- This is really our first experience with Mortal Kombat besides one of the games when we were kids. Overall the fights scenes were great and the CGI was amazing, story wasn't that great.

The character Jax has played in a lot of tv series like True Blood, The Game and currently Supergirl.

Hanzo Hasashi is Scorpion. Bi Han was the first Sub Zero. The new main character is Hanzo Hasashi's daughter's decendant.
Also there was a feud between Sub Zero's clan the Lin Kuei and Scorpion's clan Shirai Ryu for centuries.
Kano and Kabal are from the Black Dragon clan. The are kinda like terrorists and are also into lots of other dark stuff.
movie was better than i thought to be honest. Due to the low budget they had to work with, they had to cut scenes left and right to fit in their budget. Maybe in the next sequel, they get more budget to work with so we can get a better movie overall.
Mortal Kombat 1995 does a better job with story. I think they could have just made a few small changes to the story for it to work but it's like they didn't feel like spending 5 more minutes on it, lol. And Cole is not in any Mortal Kombat games which is annoying, cos they had almost a 100 characters to choose from and they write in a completely new one.
It was hard watching yall watch this... some many things yaol got wrong or incorrect.. but I get it, not everybody grew up playing and watching MK.
FYI: the main character is the new character. Kano was in the original 90s movie. And there was a tournament cause after Kung Lao died, they all came up with a plan to separate and kill everyone 1v1.. and said they'll jump sub zero together. That was the start of the tournament.

The basic story of Mortal Kombat is for years and years outworld has been trying to take over Earth round that's why the Elder Gods created Mortal Kombat its first came up with the Mortal Kombat tournament to decide who would win over good versus evil
I loved the film. Had more swearing than I expected thanks to Kano, but that'll just make it more fun to count.
He probably had his daughter when he was very young teenager. Maybe that's the reason why they 'both' look so young!

For anyone who is not a Mortal Kombat fan, this is an objectively bad movie. Also it might be my nostalgia speaking but Mortal Kombat 1995 is much better than this.

Neither of those movies were good. They always retail the same story over and over. And it’s always just the same 5 characters . Scoprion,sub zero Sonya and raeidan and Kano. Like every movie they make in mortal kombat they always gotta just tell the same story over and over smh
Just no. Well, I'll just say that the acting in MK 95 was bad. And the acting in MK Annihilation was really bad.
It may not be as good graphicly but of mortal Kombat explains characters bit better and I would know characters better for this one plus games have all.lore
