨🇦❤️😎👍
Fantastic aerial shots, girls. Gives the rest of us an idea of how big the locks are and why it takes so long to get through them. Hope you didn't have to queue too long at the shops. Keep healthy.
This is a perfect vlog demonstrating democracy. #1 AM and K are 100% agreed about the way (some locks) and the goal (a shop) #2 AM is 100% convinced that her plan how to do the locks is what you agreed #3 So is K but she has a litle bit different angel to the agreement so she helps out (leaving your boat at short times #4 You reached the goal and are both convinced that you made the hole trips as it was planed. #5 When your finished you boatlife you will still be AM&K but you will both have your own constituency. Love you!
Thank you so much for your video. I hope you know you bring enjoyment to so many. Even though we watch this from across the Atlantic it's amazing to think that we are all in the same boat.
Anna your cinematography has really improved over the years. You tell a story here with no words. Your artistic eye is well used in creating interesting moving shots, perspectives and audio. I also loved the cats taking a dirt roll. Stay safe, stay healthy. Cheers!
I've just subscribed to your site. I sometimes watch with my 12 year old daughter and we think you are both good role models. We hope you're both ok during these trying times. All the best.
I love little Alice and her roll of pure bliss in the dust❤️ She says how we all feel no matter what task we have that’s essential right now. Yay! We’re out of the house👍🏻
In this period of lockdown we have noticed that some of the larger birds have become quite bold in approaching us. Crows, magpies. Today I was given a present of liquid luck from heaven on my head and coat from a pigeon!
Some great footage ladies, your two cats have been bizzy look at the amount of the towpath they worn away if their dust baths. lol look forward to your next video
I think the Heron is not liking the social distancing he's probably wondering where everyone is, poor fella, thanks for your videos, I really liked the music you chose
Hi both, we met in the lane this evening (won't say where) while out exercising. You've got a good spot for the boat except it must be busy there on the towpath as it's a very popular walking, running and riding route. The other side of the bridge should be a bit quieter on the towpath. Anyway hope you haven't got cabin fever too badly yet and that this is all over sooner rather than later. Take care and pob hwyl.
Yes, a peaceful vlog, but also a rather poignant one that has the feel of what we're all going through. Many of us are not as well "within ourselves" in these strange times; fewer people are in our individual views; and much of what we do move for is out of necessity. What's left is what you give - nature, quiet, peace, and that floating feeling. Better than a vlog, women - a piece of history.
Yes, I left that bit in, because I wasn't feeling myself but nothing major to analyse just thought I'd mention it. But like you said it seems we are all a bit like that on various days.
@@TheNarrowboatExperience I'm glad you left it in. I'm always glad when you share your "humanity" with us. It's part of what makes both of you and your narrowboat experience so rich, and we so lucky to get to peek in. :)
Thanks for the wonderful vlog. Today is my birthday (70) and it made an unexpected and very welcome present. And I loved your Guard-Heron! :p Be well, ladies, until next time.
Thank you for the vlogs. I bought my little narrow boat the week before lockdown so cannot go to see her or anything. Thoroughly enjoying your vids in the meantime x
I'm glad I'm not the only one that talks to the birds and animals along my local canal!🤣 When David and Jasmine went past my stretch in Stoke on Trent they even pointed out a swan that I'm good friends with!🤣 Hence family continually quoting my reaction of "I KNOW THAT SWAN!!😲". 🤣
That was lovely girls. Beautifully taken shots, just the right speed. Gorgeous day, always a benefit, on a necessary move. Just feel a little sorry for the heron, bless him. Went up the locks with and never got a bite. Who'd be a heron😂. Keep safe vixens, and hope what's ailing you both clears up soon. xx
The Narrowboat Experience I just find it so relaxing to watch the water, boats and wildlife in this crazy time. The alternative Is to watch the depressing news. Although I did finish Zombie narrow boat comic thriller Zomboat. Thanks again for entertainment.
Like your update video! Great to see that spring is coming and the beautiful scenery! Here in northern part of Norway it's still winter with approx 1.5 meters of snow. Cross country skiing is great when the weather is fine, but I miss the boat!
I really enjoy your videos. I liked them in normal times and I like them in these self-isolating days. I like to see how others are coping. Your photography is stunning!
I'm much better thanks. the locks were actually a big stumbling block for me in a way, as I'd not done them on my own before. But it felt great in the end.
Lovely soothing filming & music, so calm & full of interesting little details, angles & light effects. Loved your new drone footage too! I hope you both soon feel better after your sunny exercise & fresh food. Take care & many thanks for keeping me cheerful & inspired in lonely lockdown. :)
Oh my gosh that was awesome. Loved seeing the heron tag along, and the icing....to see the kitties enjoying themselves! Thank you, dear ladies. Stay well.
Thanks for sharing this with us. It's interesting that we see so many herons in all the vlogs of the canal boaters. Long ago (over 40 years ago) when the canals weren't so popular (or well-maintained) I and my family were summer hire boat users. In those days it was a huge event to see a heron. Now they seem to be quite prolific.
Thank you ladies. Since I never knew about NB I am so intrigued with watching you both on the Lazy Days. All we have running around the Miami Beach area are power boats of all sizes, shapes and colors with everyone drinking and going crazy. I really like having a cocktail and just watching you go up and down the canals and its so slow and relaxing. And those two cats of yours are awesome as well. Keep it up. I am watching from Miami Lakes Florida.
Thank you sweet ladies. It's nice to see scenery other than that of my RV park. What's weird and sad to me is not seeing a bunch of people out on the towpaths on what looked like a glorious day. That and not seeing contrails up in the sky. I live near Dallas, TX, and we have to very busy airports here, and pre-virus you would see at least a couple of dozen airplanes (especially at night) either in the holding pattern, taking off, or descending to land. Now, nothing. The other night I counted 4 aircraft. Please take care and stay safe! Cheers! DonP
Thank you for another interesting video. I never thought of how far you would have to travel to get fresh food. I’ll never complain again about having to run to the store, very close to my house. The Heron was beautiful. I’ve never seen one in real life.
I used to live directly opposite a food store and would complain all the time about having to go shopping! We are just lucky that now we travel by boat instead!
Lovely to see you out and about, knowing you had to move for food what beautiful trip to the supermarket, I jump in my car drive 7 minutes get there at 8am spend as little time as possible and drive home. How I wish it would take 5 hours on a boat. Love your content ladies keep up the great work 🛥
Love the way the herring is there it looks as if it is following you hard work doing the locks doing a great job definitely got to know what you r doing this is definitely they way to see the countryside and wildlife along the way you certainly have got your exercise done today love the cats having fun on the bank stay safe see you both next time
I'm very glad the weather and locks cooperated! We have had plenty of wind this week, with several days of 30+ MPH sustained winds, and storms with 75+ MPH winds taking down plenty of trees.
The Narrowboat Experience Thank you! It’s fairly common around here in the spring, but has been getting worse the past few years as the climate shifts. (Not just an opinion - meteorological data backs it up). We’re lucky it’s just early enough the trees aren’t in full leaf yet, so less blowing down, but still plenty of weak or dead trees down, and quite a few homes with loads of shingles missing. Weather permitting I’ll likely have my drone up this weekend helping people see their roof states, sending neighbors emails of their roofs to help them with their insurance folks if needed.
just ordered a couple of your mugs. While I have my morning coffee I'll think of you girls on the canal during isolation. Here's to you both, take care!
Hi thank you once again for a great video love it when you just show the video really peaceful at times we are in at the moment mentally it's very challenging but as my dad used to say if we were ment to look back my head would of been on backwards.thank you once again for a great vlog.
hiya ladies greetings from isle of wight please take care and keep your videos coming it makes the time pass better cats are like dogs find dirt roll in it take it home then shake it out hope you can get every thing you need good luck
What lovely episode. Perfect to end my evening with. I had to do shopping during this stay at home period but my journey was not as beautiful as yours despite driving miles and miles farther just to be out of the house for longer!
Nice to see you ladies are doing well and getting on with the daily grind. We have police checkpoints here in Israel where they ask you where you are going and take your temperature. We have always had a giant gate on our village but it was never closed all day long like now. Your cell phone must be registered with the village office or you can't open the main gate. Temperature checks even at the grocery store before you can enter. Serious stuff all over the world, Stay well and keep those wonderful kitties happy, from Israel with an abundance of prayer and love.
Excellent job today, ladies. Enjoyed the drone views and music. I have come to look forward to the canal life vids on a daily basis (I follow 4 narrowboats. When there is not an up to date video, I fall back on the old ones. (Gotta get my narrowboat fix.). You both worked hard today. Thanks for your efforts.

Another beautifully calm and quiet vlog on a superb winter day. Thanks for this ladies. I love the kitties rolling in the dirt and then, presumably, bringing all that into the boat! The canal system must seem eerily empty and quiet with nobody about. I noted the ominous sign about the danger in falling - game over in those deep locks I guess. I hope you get to tell us about your shopping trip - masks and six feet apart? Take care now. John, Ontario, Canada
We have decided not to use face masks. We don't have any and couldn't wash them to keep them contamination free anyway. We are social distancing and hoping for the best
Love the birds singing. So far we still only have the winter birds here. Whiskey Jacks, Pine Grosbeaks, and Dee-Dees( You call them Tits I believe). Still have 3 feet of snow so it will be awhile before the spring migration but it is melting pretty fast.
I'm trying to work out which shop you're trying to get closer to. Knowle has a Tesco metro, an awsome bakers & the best sausages anywhere (Lashfords Gloucester sausages, in the precinct a few shops down from Tesco)
Thank you for another treat. Brings back happy memories of going up through these locks on our hire boat October 2019. The weather was perfect then too, if a little frosty first thing. I'm glad to know you are both keeping well and doing all the right things in these interesting times, I do admire your attitude to it all. You are so lucky to be on the cut right now but you make your own luck I think. I have a little question about the song played about four minutes in. It reminds me of something I can't quite remember. Can you tell me what it is please? Keep well and stay safe.
@@TheNarrowboatExperience I understand that these things cost money but with extra solar you wouldn't have to so "carefully manage the use of your laptop" and you do have the space for more panels. With more power you could upload more and make some extra coin. Just an observation. Lover your stuff ladies.
My wife and I and quite new live aboard Narrow boaters. We really struggled through Knowle locks. The wind can be a nightmare. We started early not realising volunteers would be there later in the day.

Heron was probably so used to seeing humans, and now it's so quiet he stuck around you as if to say, hey stick around. Lovely video! Cheers.
Yes, he seems very friendly and knows the gates let the fish out, so he waits for the boats. Very smart.
That was brilliant. You really do film everything beautifully and you pick such lovely music. It fits perfectly x

I'm trying to work out which shop you're trying to get closer to. Knowle has a Tesco metro, an awsome bakers & the best sausages anywhere (Lashfords Gloucester sausages, in the precinct a few shops down from Tesco)
Oh wow, thanks for the recommendations.
Hmmm it appears Lashfords aren't in Hockley Heath any more, you'll have to walk to Bentley Heath for the best sausages in the world!
Thanks for the slo-mo - seems swans have the engine at the back, just like Lazy Days!
yes, indeed. I hadn't thought of that
Hi guys, glad you two are ok and safe.
Thanks, we are
Thank you for another treat.
Theres a lot of free roof space thats just crying out for more solar ladies. And hello from Brisbane Australia (Hatton Vale).
But, if the solar you have provides what you need...does it matter that you have more space?
@@TheNarrowboatExperience I understand that these things cost money but with extra solar you wouldn't have to so "carefully manage the use of your laptop" and you do have the space for more panels. With more power you could upload more and make some extra coin. Just an observation. Lover your stuff ladies.
What a neat video and lovely cats, got the link from David over at cruising the cut. Take care and stay safe. New subscriber Greg. 👍
Awesome, thanks again to another Cruising the cut fan
My wife and I and quite new live aboard Narrow boaters. We really struggled through Knowle locks. The wind can be a nightmare. We started early not realising volunteers would be there later in the day.
We struggled the first time, it was horrible.
